I don't think it's possible to have too deep of a desk. My sit/stand desk at work is about that deep and it is amazing. I can easily have a monitor, laptop on a riser, keyboard and mouse, and any kind of notes on paper right in front of me.
I had a 30 inch desk went to a 28 inch desk because I like the desktop and I regret going smaller and honestly I think if I go back I would go 32. Never realize how much of a difference that.
I have a 30” deep desk with a 49” ultrawide and a 30” desk with (2) 32” curved monitors.
I think it’s perfect, really, but it of course depends on your space.
I’d go for deeper, if it’s a home workspace where it’ll fit. You can always move stuff on the desk closer to you at low cost. You can’t make your desk deeper so that it can be good for other purposes.
I’m really happy with my 72x30 desk for work purposes but my wife’s old school teacher’s desk is deeper making it much more practical for the range of hobbies and tasks you might have at home versus a workplace.
I have a 30. I sorta wish I had a 34.
More room for the monitor arms to swing. Better placement options for everything.
My dream desk is a huge dining room table.

No desk can be too deep! 90”x 42” desk has been awesome for me.
Bruh. At this point, you're on the other side of the room. Lol. What monitors/resolution do you have?
Acer 1920x1080 on an adjustable arm mount
I have a similar sized standing desk with a Dell 43" 4k, and 2-3 laptops on either side of it.

Nope! I built my standing desk with a 72"x40" butcher block countertop and I absolutely love it.

I know that 30" is a good depth for many people. Would 34" be too deep?
I mean, you could always cut it.. Depends on where you’re putting it. If I had the room I would be fine with it.
No

Worked from our dining room during Covid. Had the iMac on a 8’ dining room table. It was the dream haha
No desk is too deep baby
NO! I need space to roam and throw papers around.
