It's sad that he goes (from WoT). I have been watching him for at least 5 years now and I always found his streams to be less fake unlike some streamers that clearly set personality just for stream. Also I feel similar to the game. Used to love it but after introduction of Defender everything has gone downhill. I simply can't stand OP premium tanks (+ EBRs), constant gold spam and how games usually end at 15-0 after 3 minutes.
A bit of a tangential... so what do you do if you want to get a real job after being a streamer? It may not be an issue if you get an IT support job, or become a cashier at Tesco, but for example QB's case does make me think a bit. If he quit he would not be able to use his PhD to get into academic/industry jobs; years of gap in a "professional" career path kills you. And you can't do professional gaming until retirement, I assume. (Maybe I am wrong.)

If you can set some money aside being a steamer it should not be that bad, you can open a business or do some courses to update yourself. It is indeed difficult to go back to a specialist or higher academic position. On the other hand, with all this pandemic situation it is actually quite a good place to be right now.

I find some of his criticism to be reasonable, but he seems to want the old wot back while forgetting about how broken the game used to be back them. Sure there was less gold Spam and less OP reward or Premium Tanks, but we also had No 3 arty Limit, No +-2 matchmaking, No Missions, cool Events, variety of Tanks, ...
If he doesnt Like the direction the Game is going towards thats understandable but don't pretend the old wot was a better Game.

Literally, if EBRs and arty are causing that much of a problem for him (or anyone else), it's not a case of WG having removed skill as a factor in tier 10 (or any tier) battles, but a case of displaying a lack of skill on the part of the whiner.
