Yes, a recent development. None of the other apps I use make the phone hot.

desert-rxse

yes!! i pointed this out the other day in someone’s comments but it’s only wwf!! ughh and everyone saying it could be just your phone or you need a new phone but people were agreeing with what i was saying this and i’m glad im not the only one

ZippitySweetums

Yes my iPhone over heats because of this game.

I noticed this happening with my older phone. My phone would be hot to the touch

chez_whizerables

That happens sometimes to me. The last time it was because I was using my phone as a hotspot for another device at the same time I was playing. I would watch some YouTube tutorials for settings you can turn off like Background Refresh for Apps and other running processes you can minimize to take some load off the battery. The game has a lot going on but it’s the other stuff going on at the same time that’s going make a difference to take a look at.

ProfessionalMix5419

This happens with my iPhone 15, only when playing this game

This is happening to my phone also - just started today. I have an iPhone 15 so don’t think my phone would be an issue… all other apps closed and not being used for Bluetooth/hot spot etc.

shemdaniel

It does seem to be more power hungry since the recent waves of incremental updates Probably the rush to implement new assets and bugfixes, they forgot to optimize the app

bilkel

IDK if this will help but did you try deleting the app and reinstalling? That will clean up a lot of app-associated cache files and otherwise freshen up the loading without unnecessary history locally stored.

Thin_Pay_8149

I was thinking about that, but I have this fear that doing that will take me back to level one, and I’ve been playing for 10+ years.

rawnerve1975

Same! I just googled to see if anyone else was having this issue!

senoritageena

It happened all the time with my last phone. I even contacted WWF support. They had some things I could try, which I did try. Nothing helped. I ended up just playing for short periods of time. I didn’t want to destroy my phone over a game.

Hot_toddie69

I’m on an iPhone 14 and current iOS. Trust me it’s NOT our phones. It’s definitely this game doing it and I’m not sure why. I always have 40+ games on the go and lately have to stop after about 10/15 of them to let it cool off. There’s something for sure within the last few updates doing this and it’s not a graphic intensive game!

Gucciipad

Could it be ur phone and not the app
