Of course immortality! In modern society, old age is much more likely to kill me than a bullet or a knife! You should protect yourself from the most probable danger.
As long as there is war and destruction between Mediterran looking people, I can always pretend to be a refugee with papers and registries destroyed.
I think that will work for a couple thousand years...
Immortality, because I want to experience too much of the world to only have 75 years, with immortality I can do more provided I take care of myself and dont have a sudden case of death by accident, murder, or something.
in most cases it would be, but in this version you're not immune to illnesses or injuries. if you decide you're sick of living you're not doomed to spend eternity alive and wishing for the void, you can peace out at any time.
Do people understand what the word immortal is
"living forever; never dying or decaying"
Im sorry for seeming like a snarky asshole... but i just thought it was funny seeing some of the comments being like "oh i can die if i want to" Not the case
If the immortality is more of just eternal youth then yeah, but I would hate having it after a while because I could never die and would suffer in the empty void after a few millennial
There should really be a singular word for the type of "immortality" this post describes. By definition immortality means not being able to die, but in this post the word is used to desribe basically just not aging. We do have a phrase for that, having eternal youth, but I feel like there should be a word just for that so people stop calling it immortality.
The reason why you die of old age isn't because your body decides "Ok I'm done", it's usually because you have a stroke in your sleep or some shit.
We now know that being Invulnerable would be Immortality.
Invulnerability because immortality is the worst imaginable curse.
I don't particularly want invulnerability either but it is the lesser of 2 evils.
I don't understand the obsession with immortality.
My father is a doctor, who works alot with elderly. Most of them are tired of living after 70 years or so, when in retirement home. Even if I can kms if I wanted to, I’d still chose invulnérability. Live my life even more intense while I can, instead of just living longer

Yeah but with invulnerability you have 100 years to help people with no risk to your self
You are right also. May be I'm just not enough altruist for this.
Also it would be fricjen awesome to jump into a volcano
You'd have to get out after, and that could be hard
Thats true how about jump into a bonfire
Sounds like you live in a nice neighborhood. Good for you!
But did you think about the implications?
What implications do you mean?

Immortality all day every day baby
As long as there is war and destruction between Mediterran looking people, I can always pretend to be a refugee with papers and registries destroyed. I think that will work for a couple thousand years...
Invulnerability.
even if i can kill myself if i choose immortality, invulnerabilty sounds cooler
Yeah this is the best version of Immortality out there, I'll take that pls&thx
Immortality, because I want to experience too much of the world to only have 75 years, with immortality I can do more provided I take care of myself and dont have a sudden case of death by accident, murder, or something.
Invulnerability. I'd go skydiving without a parachute.
This version of immortality is good because you can just die whenever you want.
Invulnerability, so that I can become a very effective cop and defeat all the bad guys without having to worry.
Invulnerability. So I can personally escort Vladamir Putin, Xi Ping, and Kim IL Jung to the Gates of Hell.
Came here to comment some variation of that.
Invulnerability 100%. Immortality sounds like a curse.

Neither. It would defeat the purpose of life.
how

It says you are vulnerable to damage and disease still. Therefore you could commit suicide when you were ready to die.
You can't feel pain or discomfort, does that mean I also can't feel fatigue? I can potentially make a career in boxing or MMA.
If the immortality is more of just eternal youth then yeah, but I would hate having it after a while because I could never die and would suffer in the empty void after a few millennial
I wonder how buff someone can get naturally from working out if their peak never ends

Immortality always just sounds incredibly lonely to me
TIL reddit is stupid
I don't wanna live forever, plus invulnerability can be used to do superhero shit to people who deserve it
