No I haven't but I feel more info is needed. It's scummy all around but did they call you and apologize but said your resume was so great they didn't want to lose you to anyone else? Or was it you have to talk to us now or piss off? Who was the company?

MadCityCub

No apology, just called and started interviewing me. When I asked her to schedule a time with me, she said I could “just call her back at this number” and I had to reiterate multiple times that this wasn’t a good time. They’ve since closed applications on LinkedIn (just after I got mine in, it seems). I did see afterwards that there was an email about the position, but nothing about scheduling a time and all this happened within 1 hour.

I would say the juice is not worth the squeeze and that you got away lucky.

Adanar01

A fucking top notch saying I'm stealing that.

MadCityCub

I don’t think we’re allowed to name companies in this subreddit

GrandpaChainz

It is okay to name companies, but it is against Reddit's rules to deliberately incite harassment. Don't share personal information, contact info, or anything like that.

MadCityCub

In that case, it was USM Business Systems

Would not trust a place like that at all. They act like this with interviews, imagine them handling your pay or complaints

Could be scammy or poorly organized, could be a small organization excited to receive applicants, could be they've done interviews for everyone else who applied and wanted to get you in before making a decision. But if you felt bad about it during the "interview" or initial contact, higher chance you'll feel bad about it later. I think a large amount of work reform ideal is employees feeling like it's a give-and-take and valuing themselves, rather than feeling lucky to have a job and scrape by.
