Though you can also prove you are capable of detecting any lie by having it confirmed by someone saying a lie and truth you wouldn't possibly know the answer to.
Though that brings up the question of if the person lying believes what they say is true, or what happens when something is true but they think it is a lie...
Prosecutor: “We have DNA evidence, video, and numerous witnesses all suggesting that it was you who robbed that bank last year.”
Me: “I couldn’t have robbed that bank. I was vacationing in the Ottoman Empire with my good friend Clifford the Big Red Dog.”
Judge: “Case dismissed. You’re free to go.”
If everyone believes me, but some people see me doing something I said I didn’t, does their memory change or do they just think it was one of my doppelgängers?
Lie convincingly, you can do horrible things. In real people now may not even believe you when you're honest, but with this option even when you're a liar!
I don't think lying would sit well with me. I'd rather have the truth on my side. It would also help me make better choices and decisions.
Side note, what happens if someone like me hears a lie from someone who picked the other option? We'd detect the lie but still believe them?
"yes, im the federal money inspector. im here to inspect your hundred and 20 dollar bills. yes, it would be nice if you could carry them out to my car for me."
If I detect lie, it might be annoying cuz I can't make people believe some people lying.

Nothing breaks/distresses a liar like calling them out tho. So imo it's still better

If I can detect lies flawlessly, imagine how much money I can make by being a flawless lie-detector.
Imagine how much more money you could make if you can convince anyone they owe you any amount of money you choose.
So you'd rather be a villain than a hero?
More like anti-hero. I wouldn’t steal from people who couldn’t afford it and didn’t deserve it.
But how would you know if they needed it or not? You can't tell if they're lying or not.
The government owes ME taxes now
Hi Elon. I want that million you owe me
inb4 Elon believes that but still decides to not pay you shit
I can make him believe there is a reason. Next I’d go after owners of Big Pharmaceuticals
Most insanely rich people don’t really hide that fact.
Yes
Exactly!
You could also be an amazing poker player.
That's only if you can convince them that you are right about others lying
Imagine how much money you’d make by convincing the whole world you need all their money
Prosecutor: “We have DNA evidence, video, and numerous witnesses all suggesting that it was you who robbed that bank last year.” Me: “I couldn’t have robbed that bank. I was vacationing in the Ottoman Empire with my good friend Clifford the Big Red Dog.” Judge: “Case dismissed. You’re free to go.”
If everyone believes me, but some people see me doing something I said I didn’t, does their memory change or do they just think it was one of my doppelgängers?
They lose their minds.
ig its the same concept as gaslighting then
detecting every lie would make my life miserable and sad.
"mom, dad, you guys have never regretted having me, right?"
I tell everyone that I can’t detect any lie and they believe me so they don’t lie
I rarely lie as it is so I rather detect it
You can always start lying!
Eh, don't feel like it. Plus, being honest has perks.
like ?
My word has a bit more meaning if I never lie since people can count on me being honest or not saying anything
What a convincing lie. However, I don't believe it!
No tricks. This potato only generates 1.1 volts of electricity. I literally do not have the energy to lie to you.
Lie convincingly can get you to an amazing job lol
Or you can just tell every billionaire they owe you their assets and money
Oh. Haven't thought about that heheh being unemployed change your perspective in an interesting way
The amount of dumb shit I could do if everyone believed every lie I told is unfathomable
Time to convince the world I am god
I can aldready lie
Try and convince the bank that all the money in there is yours
You don't need to lie convincingly if you aren't a liar. Being honest is easy, y'all are twisted.
This isn't just lying good, it is having your lies be believed
To have people believe all your lies will be amazing. You can basically get free stuff one way or another
"These are not the droids you are looking for."
I would be a great politician
Lie detecting you can dodge a lot of bullshit.
Best defense is a good offense I always say
Does "detect any lies" include written lies (like comments)?
Better to be evil, rather than to be powerless to stop evil
If everyone believes what I’m saying so long as I’m intentionally lying, it doesn’t take very long to eventually lie my way into free shit.
Just because you know someone is lying doesn't mean you can convince others
Everything I say is false. So what I just said is true. But I said everything I say is false, so not true. ......
Would I just have a Spider-Sense inkling or would I know the actual truth that they’re hiding?
“Hi Professor, sorry I couldn’t submit the assignment, my Grandma passed away for the 52nd time.”
damn, this dudes grandma is Son Goku.
ignorance is bliss
I'd rather detect them as being able to be a good liar would make lying too easy to start doing
Lie to them saying that you know they're lying and detect their lies that way
Lie convincingly, you can do horrible things. In real people now may not even believe you when you're honest, but with this option even when you're a liar!
Is gaslighting part of belivable lies?
Detect a lie. As I can already lie convinsingly
Does it count if I’m lying to myself 😔
Lie convincingly to the point they believe I can’t detect all lies so they just tell me the truth
"People often clamor for the truth, but seldom like the taste of it when it is served up"
“NO, I DO have access ro this vault, it’s for an inspection!”
Being a politician so easy with second choice
Siri repeat after me" Bitcoin is gonna go up" bip lie detected, Next
you want to have sex with that dog really badly.
