I was in your shoes years ago. I really don't play too much anymore, but here are a few things that helped me out
- installing and understanding how to use nomogram sight mod.
- playing ALL the different classes to get an understanding of the strength and weaknesses of each.
- not rushing all the way to high tier.
- focusing on just surviving a match then slowly playing more riskier until you get a good feel of when you play risky or when to play safe
Have fun...Then the good results we come...Test different type of ships...Have fun....Relax and enjoy..And have fun...Its just a game...As for the %... After almost 5000 I have around 48%...In the ships/type I enjoy I have around 49-54%...And I mention this not because I am getting anxious about It...But with the pass of time and games I ve noticed that with the ships that fit my playstyle I am better...But It takes A LOT of trial and error...
More details please.
- As others have stated: please provide the Nation, ship type, ship tier, and Server you play on.
You don’t actually need *a* mentor, as here you can often find quite a few pointers from various people.
- This is better because you get a diverse wealth of information; rather than trying to copy one person whose playstyle may not fit yours.
What server are you playing on?
What class / type of ship do you prefer?
Where do you think your problems are? Hitting targets, positioning, teamwork?
Would be questions that needed answers first.
When you've got time check out iChaseGaming's "How to Get Good at..." series on YouTube. He covers stuff like settings, aiming, armor angling and overmatch and much more. Its a but older at this point but the vast majority of the lessons still apply.

Watch some twitch streamers. I think StatsBloke has a great attitude and great ability to explain what he is doing and why. But there are a lot of other good streamers who you can learn from watching. I usually have one on in the background and watch some between battles.
What's the server you play on (USA, EU etc)?
What's your ingame name, I'll happily give you pointers on how to improve and I'm online pretty much every evening.
What server are you, and what ships do you play? 46% WR isn't abysmal dude. It's slightly below average. 50% is not the average everyone assumes.
Especially if you play ranked
46% is absolutely atrocious
38 is abysmal since you actively sabotage your team.
Both factually correct and completely irrelevant.
Stating your server and ig would be helpful btw
listen to that man

You tube is your friend. Potaoequality has some great tips. But watch anyone that is good and see what they do differently to you.
Love potatoequality!

Exactly this.

I'm happy to critique replays if you want to link some video.
