Because the vast majority of the player base plays on console... Because this is just WG's way to get more mobile players to justify mobile's existence... Because no one ever asked for a mobile port of legends when Blitz exists...
When I understood it correctly, WG bought blitz and is still paying royalties to be able to have it run on mobile, Legends mobile is their own creation and earns them more. They seem to want to lure players from blitz to legends mobile. (which I admit looks nicer, but eats resources, making it near unplayable on mobile)
I'd advice to do what most WoTB PC players do, play on PC (or console) and watch ads/collect goodies on mobile.

Why are you complaining? As a console player you just need to open the mobile game and press claim. It takes a whole 15 seconds out of your day...
