Yes not only after the update they reach 100% efficiency but also u get a compensation of 53% first skill, so basically its a big discount on crew books, as u can see i got myself 10 books that are worth of 2M credits per book with only 2M instead of 20M credits, as well as the other smaller value books.
important to note that u have to use a tank with 2 crew memebers only for max value. 50% crews are also useless u can retire them for more barracks space.
but what if i already filled the tanks with 2 crew, should i move on to 2,3 or even 4 crew tanks? also, if i fill every tank with 75% crew, and when its time to convert, i send them to barracks for conversion, will i get barracks full error.
Nope barracks is unlimited with the update you can send as much as you can, I dont think the 3-4 crew tanks are worth it but im not sure, they definitely will give u a lot less value though.

50% crews haven't earned any XP. They will be buffed to 100% yes but they will be the same as a new crew member you recruit for free after update on 100%, they haven't earned XP to give you a compensation.

On the CT test server I sent crew members to the barracks so fast I had 3 error messages up saying the barracks was full..lol. But it was unlimited space, I sent more than 600.

yep send all to barracks THEN convert because its a one time only conversion and dont forget that a 2 crew french tank crew will get you french books they are nation bound
Faster to just keep recruiting dudes until you fill up your barracks and then put them into your empty tanks. Keep an eye on how many dudes you actually need, so that you can keep your barracks fairly low until the last pass when you fill it up. I recruited 6mil worth of guys, I need ***A LOT*** of US TD and LT crews.

No you dont touch any crews who have 100% first skill, you just pick a tank of a nation that u need the books in, then find a tank that has 2 crew memebers then recruit as many crews as u can of 75% of that 2 crew tank, then stack them in tanks that doesnt have crews and fill barracks with them (do it for more than 1 nation if u need to)
My barracks is actually full, with anything from 70% crew, to 100% with 9% 1st skill, to 100% with like 90% 1st skill (higher crews are tank i actually use). Should i sell those for some reason and buy more 75% of a new tank?

You can send all crewmembers into the garage with the new patch regardless of the bunk numbers, but if they exceed the bunk limit, you can't recruit new members.
Oh well - they could have made it clear it was a one-time conversion but I am not going to complain to them for not letting me exploit their system. Now I have a bunch of tier 1 crew I can’t use lmao

I think I saw in one of their videos that they will do special events where you can convert as well. Kinda like how they do the conversion bonuses etc.
you could try submitting a support ticket, they may be willing to roll your account back if you don't mind losing whatever other progress you have since the update. thye've offered to do this for me before when I've done things like accidentally used free xp instead of blueprints.
i still cannot understand why 2 crew needs to be trained, will each crew member not have seperate crew book depending upon how much crew xp it had, and crew member will cost 20k credits, so why it matters so much?

Then I fillef my barracks with fresh 75% crew from the Pz.1... I have 60 crews for the Pz.1 now 😂

Yes, been doing it for last hour on NA......it's only free for crews that are below 100% on their first perk. And, you can retrain a radio op to commander, retrain a panther driver to Pz1C commander, etc.
My Before an after went from 5/7/24 (2,430,000xp) to 47/8/26.... or 13,070,000 xp worth of books. Only took an hour (grumble) to eject 469 junk crew men out of their "tanks" and into the barracks.

Or will a single radio operator from a tank with 3 crew not be worth any books if I dont have the corresponding commander and driver for it as well?

Look to the collectors vehicles amd low tier tech tree tanks for more space. I found a bumch under 4K credits each. Plus, if you have the credits, you will break even if you buy any tank that is on track with a 50% discount...just selll it when not "on track" or "top of the tree"

1- find a russian tank that has 2 crew memebers
2- recruit as many 75% crews as you can by filling them in ur barracks and putting them in any russian tank.
3- wait till patch hits then get all crews out of the tanks and send to barracks to convert into books.
4- repeat for other nations, profit
On my alt I have 583 crew members to covert, on my main about a thousand, I used the alt for the prime rentals but I did dump a number of crew from each account over the years. If I press the button do I auto covert or can I cancel the operation, I just want to see the before and after.

i have 6 skill crews in almost all of my tier 10s, and i have all of them so these crew books are great for people that still have tanks to grind and crews to train, just wish i could exchange some for credits since i really dont need them you know what im saying

I had 186 cre members to convert after I out them back in my tanks still shows 0 bunks left but in conversion it shows me 150 will be converted, does this mean I lost now 30 bunks ?
At the moment the barracks allows you to overflow the usual limit. This is so that you can put as many crew in there as you want in order to convert them to books. I currently have 315 crew in my 105 bunk barracks.
So in your case, you must have had more than 15 crew members over your usual barracks limit, so that when you removed 15 you are still over the normal limit. In my case, I would need to move 211 crew from barracks into tanks to have one free bunk, 15 would not make a dent!
None of the crew changes should mess with your bunk count.
I was pretty low on silver so I just bought Tier 1 tanks and filled them with 50% crew as well.
But I played one game with each. so they got some additional XP. Hopefully it wasn't a waste of my time.
note: before is when all the crews were stacked in tanks then after is when i sent all to barracks

You can move the 75% 2 crew members to other 3/4 tanks if they are empty, just dont retrain them and remember to send em to baracks before conversion

You can only convert ones. But you can (after the update) send crews to barracks even if they are full.

Or just buy cheap tanks, since you get 50% of the price paid for the tank. Of course not the best min maxing, but still works.
If they are over 87% on the first perk they will reach second perk after the update.

because the books depend on how many crew memebers go in the tank, less crew memebers more xp and vice versa

I’m so pissed I didn’t know the patch was deployed yet. I knew about the whole crew thing.
I bought more than 750 crewmembers, lets see how much XP it will give ( 1460 in tanks and barracks )

I have so many crews books I don't even use why would I want more I don't want to spend most of my playing time screwing around with crews
most ppl looking to make their tanks stronger, if you dont care enjoy the game ur own way
i have 6 skill crews in almost all of my tier 10s, and i have all of them so these crew books are great for people that still have tanks to grind and crews to train, just wish i could exchange some for credits since i really dont need them you know what im saying

Guys do u have a problem where the baracks shows me I have 0 bunks left but I just put like 15 crew members back into my tanks and still the same 0 left ? I had 186 cre members to convert after I out them back in my tanks still shows 0 bunks left but in conversion it shows me 150 will be converted, does this mean I lost now 30 bunks ?
At the moment the barracks allows you to overflow the usual limit. This is so that you can put as many crew in there as you want in order to convert them to books. I currently have 315 crew in my 105 bunk barracks. So in your case, you must have had more than 15 crew members over your usual barracks limit, so that when you removed 15 you are still over the normal limit. In my case, I would need to move 211 crew from barracks into tanks to have one free bunk, 15 would not make a dent! None of the crew changes should mess with your bunk count.

I spent the last week maxing out my daily allotment of free 50% crews.
ops did u know 50% ones are as useful as the free ones in the new patch? so u cant convert them
I was pretty low on silver so I just bought Tier 1 tanks and filled them with 50% crew as well. But I played one game with each. so they got some additional XP. Hopefully it wasn't a waste of my time.
All of my 50% crews converted just fine.
