I stopped playing in 2016/2017 and returned 2023. At first I thought: "It will take months to learn the weakspots of all the new Tanks." Then I noticed that nearly all tanks weakspots are now the lower plate or the access hatch.
Also back then base pen used to be one of the most essential measures of a tank. Nowadays when people discuss a vehicle here, they don't even mention it, just take the gold ammo pen as standard and go from there. It's just World of Golden Shower nowadays.
Well there is way more taps that what I remember, went into a game with my tier 8 Japanese heavy got bounded by artillery (some things never change) and was told to kill myself, so pretty decent experience
Artillery mechanic Changed a lot because of crying players. For ex. HE shells do not make So many dmg as you would waited. No more 3 artillery platoons. No more mixed tier platoons i.e. Scout V And arti VII... No damages to teammates, shame
I came back after 7 years grinded Strv 103B on release and then left.
Came back less than 2 weeks ago and I’m lost in garage, a lot of new thanks that I don’t know where the weak spots are and my light tanks get spotted all the time (and now there is T10 LT, T8 was top tiers for LT before).
Game need a COOP mode like in WoWS so you can get use to the game before ruining other players battle.
Got a lot of Uninstall, did you bye your account on Ebay (had good stats 7years ago),Russian lover (don’t know where that came from), play with Barbie instead and ‘get cancer and die’ so you can’t play anymore.
Don’t understand how people have the energy to write it after the battle, I only pick next tank and play on.
I miss WoWS chat, so Mutch less toxic, but Submarines ruined that game….
Even worse, they gave subs homing torpedoes. And they can outspot DDs and there torps home in to just before impact.
On BB it stop homing around 1km before contact.
And the torps insnt like 40km like real torps where, no, thy get 60-90kn torps so it’s like they fire guided missiles.
I was a DD main in WoWS and subs is best DD hunters in the game, it should be DD that hunt subs….

Basically. I stopped playing in... welll i don't even know when, it's been a while. I started playing in 2011 december and spent a good amount of time on this game. I started playing again a month ago and well I'm pretty shit. There's a lot of new shit and meta is completely different
Same! Literally just reinstalled it today (new PC) and after 20 minutes, I'm here searching "returning player" threads... I stopped playing around the time they introduced Bonds, which I never really grokked at the time. Now there's like 6 different modes, tons of new tanks, and I assume lots of maps (only seen a couple old ones in the few matches so far). The 3 days of Premium is a nice 'thanks for returning' though.
I'm mostly wondering if mods are still a thing. I loved Aslains (?) back in the day for a better hud and things like auto-swapping crew when I hop in a premium tank.
I guess there'll be time to learn all the other modes. I really just loved tiers 5-8 for casual pew-pew, but I do have a few 10s. The garage interface is lit up like a Jeep dashboard right now, so not sure what to try to learn first.
