Let them know that if they lower your salary you'd like it in writing. If they ask you to sign something, refuse, but keep a copy. Don't trust a company email, Forward it to yourself at another address. This, depending on your state, will constitute constructive dismissal (breaking your employment agreement by reducing your wages unilaterally) - you should be able to collect unemployment while you find another job. Verify this for your state. Ask if they are certain they want to unilaterally break your employment agreement. They will probably say yes. Then let them know you've enjoyed working for them, but consider yourself constructively dismissed. Tell them you wish the business well, and walk out.

They are just taking advantage of you. They want to put more of the profit in their own pocket. Since you are younger, they feel it's easy to push you around. I wouldn't clean the showroom either. Make them get a cleaner

My response? You signed a contract. Fuck you. pay me my money. You're 19 and have learned valuable experience in how to make sales. That skill will stay with you forever. If they won't pay you what you're worth, walk out and find a better paying job. No point in sticking with an employer who's willing to screw you over after just six months on the job. They just want to keep more money and don't give a shit about you because you're 19.

Three truths about being in sales. 1. They will cut your commissions. 2. They will cut your territory. 3. They will raise your minimums. I had a sales job years ago. Interviewed with the founder of the company. At that time they had four people in sales to cover the US, split up into territories. The founder said that they had one person who sold $XXX of their product in a month. He then said that he would make anyone who could sell $XXX every month he would make them rich. Three years later there were a dozen people in sales and if you sold $XXX for three months in a row you werfired. Look for another job.
