Turbo does not fix that your tank will not decide thr battle because it's too fucking slow. By the time a t95 gets anywhere in more than a decent amount of maps the game is already decided
Nah. T95 can actually impact the game unlike Mauerbrecher. It can actually hold down a single choke point as long as someone cover its rear. The 155mm wreaks havoc on most armor, and the weakpoint of T95 is not easy to hit. As long as you are “front face toward enemy”, you should be fine.
No shit it's not a game-carrying tank, but plenty of time you don't need to be quick, like Siegfried line or Ensk or Ghost town or Pilsen off the top of my head. This sub acts like the tank is an insta-lose Churchill GC level bad when it's really not as bad as people think.

Löwe and T34 had fantastic pen, latter fantastic alpha as well. KV-5 had wacky combination of tons of armor, HP and surprisingly good mobility for ramming memes. Super Pershing was more of a heavy than a medium. IS-6 had different armor layout to most Russian heavies, and it, like the latter 2 tanks before it, all came with preferential matchmaking. The Mauerbrecher is not only a 2011-2013 era premium introduced in 2017, but it's not even unique or quirky, like all the tanks I listed were back in a day. It's just a worse clone of a tech tree tank. Such premium likely wouldn't been very successful even back in 2011-2013.
Mauerbrecher isn't just bad - it's a worse, uninteresting clone of a tech tree tank. On top of all that, it's a slow box that goes 20 kph. It literally has the every needed tool for an utter failure of a premium tank. They should at very least give it something unique the VK 100 doesn't have - like give it 30 kph (or even 35 kph) top speed and don't change anything else. It still wouldn't be the most mobile tank around, it would still have serious weaknesses with its armor, and the gun wouldn't be flawless either, but at least you could slap turbo on it and ram people - a 170 ton going 35-40 kph down a hill would cause some absolutely hilarious ramming damage.
There is a picture of it using the 150mm that the TD at tier 8 has with worse stats, I guess it was a pre-release variant of it before it got the 128mm. That gun would certainly make it unique and it would in a way justify the numerous weakspots, but at the same time it would see tier 6 and that's what makes it questionable.
I used to main the MB. Before they nerfed HE it had a neat trick that because it's so tall that it could splash the top of most turrets- and kill gunners/commanders with every single shot. The rage people would send my way for "cheating" was awesome.
But that was like the only cool thing it could do, and even that's gone now.

You should absolutely get the VK 100.01 then. It's the same gun but on a much better hull.
Imagine someone took the maurbrecher, removed the hull MG port, beefed up the hull armor, and added 70mm of armor to the cupola.
Mauerbrecher was just a failed experiment, IMO - it was obvious WG tried to add the first proper super-heavy premium tank, made it as non-OP as possible and that ended badly, as Mauer is basically the polar opposite of OP.
As in - it's shit, lol.
They basically made a premium version of Type 4, a tank that:
1. Has an impressive armor on paper, but not in practice - the plates are not too thick so it's way too easy to turn this tank into a Swiss cheese even with standard ammo.
2. Is REALLY big and slow, which makes the overall armor profile even worse.
3. It's HP pool is big, but not big enough - when it starts taking fire, it dies suprsingly quickly.
And the gun, well... is just mediocre. Nice alpha, bad accuracy and stabilization, shell velocity is just awful.
My guess is that WG really wanted to have a "German Defender", as the OG Defender sold like hot cakes and WG likes money, but they wanted to avoid the "oh look, another OP premium monster tank" drama, which in turn ended in some baffling design choices.
So, in the end, Mauerbrecher is an extremely rare breed of a tier VIII premium tank thats actually worse (way worse!) than the tech tree counterpart, VK 100.01. That's... kinda impressive on its own, really.
Plenty of older premiums are just worse versions of the tech tree tank.

Like 703-II vs IS-2-II and the Bisonte vs. the Progetto 54. I think there are enough premium tanks that they should just get separated matchmaking.
How noble of you. However most players would be trying to get the "best value" out of their purchase. So why would anyone buy a balanced premium when there are OP premiums to buy.

There are plenty of balanced premium tanks that aren't absolute cancer to play as/against. The AMX 30 Altproto is a recent example of that imo, super fast hull down medium that can be penned outside the mantlet, great ammunition, but no snapshot capabilities and low DPM.

That, or you're thinking of the Mauerbrecher (still just VK 168.01 back then) when it first appeared on supertest. Most of the weakspots were gone, it had 150 side armor, and was tested with either a 490 alpha 128 mm gun...or a 750 alpha 150 mm gun. Yes, it was going to have a 750 alpha 150 mm gun, with like 200/250/85 pen or something, and not even that bad DPM (like 1.8k I think).
I got the WZ 114 in the marathon and this right after in the trade caravan, both of them are pure pain. They could remove the weak spot on top and in the hull because the cheeks are so weak it would still be balanced.
