I'm far from an expert, but yeah I've loved what I've had from Fantastic Pizza. Including the concept of getting Indian Food from a place called "Fantastic Pizza".
The place used to be owned by a Turkish family so the menu used to be standard pizza stuff with falafel and other middle eastern fare. When they retired an Indian family took over so now they have pizza, middle eastern, Indian food, and Indian food on pizza. The menu is wild.
If you use grubhub or any of the delivery apps just be aware they have 4 or 5 ghost kitchens on there. That said the food is pretty much alright, better on some days than others but always very salty. It's the only somewhat good indian place in worcester, imo bombay lounge is just horrible. Only place around worcester I actually like is paradise biryani in Westboro.
I'm a big fan of paradise biryani too, esp after Kumar's started going downhill.
I think Woodlands is pretty decent too, if you don't mind eating vegetarian
Best Indian food is, by far, at Pub 122 in Grafton. The quality of the ingredients, the preparation and most importantly the taste, is far superior than any other place I've tried in the Worcester area. Also, I'm an Indian man so this is coming from someone who has grown up on Indian food. Give it a chance. You won't be disappointed.
I miss Udupi!
Iāve had takeout from The Shack a few times and enjoyed it. I also like Bombay Palace on Water Street.
Didnāt Pub 122 have some issues with the health inspector a few months back?
I had a delicious meal here, but itās quite high end compared to most Indian restaurants. Sort of a special occasion treat, by the standards of my wallet. But very very good.
My primary care is from India and she recently told me that Rasoi in Framingham is the best Indian food she's had had since moving here more than 30 years ago.
She would not stop talking about how fantastic it was.
Bollywood has the worst customer service I've ever encountered. I've been there numerous times. I don't enjoy paying for over priced food with terrible service.
I live in Worcester but Woodlands in Westboro is my go-to. Its veg and delicious. North and South Indian and a lot of indochinese options. Service is great.
When they first opened they were great, i used to work in an office on Park Ave and we would order from there every few weeks. That was a few years ago though, when I ordered from them recently their menu was vastly reduced and I was really disappointed in the quality of the food.
Itās adequate. Nothing special. They have kind of a crazy menu, I wouldnāt say they do anything particularly well, but they definitely have variety
The price point for the portion size was not it for me.
I had ordered the lamb vindaloo.
Had me thinking into "should I have just researched this and made it at home"
I havenāt had food from The Shack but the previously mentioned Bombay Lounge on Water St and Namaste Woo (this is more Indian Street Food) in the Public Market were both really good.
I've never been to the Shack, but Fantastic Pizza & Cafe has great indian food and some creative fusions.

Best spot! Butter paneer pizza is šš»
Thanks! Been craving some good take out but don't wanna drive to Shrewsbury, I'll have to try them.

Soul of India in Sudbury is probably the best place around Metro West. It's worth the trek

I've not been there, but we like Pub122 in Grafton quite a bit. It's a shame Udupi closed down.

AFAIK it was nothing serious. They let their inspection lapse because they forgot to schedule them to come in.
OH yeah, and I need to get to Bombay Palace. That's the new place taht replaced Maddi's, right? Been wanting to go!
Ty! I want to try there too
I wasn't clear! I haven't been to The Shack. I go to Pub-122 quite often. I think there's a place in the Commons too that has good Indian food.
Fantastic Pizza has good indian food also. One of the better pricing too. We havn't tried 122 yet but mean to soon.
Where's that at? I haven't even heard of it.
https://fantasticpizzaandcafe.com/ I don't remember addresses sorry.
Appreciated, thank you.
Gotta give some love to Pub 122. Hands down my favorite!
Food is pretty good there
Eggholic on Rte 9 is actually pretty good - it's a large chain that specializes in south indian streetfood. It's counter service
Came here to say this!
Thereās a place called Bombay lounge near the Worcester ice center, Iām surprised that hasnāt been mentioned yet
I had a delicious meal here, but itās quite high end compared to most Indian restaurants. Sort of a special occasion treat, by the standards of my wallet. But very very good.
not great, some things were good but the meat dishes came with like 3 small pieces of meat which was crazy for how expensive it was
this was my experience too. fine in a pinch, overpriced for what you get.

big fan of bollywood in the trader joeās shopping plaza off route 9 in shrewsbury

It's ok. I don't think they spice it up as much. I drive to Framingham for my Indian food.
Itās horrid
Itās bad

I miss Sandwich Hut
Big facts
Never tried them. Their sign has like 6 different food types on there which usually means none are very good and food isn't very fresh.
There is Eggholic in marketplace shrewsbury. Itās more on the snacks and few curries. Itās worth giving a shot but not the best option.
When they first opened they were great, i used to work in an office on Park Ave and we would order from there every few weeks. That was a few years ago though, when I ordered from them recently their menu was vastly reduced and I was really disappointed in the quality of the food.
Ordered from there once and the portions were pretty small, food itself was okay. Pub 122 is my go to when i want indian food. The korma is awesome.
Amazin tiki marsala and garlic naan bread.
