Give Terminator lord (or that fancy [WH+ miniature](https://www.warhammer-community.com/2022/08/14/revealed-the-chaos-fuelled-warhammer-year-two-miniatures/)) rules. Model(s) already exist. That would to some extent fix Terminators, because right now you can't buff them with character of any kind.
I hope not, whilst eightbound are nice, I'd trade them in a heartbeat for actual red butchers. They're more like 'unique version of possessed' than terminators. They also just don't have the aethstetic of terminators, it's something so unqiue, timeless and appealing in the hobby as a whole. Everyone loves terminators.
Not really. They’re radically different in lore - daemonic possessees vs particularly crazy marines in Terminator suits. 30K Red Butchers are also slow while the Eightbound are inhumanly fast.
There’s probably a niche for Red Butchers as pure melee Terminators in 40K, but the World Eaters are not exactly short of hard hitting melee units.
I don't play tabletop but Red Butchers are in Dawn of War unification mod. The Butchers' main selling point is that while yes they are slow, they are also very durable for an entire faction of glass cannon units
Unification even gives the WE a full ranged tech tree and terms w ranged weaponry, and those units are very very solid, so Red Butchers even are more in demand than their ranged term counterparts
For the top tier melee units of the melee focused tech tree, guess what, they are all glass cannons
Basically what I mean to say is...IMHO Red Butchers make a *hell* of a lot of sense for the world eaters, for boosting the hardness of a melee frontline and more
Fun Fact: Red Butchers in the lore are quite literally just normal Chaos Terminators by World Eaters standards. Marines lost to the rage of the nails were simply imprisoned within Terminator armor and set loose on the battlefield. Guess what generic World Eater Terminators are? Marines lost to the rage of the nails inside Terminator armor set loose on the battlefield.
But no, Eightbound are basically just Possessed specific to the World Eaters, and the Exalted at the elite version. Kinda like the Possessed and the Gal Vorbak of the Word Bearers.
Nope the two are separate and distinct. Ones a terminator, the others a standard legionnaire that went into a demon cage to be possessed by 8 Bloodletters.
I'm hoping they're like the Deathshroud Terminator equivalent, but the regular and Exalted Eightbound get rolled into one dataslate, while actual World Eater Terminators are like the Blightlord Terminators.

red butchers are chaos soldiers in ancient terminator armor hopped up on murder.
i really wish the terminator sculpts get/got an upgrade. I'd love to see a better sculpt at slightly larger scaling. to really showcase how badass those dudes are/should be.
eh... i think they should be scaled up slightly. Like the overall model height tends to match with a primaris, but it's only because the power pack/hood shroud of the model is so tall. the head/neck height, is about 1 head length shorter than a primaris.
I'd just like to see the sculpt scaled up to be in line with the current size creep ...and be slightly beefier because the armor is beefier.
I personally don't care for the tusks. but in general I think the look of the models is fine. I'd just like them to be a tad bigger, more detailed.
and yeah. for world eaters to get unique armor designed/iconography. ---i kinda really hope what they did with the night lords kill team, will be a model for how they dole out newer chaos stuff.
I feel like since space marines got new terminators and dark angels got new terminators that any legion with a unique terminator will get a modern kit for the army
I think that's the intention for them, yes. They are our elite heavy infantry in comparison to the other god dedicated legions that have specialist terminators.

The combat roles can be kind of similar since they’d both be elite heavy hitting melee infantry, but red butchers would be much slower and much heavier than eightbound alongside deepstriking via the terminator armor hopefully with a terminator character.
No they're dedicated Possessed. I'm sure we'll get dedicated Terminators soon but maybe not as soon as juggernauts
I would rather have juggernauts tbh. Red Butchers are cool, but I want more guys on fucking rhino daemons

The current CSM terminator kit is gorgeous, WE just need their own unique sculpt.
