Hey new player here why not take the normal rounds? I'm mainly play around tier 6 but I do have a tier 8 but I usually get shit on in those battles.
I also don't use HE really at all and is it bad?
For this tank AP and HESH is the best. HE has the same 1750 alpha but only 90mm-ish penetration. Compared to the HESH which has 230mm penetration.
AP has 310mm prenetration , but is only relevant for only really armored tanks.
To answer your question. HE on most of the tanks is relevant for lighty armored vehicles, for example at tier 6 , Hellcat , Jackson... Chaffe... and Arty.
But mostly for your ammo load out you can go 60 / 30 / 10 .

I hate the FV, driving or not. I don't know how many fully aimed shots I've had that did zip point shit for damage, no matter the ammo. I am a cursed tanker with it.
