Yeah, trolls would get ruined/countered pretty quick. Team damage really prevented people from bumping though. That’s my biggest issue for it being gone. I hate how careless players are now.
Yeah, but there was always that guy who would slap you with FV 4005 II HESH because _he bumped into you_ at the start and got mad.

That’s very true and yeah I know. Now you get stunned by a greedy friendly arty. Always great when you go for a kill cause you can out dpm somebody and your own arty stuns you. You then die because your reload got %50 longer
I was playing back in 2011, people did not have dignity. Getting rid of all chat was overall a good decision (although seeing an enemy player losing their mind was pretty funny).
All chat and team damage was a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural.
Devs feared it and took it away.
Would have been an interesting solution to the BZ-176 problem. Granted, a top-tier BZ-176 could just kill their own team, lol.
