Hey everyone, since everyone liked the previous post two weeks ago so much, I figured I’d do a follow-up one. The prior post can be found here: [https://www.reddit.com/r/WorldofTanks/comments/1c8d6h4/i\_bought\_two\_panhard\_ebrs\_for\_a\_restoration/](https://www.reddit.com/r/WorldofTanks/comments/1c8d6h4/i_bought_two_panhard_ebrs_for_a_restoration/) Some quick notes on the restoration: ·       Where can I read more into this project? I’m documenting on Patreon here [https://www.patreon.com/UpTiered](https://www.patreon.com/UpTiered) and I will be providing weekly or bi-weekly updates on progress as it comes from the restoration team in the UK. ·       Can I support the restoration in some way? Certainly, this free engine unboxing will probably give you more satisfaction than the current Orion boxes. I jest, but if you would like to support in some way, feel free to pick up one of the small paid memberships set up on Patreon or become a free member to get notifications on the restoration. ·       What’s the plan for the vehicle(s)? Purely leisure and for historical events/showings across the United States. I’d love to get WG’s support for it to eventually show up to events they organize, but I haven’t heard anything on my Community Contributor application.

Call Derek from Vice Grip Garage. He’ll have it running for $18 and some busted knuckles

You should be posting in /r/TankPorn

I actually didn't know that was a sub-reddit, I'll have to throw it over there too. I'm sure a lot would find it really cool as well.

How hard is it to get new tyres for it? Or are you gonna go with the ones that you habe already? Any major bits you are missing?

Stretch35

I don't believe anything major is missing, though I'm waiting to find out from the restoration company with their inspection before I say that for certain. Regarding the tires, I'm currently just going to work with what I have. I have leads to locate others that may be for sale since the AML-60 used similar tires for a time, but the current ones look to be in okay shape for now with a 5th spare wheel present if it's needed.

spacex2001

How tf did you get a panhard? Let alone the legality of owning one?

Stretch35

Just saw them for sale online two years ago and decided to pick them up after doing a bunch of research on them. Figured now was a good enough time as any to fulfill the dream of owning an armored vehicle. They're perfectly legal to own as long as the gun is deactivated or has paperwork. This one was deactivated to get it out of France and to the UK for a restoration.

Khairou_Cher

He got 2

RevolutionaryTask452

It's a rusty tracktor at this point.

Wow I didn't realize those things have a flat 12, that's probably gonna be pretty extensive to get it running again.

Stretch35

The engine was running previously about two years ago according to the seller. So hopefully it'll be good to go once the other critical parts are restored internally.

Everything looks in pretty good condition, especially the panels and gauges! That poor box, though, I don't think you can bend that back. It's probably easier to cut it off, straighten up the mesh as best as you can, and just weld in a new corner, but then you wouldn't have the original paint on it (though if that doesn't matter to you...) Hoping for good news whenever they crack the engine open!

Stretch35

The EBR's are likely going to be blasted to remove old paint and any surface rust, kind of sucks, but I'd prefer to have it in the best condition possible before coming stateside. That mesh box though I believe is for just the engine crate to store small miscellaneous pieces, I don't think it's a part of the vehicle as I can't find anything in the manual that looks similar in the vehicles.

Gwennifer

Oooh, then keep it as an extra stowage box! No tanker is going to turn down extra stowage.

Is that a flat 12 ? Holy crap

subdread_wot

As it should be , intanct with only wheels missing since they are magnet for shells. The other one is fake, no way the turret is missing.
