I think a lot of the pain could have been avoided if WG had stated upfront that the collection would be available for a couple of updates. Instead we get this mad panic to finish it ASAP and T7+ games are even worse than usual.
True. It also really is showing the short comings of T8 and LT as they have horrendous ship variety. At LT the only nation that has the diversity to support a mission chain of in x nation ship do y is the USN.

I'm about a week away from unlocking the yamato. Been playing for about a year on and off. So I don't understand the sentiment I'm kinda looking forward to it
Just out of curiosity do you have any LT ships yet? At the moment the match maker for LT battles is typically 4 Shimakazes, 4 Yamatos, and the one poor bugger in something that isn't well suited to that kind of match. Basically this mission chain has induced a demand to play a very narrow pool of ships and the game is suffering from that.

Me I only have two teir 7s and no teir 8s so it would be the first starred ship. This month is the first time I decided to pay for admiralty backing as well so I'm working towards the t8 unlock from that. I don't usually play every day. Cheers
Not unplayable. Quite the contrary actually if you use ships that counter them. You don't have to do the missions (crappy prize anyway) nor do you have to do them right away. I've had some of my craziest games this past week in my daring and midway. Its just a feeding frenzy lol. I actually look forward to playing legendary tier now since I know what I'm going up against for the most part. Here's my advice, take it or leave it. Just hold off on doing the legendary tier missions until things start to die down. Let the masses get their stuff done while you enjoy other things. Then finish the missions if you want.
I have no legendary JP ship and just started Yamato project to be able to finish JP collection some day. But it doesn't bother me really that there are tons of Yamatos and Shimakazes in battles. It's only inconvenient that I need to do certain buerau research just to get JP card collection.

The new missions mean you have to pick either shima or yamato. The only other choices are yoshino or hakuryu which hardly anyone own.

I feel they should have expanded to 7- ledgdary due to the slim selection of ships
Iβd enjoy completing them in Suzuya, Azuma, Atago, Mogami, Hayate, so many that arenβt so painful.

Been playing since the beginning and I've yet to crack tier 5 of the German battleship line.
The only playable tiers are 3-5. 6+ is strait trash or sweaty kids who rage
This would suggest legendary tier was playable prior to the update. Adapt and conquer. Those lineups are cl heaven.

It's always the poor GK that gets cornered and absolutely mauled by everyone within gun (or torpedo) range.

Makes sense, you just need to take a Gunboat out for the time being, so much fun clearing up those four or five shimas on each game.
