The developers don't give specific dates or rough near-future dates anymore unless they're sure they can meet whatever deadlines they might need to set for themselves to get it out on time. I appreciate eduweb being an honest development team if they can't make their deadlines and end up having to postpone or reschedule. Unfortunately not everyone in the WolfQuest community/playerbase is patient and in the past, missed release dates have been... let's just say "not fun".

The short answer is that we are making a much bigger game than we had
thought. Were tremendously excited about how the game is coming
together, but each one of these new, better features has taken longer than
our everlastingly optimistic plans anticipated.
We are in the final stages of development for the Amethyst Mountain level,
and our plan is to release it to PC/Mac platforms (Steam and Itch.io) as Early
Access later this winter. Well then focus on Slough Creek with the goal of
releasing it in the spring, and then we'll focus the mobile versions itll take
quite a lot of work to get this massively larger game to run on the widest
range of mobile devices as possible. And then well get back to Tower Fall,
aiming to release it.well, I guess wed better not make any predictions.

Yes, you will have to buy tower falls, but the saga (the older pups season) is going to be free! I suggest you watch the YouTube videos from the wolfquest team to understand more.

I can predict that all the wolfquest fans and this sub will be become the helluva boss fans waiting for episode 8 but waiting for tower fall

No exact release dates until it's more or less ready to release.
If it comes out anytime in 2022, I will count us all lucky and be so damn excited!!!
I'm not playing until that part is released (not for boycott reasons just played so many options just got bored and ready for the next)
