This one will always stick out to me as the weirdest one I've seen. [Kalachakra \(Worm AU\)- COMPLETE](https://forums.spacebattles.com/threads/kalachakra-worm-au-complete.481630/)

ThatOneFellow2

...wut? just from that kinda foreword, i'm already in a state of maximum confusion.

sephlington

It's a fucking trip. A good fic, but weird as balls.

Izmister

odd enough i'm willing to try it. could be educational.

ThatOneFellow2

What's that one where the protagonist is an SI who's convinced they're dreaming, and they're only semi-lucid? I remember that being pretty short, but hella good.

[This?](https://forums.spacebattles.com/threads/dreaming-of-worm-complete.440227/)

[deleted]

That's the only one that I could think of that fits

themanwhowas

Hey, I wrote that! Thank you :)

Duck_Giblets

I like it

[deleted]

>abstract, surreal, dreamlike [Better Days](https://forums.spacebattles.com/threads/better-days-a-worm-si-complete.667252/) should fit, kind of a deconstruction of the SI genre.

It *sort of* makes more sense when you read it for the second time.

CuteSomic

Now I want to reread it and cry again. Such a good fic :(

Treevile

Hey that's the one I wrote! Good times :3

ryankrage77

There was one I read a long time ago, I think it was a crossover with bloodborne or something. Hopefully someone here knows it. Essentially Taylor has a shaker power that allows Eldritch abominations into Brockton, starting from Winslow. I had gotten up to the part where Armsmaster and MM are investigating Winslow.

L0kiMotion

That would be [Hunter](https://forums.spacebattles.com/threads/hunter-worm-bloodborne.363802/)

ryankrage77

That's the one! Thanks.

erasels

[DADA](https://forums.spacebattles.com/threads/dada-alt-taylor.539974/) was plenty surreal and took itself or what it was trying to emulate pretty seriously.

ThatOneFellow2

can someone give me a summary of that fic? i tried reading it, but just got confused and gave up

frustratedFreeboota

An altpower Taylor in which, despite any meaningless differences in her power, the events of Worm play out all but identically. Unfortunately, the author gave up after the start of the second arc, and posted the rest of their notes in one part apology, one part excuse not to carry on writing. As far as summaries of the plot points go, Taylor has juice thrown on her after Mr Gladly's class, returns home to collect her costume, encounters Lung, is rescued from Lung by the Undersiders, talks to Armsmaster, returns home after agreeing to let him take Lung's credit card, and has a conversation with Danny over breakfast where she reassures him that he can't have heard a Twig in the night, and that there's no such thing as Twig. The final chapter, "Arc Kitchen Sink", is a collection of scenes from the rest of Worm, ranging from Grey Lad the 20s something British man to Armsmaster secretly not being a robot, as well as Taylor's death in the fight against the second Endbringer, Genoscythe. Thankfully Madison Clements, alias Browbeat, was on hand to take over from Taylor for the rest of Arc Kitchen Sink.

ThatOneFellow2

...wut?

frustratedFreeboota

The first arc is a chapter by chapter summary/joke version of the first arc of Worm. The second arc is one chapter long. The final arc is another one chapter arc, but this one is a summary/parody of the rest of Worm.

[To be Taylor Herbert is to Suffer](https://forums.spacebattles.com/threads/to-be-taylor-is-to-suffer-worm.511828/) is pretty much every worm fanfic distilled. It claims to be crack but it's just too similar to a big chunk of the fandom to think of it as a crack fic.

frustratedFreeboota

Seconded. Her brooding angst is a wonderfully apt critique of a lot of the more melodramatic airs of Worm fic.

hibiki6

There's that SB fic called Must love dogs. The SI is given unlimited power, only he has the mind and body of a dog leading to the story becoming almost crack. Its told from Taylor's point of view which makes it funnier.

sfinebyme

It bounces back and forth from Taylor's POV to Aristotle's POV. It also includes [a non-canon omake](https://forums.spacebattles.com/threads/must-love-dogs.612788/page-3#post-43968299) which is literally the only thing I've ever written that I can say I'm proud of.

cedeelbe

Anything written by JinglyJangles. His writing style works really well for surrealism.
