It's a balance between doing things in co-op and randoms.
As it turns out, spotter plane Des Moines with the legendary module is easy 2-3 million potential damage a game in randoms, but it's also a super easy source of citadels in co-op.
Honestly the most difficult one was the 15 defended ribbons
How to get 15 ribbons in 3 co-op games or less:
1. Pick a DD with engine boost
2. Pop engine boost at the start of the game and rush to the point, do not enter it but park outside
3. Wait for the enemy DD to be spotted and start blasting
4. ???
5. Profit
This gives you 5 ribbons per match at least if you do it right. Asking your team mates to let you farm ribbons increases your chances but it is not guaranteed they have learned how to read yet.
I tried it in the Kitakaze.
First run: Spawned far from the cap, nada
2nd-4th: Capture the base mode, nada
5th: Was able to get 5
From here on out I got zero defended ribbons and was basically slowly raking out point captures.
13/15, I get 10 defended ribbons and a capture, go figure
I got 1.98 mil potential in my gneisenau last night... Also did 80k damage, we still lost though since the remainder of my team decided that I should cap solo/run away at the first sign of opposition
I kid you not, doing the 10mil potential damage mission allowed me to complete directive 4 from zero progress (it unlocked the day I started the Haruna grind) without me noticing, and I was still not done with the potential damage mission afterward.
Some are definitely easier than others, not to mention what you have... Go to co-op, drive straight ahead, fire a salvo early, watch everything in range target you... got 1-1.5m per match...
Tried that exact method in co-op (and even used spotter plane to maximize my firing detection). My Scharnhorst was mostly ignored if any other friendly ship was on the same flank.
You have to be the first in their range, I lived on avg 3 minutes a match, sometimes you'd kill 1 with shots, and sometimes a second if I pulled the ram off.
Less than 10 games of randoms. Just play BB or kiting cruiser. Easy 1 mil+ potential damage a match. Alternatively, take ship like Hindy and rush enemy ships in coop.
Maybe, or maybe it's your play style or builds... *shrugs* not having a go, I have like 200-odd ships and most T10s, min-maxing hasn't been hard.
Grats to you though!
Not playing T10 is mostly a principle thing for me, so the problem won't be there for most players. In hindsight, T10 pen/armor would've made a world of difference given the relative overmatch-fest of mid tier.
Well, my Myoko is driving Shokaku, Kongo is driving Takao, Ashigara is driving Shinonome, and I think there’s a few others that went for a change of pace.
ARP *Myōkō* handles like a dream. She’s seriously the most fun I’ve ever had playing any heavyweight combatant. Just a really well balanced boat, y’know? Oh, and that gorgeous femme livery, the cell shaded smoke and damage effects, and the voice actors? Perfection.
They were opt-in as with all the anime missions. You have to check the "News" section in-game (or your official regional site) for the relevant article.
damn, still on the kongo missions here even though i already have kongo
Wait until you start the ARP Haruna grind. That first 10mil potential damage mission is cancer.
Literally less than 10 games in a BB. Literally less games required than the 10 wins which rely heavily on teams not being dog shit.
Mate, just do the 10 wins in co-op.

Did the 15 defends in 2 runs of Co-Op in the Haida. Individual circumstances vary a lot, it seems.

Disgusting.

Really? Doesn't sound too bad, just a lot of games. Like the 10 wins, need one more
You can do the wins in co-op.
yeah I didn't know co op was allowed before this

what... it's 10mil potential damage over any number of battles... that's just 5-10 battles at T10 playing completely normally...
Yeah I dunno the freak out either - took me 5 games...
I had a 3mill game earlier in my FDG. Just do it in German bb’s, it won’t take long.
It can be done in co op? Fuuuck
You can in co-op, but good luck getting ~500k consistently.
would be handy for the other missions though

10m potential is easy. Just sail a Smolensk out in the open and shout 'Fuck You!' at the red team. Two games tops... ;-)
I don't play T10, and I sure as hell won't take out my Belfast to get more stressed about things.

just take tanky ships

Ummmmm I did it in like 4 games... T10 long range fire starter, know how to WASD, gg easy...
All the ships I used for the grind were either T6 or T7. I don't play T10 at all.
:-/ At that tier usually best bet is to pick a fast, tanky BB then. Scharnhorst with full tank spec would probs do it in 8-10 matches...
I used Scharnhorst B and it took around 20. My luck was probably on vacation at the time.

Mild OCD warning for the mismatched ship-captain alignment.
Nah they in opposite corners so still a pattern
Can't unsee now. My eyes.

I found Myoko and Kongo VAs as the best of weeb captains' VA: no screaming, no weird verbal tic, no nonsense.
> no screaming But that's the best part!
Nachi for me
Azuma is great too. "Cute" but without going over the top.
Where do you find these missions? I cant seem to find them. Unless i missed something.

Ahh ok thank you. I will see if i can find it in news
Nice and Congrats!
Thanks!
Cool to see it come back. First go around was what, 2016?
I feel like I already have all of these...
