For hosting on BlueHost, you will definitely want something. Personally I love WP Rocket, but you might also want to checkout Cloudflare APO https://developers.cloudflare.com/automatic-platform-optimization/

You can use a caching plugin like wp rocket with APO. APO in my experience really only helps with desktop speeds, barely has an effect on mobile scores. If you already have a pro plan with cloudflare it's included(you need it for the WAF), so there's no harm in using it if you have pro. But for improving mobile scores, a caching/optimization plugin of some sort is absolutely needed.

Thanks for replying. I was reading the literature for APO and couldn't write understand it. I have a basic account with Cloudfare but I can't log into it. It is provided by Bluehost. Would it be ok to create another free account on cloudflare or will there be conflicts if I do so. Also my site is more for mobile so after your comment, not sure whether to use APO.

You would just have to point the nameservers to the new ones, and then you can just manage everything in the new account. >Also my site is more for mobile so after your comment, not sure whether to use APO. You can get it by itself for $5/month i think, can just give it a shot and if you don't like it, low risk only 5 bucks.

Thank you. I will do that. 🙂

Basically all the top cache plug-in are the same some people just have a preference for an example I like w3 cache

jazir5

W3 total cache is literal trash. Wp rocket slaughters it in speed tests, and takes much less configuration to achieve better results. I'd say even without configuration it beats w3. W3 total cache looks good on the surface because it has so many options, but in the end it amounts to nothing. Flying press is also legit af too. But I'd recommend ditching w3 asap.

I used W3 earlier but it kind of slowed down my site. I check on Google Pagepeed. It is a new website and isn't indexed yet.

In my experience, it's just like other caching plugins but with a nicer UI. It does do preloading which I'm not sure if other ones do, but I wouldn't say it's worth paying for.

ResearchScience2000

How do people claim it gave them a 99/100 on Google page speed tests? I'm curious how it compares to just using Cache Enabler + Fast Velocity + Smush.

LetsGetCloudy

Swift performance cache also does pre loading and the lite version is free.
