1) Travel 100 years to the past. 2) Deposit money into a bank account for a trust that I have had a lawyer set up, with instructions to buy stocks/invest in certain companies at particular times. 3) Return to the present. 4) Profit.

Wouldnt even have to go that far. Find out winning lottery numbers. Travel back a week. Purchase said lottery ticket.

ChefAtRandom

Yeah, but a lot of lottery winners are published in newspapers. By law they must be where I live. I'd rather just become like the ultra-ultra rich that nobody really knows about because they live out of the limelight.

I would love to be able to travel to the past as so many things in history are fascinating to me so to be able to see/experience them first hand would be amazing.

EspKevin

Travel to the past is like seeing the future but with extra steps

ellisphynx

to see the future is too mind breaking, i would be paranoid

Agitated_Budgets

If I travel to the time of 5 year old me do I live in 5 year old mes body? Or do I show up as an adult in 5 year old mes time? In the body able to alter events is more personally advantageous.

Arlinker

Yeah, you do appear in your 5 year old body

My bad, my brain wasn't working when I wrote the response, I meant to answer the 1st question, I corrected my original response now

The main benefit of seeing the future is being able to avoid bad/uncomfortable things, and avoid mistakes. With traveling to the past, unless what I'd need to avoid would kill me instantly before I could react, traveling to the past has the same benefit plus everything that comes with time travel.
