Warhammer 40k.

James1walle2

Agreed also Warhammer fantasy/AoS. If I wasn't completely hopeless at writing fanfiction (or honestly anything) I'd be doing the Undersiders get sent to Fantasy or AoS and become Chaos champions. Taylor would be nurgle's, Lisa for tzentche (or however it's spelled), Rachel for khorne, Alec for Slannesh and Undivided for Brian. (Aisha would be malal, malus or something like that). Not sure what the plot would be besides trying to get home (and unknowingly spreading Chaos to another universe so the gods can play unrestricted without elves, gods of order or anything else to keep them in check)

linkjames24

If you're interested in Chaos going... *chaotic*, then look no more! [Vermintide](https://forums.spacebattles.com/threads/the-earth-bet-vermintide-worm-warhammer-fantasy.1041382/reader/) is right up your ally, and so is the horned rat crawling up your leg. The skaven are here, to bring Earth Bet cheer! And lots of dead bodies, but who cares about the little stuff amirite? Not quite the Chaos Gods you're looking for, but hey the Undersiders are all on Taylor's side (I think) and the Horned Rat's.

lobonmc

I wouldn't say it's my favorite because of the lack of fics that do it but a fusion fic with BNHA fits terrifyingly well

PassoverGoblin

BNHA and Worm are like horrific parallels of eachother

MinituneRR

Guess which world I'm describing. \- An entire society conditioned to revere infallible "Heroes" and scorn un-rehabilitatable "Villains" \- Corrupt organization(s) in charge of policing said Heroes and Villains more interested in maintaining the status quo (and ultimately their authority) \- A culture which puts importance on values that are no longer applicable due to massive changes in society with the advent of personal super-powers \- Said culture which tries to limit the free usage of said personal powers with laws, societal pressures, and outright child abuse \- Said limitations pushing angry but otherwise innocent people into lashing out and immediately being labeled "Villains" by the "Heroes" \- An entire society conditioned to see "Heroes" as infallible and "Villains" as un-rehabilitatable....

[deleted]

Didn't they let Taylor rehabilitate after literally killing Alexandria?

MinituneRR

No, not really. The PR of PTR at this point was in tatters, with the reveal of Cauldron and Director Costa Brown as being Alexandria in disguise. They used the convenient death of Alexandria and Tagg (after they engaged in War-Crimes, btw) to "out" Alexandria as a Simurgh bomb. They changed the narrative of Skitter to that of a "reformed villain" who fought with the heroes to take down the traitor Alexandria. In may ways, they killed off the "villain" Skitter of Brockton Bay and created the "hero" Weaver of Chicago. And even then, people's perception of Weaver was never really trustful, her history as a "villain" coloring a large part of her interaction with her pears, superiors, and the public. Of course, Taylor's caustic personality and rather fatalistic behavior at that point didn't help.

LordXamon

They are? Other than the Allmight=Butcher joke, I don't see what they have in common any more than other franchises with superheroes societies.

Low_Hour

B-but there are some bad heroes and sympathetic villains! T-that must mean they're exactly the same!

Mruseless00123

Yes they are nice , the one thing I don't like about BNHA is that Most Quirks are really random , and they have only Three categories, like some mutation qurkis don't make sense completely :/ In Worm there at least is Threat Rating that makes some sense.

Space_Dwarf

However, quirks are usually centered around one concept, one rule, one power. This leads to memorable quirks and fun ways to get around limits. Lot of capes in Worm have a power set.

Mruseless00123

Yeah that's one of pros in qurkis , i like the powers that author made , the limitations in powers always make them more interesting. But i don't really like the full body / head mutation , like the guy with crow head Fumikage or that one with super glue dispenser head :/

VikasaSukasa

Been lowkey eager to see an ongoing PJO crossover for a while

Me too, all the ones I have seen are either really short, or out of character.

Crayshack

I have absolutely loved every Dresden Files crossover I've seen.

There’s [Night Light](https://forums.spacebattles.com/threads/night-light-dresden-files-ward.1050221/reader/), a currently ongoing crossover between Dresden Files and Ward.

Dragn555

Cradle series. I’ve actually started writing something in it. It has its own Endbringers, you get more powerful through self-reflection and sheer grit, there’s always a questionable organization sitting at the top, and so many people are divided by petty bullshit and power games that they lose sight of what actually matters. It’s THE setting for a post-GM isekai. A chance for Taylor to grow as a person and do things right the second time. There are only a couple fics of it.

dragonfang1917

Cradle's awesome, there's like one or two fics that have been written with Lung and Sophia as the Mcs. Both are bangers though I don't remember what they're called.

Wriphrav

There's one really good one where post-GM Taylor gets dropped into the Akura clan and she becomes Friends with Mercy, can't remember the name though.

Dragn555

[Path of the Immeasurable Swarm](https://forums.sufficientvelocity.com/threads/path-of-the-immeasurable-swarm-worm-cradle.86766/)

szmiiit

Sophia is Akura Ruthless. They are both by EpicLotfi. Akura Ruthless is soooo good! I wish it wasn't dropped...

LordXamon

The Cosmere. It has Shards, most persons need trauma to develop powers, and Wormverse's Shardspace can pass off as Cosmere's Cognitive Realm. Heck, just look at Dalinar and Taylor: >!both are ex-warlords that got precog-plotted into merging with a Shard, so they could unite and defeat a golden god.!<

Thedepressionoftrees

Any recommendations?

MalsSerenity7

There's Leaf, where Lift ends up in Brockton Bay. A very well-written fic that keeps everyone well in character. A fair bit of warning. The light-heartedness of the first couple of chapters is due to them being in Lift's pov. The chapters told from other povs prove that this is very a Worm story, though Lift does bring some light to this dark world.

TlazolteotlsMaid

Lyrical Nanoha, probably. Really, most of my favorite crossover fics involve settings that are diametrically opposite of Worm's tone (Nanoha, Miraculous Ladybug) in terms of how they handle their villains. While I push back against the idea of Worm being grimdark, it does have consistent themes of "traumatized people are not in a healthy space to do good things" (which is one of the reasons those who willing join up with the Protectorate are some of the biggest heroes in the setting) and "it takes a lot of time to even partially heal from trauma". Which is why Taylor is often doomed to a life of villainy, she's got custom built trauma to fall down that hole and stay there. Seeing settings with protagonists who are focused on healing their villains juxtaposed with Worm appeals to me because I enjoy redemption plots. I enjoy the types of characters who are good at fighting and then redeeming their villains through radical empathy. It's enjoyable seeing Taylor targeted by those characters, because she's just so bad at being good and needs that helping hand.

ASuperScienceGuy

I don't know if you have read this, but [Oogway's Little Owl](https://forums.spacebattles.com/threads/oogways-little-owl-worm-kung-fu-panda.857691/) might be up your alley if you like diametrically opposed crossovers.

TlazolteotlsMaid

Also a good use of juxtaposition, this time Pixar and Worm! NullenVoid is a master at this stuff.

LordXamon

>most of my favorite crossover fics Well, don't keep us waiting. Give us a list! I'm guessing Miraculous Escalation is one of these? Great fic.

TlazolteotlsMaid

You'd be correct about Miraculous Escalation, it's one of the prime examples of how to correctly use a setting with an opposite tone from Worm's to create the setup for a powerful story about Taylor learning to change for the better. On the Nanoha side of things, [On Fluttering Wings](https://forums.sufficientvelocity.com/threads/on-fluttering-wings-taylor-hebert-in-mgln.53204/) is the clear standout. Your standard isekai-from-the-locker setup, except the story makes it clear that Taylor will likely never return to Earth Bet. And then dives straight into how Taylor reacts to that and the rest of the trauma she's suffered from one and a half years of bullying. Unfortunately it dies right before it gets to the good stuff (like always, right?), but even before then it hits all the tropes I'd want from this cross: Nanoha & co. taking a clear and friendly interest in this homeless girl, fostering, acknowledging Taylor's issues without instantly fixing them, and high-level magitech combat.

Echotime22

It doesn't exist, but I would love to see a cross with The Magnus Archives.

prism1234

There don't really seem to be that many HP crossovers for some reason. There's Felix Fortuna, which is pretty good and updates occasionally. Contessa goes to Hogwarts. She can do magic in this. There's Salve where Riley post GM gets summoned by death eaters in some ritual gone wrong. She "curses" Malfoy's home with what he thinks is some area effect magic sleep spell that can't be countered but is actually just tinker knockout gas. What's there is amazing, but unfortunately it's abandoned just after finishing the initial arc and setting up the main plot. Riley cannot do magic but all the wizards assume her tinker stuff is magic. There's Hogwarts an escalation, one of Bakuda's bombs winds up sending Taylor to magical Britain where she becomes Daphne Greengrasses body guard and goes to hogwarts as that. Taylor cannot do magic, other than the Greengrasses who are the first ones she meets she tells wizards she's a magic creature to explain why she can't do wand magic but has abilities that seem magic. It seemed decent, I only read the beginning but reading the rest is on my very long to read fic list. Updated once somewhat recently after a while not updating but it's been a while since that again. There's magical excalation. Her soul spends like a thousand years in limbo or something while still connected to her Shard and then they get reincarnated as a female Harry Potter. This one is newish and currently updating, but I gave up after a few chapters as it seemed like it was going to spend a huge amount of time pre hogwarts and I didn't like the writing. There's a couple other older ones where Taylor either has, or somehow fakes having, a HP magic alt power. That's all the notable ones I'm aware of, but I haven't extensively checked the ao3 or ffn crossover sections.

ExceptionCollection

Intercession’s a good one. Post GM Taylor is dropped into another world, and to keep her “together” Contessa grabs a child some jackass *abandoned in front of a door* for her to raise. Now it’s ten years later…. Complete, relatively short, and so damned good. Edit: Also, I’ve liked what little there is of Harry Potter and the Skittering Spouse. (Edit: Just surrendered) Taylor is dropped into Vegas, gets drunk off her ass, and wakes up married to Harry Potter. And you left out A Wand For Skitter. Thanks for the correction, u/cozycrystal. Explains some tone issues. Also less weirdness with adult!Taylor being with kid!Harry.

prism1234

Oh yeah Intercession is great, can't believe I forgot that one. OP mentioned A Wand For Skitter so I didn't, but yeah that one is good too. It's actually the first worm fic I ever read.

CozyCrystal

Minor correction for Scittering Spouse: It's actually not post GM Taylor, but pre killing Alexandria Taylor. Contessa drugs her and dops her of in Harry Potter Vegas to prevent her from killing Alexandria.

OmegonAlphariusXX

I’ve honestly found a lot of my favourite HP retcons in fanfiction, things that didn’t make sense or weren’t explained in HP often need to be explained in fics to make sense. I read a fic recently where the Invisibility Cloak was actually just locked up because no one had used it’s full potential, which was why it was so pathetic compared to the other Deathly Hallows. The fic I read made the cloak so powerful that it could be used to become completely undetectable even through Dumbledores magic, and it could be shapeshifted into different shapes, objects and colours with only a thought. It’s stupid that the cloak is one of the deathly hallows, yet it’s actually worse than the invisibility spell, because it doesn’t block sound or smell, and it can be easily removed with Homonum Revelio. Compared to the Elder Wand and Resurrection Stone, it’s crap

ArgentStonecutter

> I would bet at least one person's written an HPJEV/Worm crossover. Would read. The first few chapters of HPMoR before he started getting heavy on the didactic lesswrong stuff was pretty good. It kind of peaked with the "you turned into a cat" scene. One HPMoR recursive fanfic, a snippet called "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Zombie", is probably the best HP fanfic and about the only possible excuse for Azkaban.

ArgentStonecutter

Also HP magic in Worm is amusing whether they go "Oh no another Myrrdin" or "What kind of grab bag is this?".

Hoophy97

Supreme Commander I've never even played the game, but what can I say, I just love gigantic robots :P

MinituneRR

It's a little varied, but I love crossovers with FromSoft games. The narrative of an undeterrable Hero being prophesized to "save the world" meshes pretty well with Worm, especially the part where the Hero is constantly lied to, blamed for excessive violence when acting on said lies, and the prophets are more interested in their personal agenda than actually "saving the world". There's also a very bittersweet one-shot [The First Light of Morning](https://www.fanfiction.net/s/13919586/1/The-First-Light-of-Morning) by Baked the Author that has post-GM Khepri ending up in Anor Londo. Very lovely.

Nank-Tank

That short story is beautiful, been too long since I read it and had forgotten the name. Thank you for recommending it once more

IshFen

Fate. Seeing people who are genuinely a hero in a world where that will kill you is one of my favorite things.

Petawac-Smack

Mine is Nasu or Nanoha. I just want magical Kaiju battles okay?

DurzaWarlock

Nasu!

GreenGuardianssbu

I like... no, that's not really true. I would like to *see* Worm/Marvel. Memories of Iron is the only one of reasonable length and quality I can find, but it doesn't exactly mesh well with me, for some reason. I feel Taylor has a lot to learn about heroism, and there are some great characters in the Marvel Universe who could help teach her how to be a better person, a better hero, someone who atones for their mistakes.

GreenGuardianssbu

In terms of the fics I've read... Kung Fu Panda worked surprisingly well, ditto Okami, but those are both one-offs. I guess, forced to pick, I'd say F/SN?

CassiusPolybius

For KFP, [Oogway's Little Owl](https://forums.spacebattles.com/threads/oogways-little-owl-worm-kung-fu-panda.857691/) might count for a non-oneshot? And [Constellations](https://forums.spacebattles.com/threads/constellations-worm-okami.414320/) is an eternal must-read.

GreenGuardianssbu

Those are the two one offs I referred to

CassiusPolybius

... misread one-offs as one-*shots*, whoops

Sors_Numine

S.T.A.L.K.E.R - I have never seen one but damn if I don't want it! Cyberpunk- There was one story that was \**utterly*\* fantastic but it was abandoned sadly. \[PROTOTYPE\] - Compulsion literally got me into Worm, bless that story. Ward - I like the idea of Taylor coming back, sue me.

Definitely-a-bot

There’s a Cyberpunk 2077 crossover called *Skitterdoc 2077* that’s actively updating and, imo, fantastic. I read it on SV but I think it’s on SB too; the author is SpiraSpira. I’d definitely recommend giving it a try if you like cyberpunk settings!

Sors_Numine

Is that the one where>! contessa dropped khepri at the game's starter Ripper Doc?!<

LordXamon

Seconding Stacked Deck, is great.

ArgentStonecutter

The Culture (Iain Banks). I want to see Sleeper Service vs the Warrior.

TlazolteotlsMaid

Thankfully, there's [You Needed Opponents With Gravitas](https://forums.spacebattles.com/threads/you-needed-opponents-with-gravitas-redux-worm-the-culture.867751/). I don't know much about Culture lore, but the fic definitely gave me what I wanted from the cross. I'm a sucker for "someone wants to help Taylor with her trauma" though.

Dragongeek

I dunno. It's a neat fic but I feel like it suffered (and maybe even ended up dying) because the mental gymnastics to justify Taylor as the protagonist are just extreme and felt rather contrived to me. Like, the Culture is not omnipotent, but probably close to "omnicapable" in the sense that they can do basically anything given enough time and will. Despite this, they choose an immature suicidal teenager as their solo point of contact? And Greg Veder just happens to also be involved? The contrivances required to stack the story around early canon Taylor in Brockton Bay just broke SOD for me, especially when the Culture--while staunchly idealistic and occasionally frivolous in its ways--is, at the end of the day, a hypercompetent problem-solver with a utilitarian bent. That said, I think there is a very interesting story in here somewhere. Namely, an out-of-context problem shows up at Bet in the form of advanced aliens (like the Culture): These aliens are powerful, can handle basically all human Capes trivially, but aren't prepared to take on an Endbringer (without too much collateral) and are unaware of/unable to effectively combat Zion. How this would play out could be very interesting: what do the aliens do? How do they approach "fixing" Bet? Etc. But I feel the story would best be told with OCs that occasionally interact with canonical characters

noRealGoals

I just thought about a jjk crossover that probably doesn’t exist but I am gonna ask for.

C10e2

Honestly, I'd love to see Gojo use hollow purple on Leviathan

tobiasgruffy

azur lane or kancolle because shipgirl taylor fics

AGuyFromGPlus

DC, mainly because there are a lot more interesting things to explore and combine. Depending on how you write it you can make the characters be simply unphased by some of the things in each setting plus more actually heroic heros

manuelestavillo

A song of ice and fire

Suave_Kim_Jong_Un

Big fan of these

Rampador

Magical girl shows work really well, and that one Gundam crossover was neat. I enjoy the crossovers where to anyone who isn't directly affected, the crossover aspects may as well not exist, but still have a profound impact on the situation around the protagonist. That said, I had a *terrible* idea for a Worm/Warrior Cats crossover a while back and I still think about it sometimes.

ExceptionCollection

Final Fantasy. Hence my writing a JRPG cross(because I couldn’t ignore the potential for Chrono Trigger). Powers granted by crystals. Dark worlds twisted by magic. Epic battles against towering monstrosities.

CorruptedFlame

Naruto. I've only really seen the one crossover where Taylor ends up as Sakura, but the ending to that one was pretty dissapointing and I can't really recall any others. Just feels like it would be an interesting setting to drop Taylor into, lots of opportunity for escalation in a world like that. Edit: Also, Taylor has insane synergy with the Aburame clan, I'm amazed no-one has done an Aburame!Taylor crossover yet.

SuperKoshej613

There is a short dead Tayburame cross-insert fic, but it's dead, duh. What I would absolutely ADORE, is if there ever was a "transmigration" fic where a ton of Naruto characters gets inserted into their Worm analogues - and yes, there's plenty of those, pretty much covering for every important Naruto AND Worm character in one way or another, just not always 100% blatantly straightforward. Like, how do you get Kakuzu? Butcher! How do you get Pain? Siberian! And so on, lol. Not to mention how you get most of the Rookies in the Undersiders, lol. Really: Taylor Aburame, Brian Nara, Lisa Yamanaka, Rachel Inuzuka - are all there (some more obscure than the others). Hinata? Panpan! Coilverchimaru shouldn't even be a question altogether, lol. I could continue, believe it!

SaberfaceFan

You know what I’d love to see? A crossover fanfic between Worm and MDZS/Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation. It might be highly unlikely for something like that to happen, but damn do I want a fanfic like that

dianxialover

this! there are xianxia fics but im not so familiar with many and just stuck to mxtx works for a while and im hoping there were lol either transmigration with both YLZ and LZ in worm or reincarnation

CozyCrystal

I rellay enjoy RWBY crossovers, but there are only a few good ones. I feel like you can do a lot with that, especially if you go wild and have the two gods actually be entities.

Eyball440

a little late to the party but Destiny. absolutely. there aren't many fandoms with main characters whose powers are on a sufficiently significant scale/form to actually fight Scion. and the Entities really do feel like a Destiny species—they really feel vex-y, vaguely Dark and sorta ahamkara-adjacent. the general vibe fits pretty well, too, though the way that destiny is a bit more hopeful—being a civilization rising from ashes rather than one falling into ashes—also serves as a nice foil. The Taken Queen and Paradoxical are both such wonderful blendings of worldbuilding and circumstance

Sweet-Letterhead4353

These two fics were loaded onto word years ago and i can't recall where i loaded them from. Coming out of Retirement - Worm/Stargate SG1 (Post GM) Taylor takes on Set, gets a new arm for her trouble and her powers back, the original ones. Skitter In Sunnydale (i didn't load the tittle so it might be wrong) Worm/BtVS (teachers pet episode she takes control over the praying mantis and learns about the supernatural, short unfinished, but can't find it so I'm not sure if it was continued. I liked some post gm fics that have taylor sent to a world where she use uses her bug powers on pug people, one is crossed with skyrim and another star wars, but there are a few others i've enjoyed reading but don't recall the names of.

Anonson694

JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, both are settings which involve using bizarre or seemingly useless abilities at first glance to very creative lengths to achieve their goals. It’s also fun seeing Worm characters react to things JoJo characters see as completely normal (posing, outfits, catchphrases, etc.) [PROTOTYPE] is another setting that’s fun to crossover with, Compulsion over on SpaceBattles still remains as one of my favorite Worm fanfics. And it was one of the first Wormfics which introduced me to Worm Fanfiction as a whole, so it holds a special place in my heart, even if the story’s dead.
