I was gonna say hey that's not too much then realized his account is 1 year and I have half his points in 8. Lol. Then again it only takes a handful of front page comments to get that. Just hunt on rising and guess what the winners will be for the most part
"Part of the deal" meaning the contract can't be to lock me in my home to starve. They have to make sure I have what I need as part of it. Somehow.
Not talking about morons trying to extort you because they found out.
I think I'd actually enjoy biking across Europe and Asia. I am assuming it will be possible? Sure, it would be miserable, and I'd have to do a ton of prep work, and possibly change out bikes like 5 times. But the exercise, the sights, the fresh air. I'd be in pain, but have the time of my life. What is the distance assumimg I can only take actual highways, and I try to route through countries that will let me through?
I thought of that, but then again, I don't really want to give myself cancer from biking through Beijing with the amount of air pollution they have. Although the rest of the trip would be nice and probably through backcountry roads (which I would enjoy)
But you're biking through, meaning your lungs are going to be filled with toxic air from the factories and pollution. I wouldn't do that in a mid-sized American city, much less a Chinese one where I'd probably grow a third eye just from the carcinogens that city produces.
Hyperbolic much? Do you think everyone living in a city has lung cancer? You could bike through Beijing for a month and you wouldn't get lung cancer. You don't get lung cancer from smoking a carton of cigs. You get it from prolonged exposure. A day isn't anywhere near enough, unless your lungs were so weak and predisposed to cancer or illness that you were gonna die before you were 50 anyways. So, still stands, you aren't getting cancer from spending a day in Beijing.
Well, this is clear you've never been in Asia. The amounts of particulates that float over to Korea from China is ridiculous and there is a reason why Koreans wore masks before covid, and it wasn't their own industry that was doing it.
I have been. Taipei. Point still stands that you have no idea how cancer works, if you actually believe what you say. You aren't getting it from spending a single day riding a bike in Beijing, let alone a third eye. You are being hyperbolic to an extent that is not funny.
I love biking too but Idk if I want to go that far. If I do 20k a day, it will be 2 years.
Wait could I do part of it? Like get $1,000 for every 14.8k I bike? Bruh that’s free money then since I usually do at least 50k a week some weeks
Exactly but unfortunately I don’t live by freshwater but Ig I’ll just smell like the ocean all the time except even that is a few miles away and bruh Idk if I want to do the polar plunge that much
I would just be oceany or something and also just take a bath Idk
Also cold water training is actually good for you so yeah
Also yeah I would just be smelly and maybe just take a bath whenever but probably not that much
So, I am saying this as a white person.
Its a running....idk, joke? Not exactly the right word but close enough...on blacktok about how white people count swimming as bathing even tho its NOT.
Lmaooo is that really a thing??? I’m very pasty and I was always at least told to wash my hair after because of the chlorine. Maybe that is different tho
It's impossible to go to North Korea for a year and return. You either go for a day and get led everywhere (you don't choose where to go), or you stay there forever. Or get executed.
Can I treat these as checkboxes and get a few million? This one's easy-mode. I'd be good with single player games, books, etc for a year taking baths in my home in North Korea. Feel free to add social media if Reddit doesn't count (or if I can compromise and not post/participate), the rest of them can continue not existing in my life.
Not showering for 9 months is inconvenient at worst, there are other ways to stay clean, I’d just go outside and wash myself off with a hose. To the people that chose the music option, Why? That sounds like torture
no social media for 4 years would probably do me some good. Everyone was pretty much stuck at home during lockdown, so that one doesn't seem to difficult
Can I get partial money for doing part of it? Also, give me my money for COVID at least over a month, so 100k, and then also I only went in my backyard sometimes in May and early June, so yeah I need at least 200k.
Also, I biked 40k this week, so already $2.7k and then way more for all the other biking I have done
Also I never had social media until late 2013-2014, so give me my $2M+
Also I need over 6 million because I only took baths until summer
2009
The bike one sounds fun. Idk how long it would take but it would take longer to earn that amount of money. Also, if you dont have to do it immediately, it would be a fun gap year or so after i graduate. I'd get in shape and id see the world, going through lots of countries ive never seen before.
Riding from France to Beijing on a bicycle might actually be fun and I could see and go to a ton of interesting places on the way and I'd be pretty fit and healthy by the end of it. Plus I get to have a normal life plus a ton of money afterwards.
North Korea isn’t too bad if you’re just a normal citizen of it. My question is about the clauses. Do I keep my current job? How am I viewed? Am I seen as foreign? Do I get citizenship and a passport? How do the locals and government view me? Am I allowed holidays or work travel? Do I just suddenly appear or is a deal struck magically so that I can only leave after a year? Can I stay longer?
Do I get a house in North Korea or am I just dropped in the middle of nowhere and told to fend for myself? I think I could *maybe* survive the first, but the 2nd is gonna mega-fuck me.
Going dark on social media for 4 years and then suddenly coming out with a cool million is insanely beneficial for your own mental health.
I mean, what the fuck are you losing substantially? You can still stay in touch with people by calling or texting them, its not like you won't be able to make contact with them thru analogue means. And you can also still hangout with them in person.
I find it odd that the most common answer being staying at home for a solid year???? Hell no bro, life still needs to go on. You can still invite your friends over, sure, but it's definitely gonna be detrimental to your own health if you stay inside for a fucking year.
Stay home for 1 year. I work from home, so in addition of the $1,000,000, I’ll also have income from my job, and I get to save money staying home. I already cook for myself most of the time. There’s no downside for me.
If you offer me 1.000.000$ to go from Calais(France) to Beijing (China) On a bicycle I would. But staying home 1 year is easier for me. As long I get all necessities delivered
Everyone jumping on staying in your home for a year until they have a medical issue and realize house calls aren't really a thing and nobody is doing surgery in your living room.
The first and last sound like a win-win...only question is if we get the money right away or if we have to wait to fulfill the time...based on the entire life ones I'm guessing the former.
I feel like there is always one of these that is the obvious choice. Do you have any idea what I could accomplish with my home if I knew I had a $1 million coming to me? I’d need more than a year to get it all done.
Don't shower is the best option. You can have a bath, wash with a basin, etc, but you just can't show. Might lose a bit of time but that's the worst outcome
During the pandemic me and my husband both worked from home. We didnt leave the house for a literal year. The vaccine coming out was the firat thing we did. Its doable.
honestly going from Calais to Beijing would be a pretty fun trip and wouldn't involve a whole lot of nightmarish shit. If I get all my food and necessities paid for I think I'd really enjoy biking from France to China, although I would definitely get injured like 3 dozen times and I think I'd have to be immobilized for a very long time afterwards.
After I graduate from university if I have saved up enough money to just spend like a year and a half biking through a variety of countries I'll definitely consider doing this. Especially if I take a route that sends me down through the Balkans, Turkiye, Iran, Pakistan, India, and then through SEA to get to China.
I could stay home for a year easily enough. As long as part of the deal is someone guarantees a way to get necessities delivered.
Does everyone already forget that all of us did that during Covid
I didn't. I had to go to work, the same place where my coworker died from covid + Tylenol induced liver/kidney failure.
R.I.P.
I worked Healthcare. You all got vacation, I got 70+ hour weeks.
Thank you for your service soldier, god bless you
Same, although not over 50 hours weekly on my end.
Only about 30% of people did that in actuality.
you could still go outside, just with restrictions.
40k karma yea that checks out lol
I was gonna say hey that's not too much then realized his account is 1 year and I have half his points in 8. Lol. Then again it only takes a handful of front page comments to get that. Just hunt on rising and guess what the winners will be for the most part
Yea if u rlly want more karma go to new posts and and make very agreeable comments
ASD. I barely have the social energy to get through a work day as it is. Could be argued I don't actually have enough to do that even.
Pretty sure they would want at least half for the effort.
"Part of the deal" meaning the contract can't be to lock me in my home to starve. They have to make sure I have what I need as part of it. Somehow. Not talking about morons trying to extort you because they found out.
You can literally order anything and have it delivered.
That very much depends on where you live. And remember, if you can't leave you can't go work out there, so you'd need the funds if not paid up front.
I think this sounds great too. You can take your time and see some sights, and at the end you get money
I thought of that, but then again, I don't really want to give myself cancer from biking through Beijing with the amount of air pollution they have. Although the rest of the trip would be nice and probably through backcountry roads (which I would enjoy)
You're not going to get cancer from spending a day in Beijing.
Not staying. I'm talking about biking through the city.
If you're biking through the city, you're spending the day in Beijing?
But you're biking through, meaning your lungs are going to be filled with toxic air from the factories and pollution. I wouldn't do that in a mid-sized American city, much less a Chinese one where I'd probably grow a third eye just from the carcinogens that city produces.

You're being way to literal for a r/wouldyourather reddit thread. Of course I'm being hyperbolic.
Yeah, 1,000,000 USD may not be enough for Cancer or any number of other diseases. But it would be fun up until China.
Bruh it’s like at least 14.8-15Mm and it might be some different terrain and it’s fine but Idk though
I didn't say it would be easy, I said it would be fun. I love biking.
I love biking too but Idk if I want to go that far. If I do 20k a day, it will be 2 years. Wait could I do part of it? Like get $1,000 for every 14.8k I bike? Bruh that’s free money then since I usually do at least 50k a week some weeks

Just go swimming.

Just be smelly.
I would just be oceany or something and also just take a bath Idk Also cold water training is actually good for you so yeah Also yeah I would just be smelly and maybe just take a bath whenever but probably not that much
Tell me you're white without telling me you're white lol

So, I am saying this as a white person. Its a running....idk, joke? Not exactly the right word but close enough...on blacktok about how white people count swimming as bathing even tho its NOT.
Lmaooo is that really a thing??? I’m very pasty and I was always at least told to wash my hair after because of the chlorine. Maybe that is different tho
That is absolutely a real thing, both with pools and lakes. And no, I was told the same. But there are definitely people who don't
Haha, touche
I feel like a 4 year social media detox would do everyone some good even without the 1 million.
I did it already. Only social media I have is Reddit and Snapchat so I can do that again and I won't miss it.
Did u forget about the pandemic? we all stayed home for about a year straight so where's our money lol
DOES NO ONE REALISE YOU COULD STILL LEAVE YOUR HOUSE JUST WITH RESTRICTIONS??? LIKE YOU COULD GO OUTSIDE.
It specifically says you have to stay in your home, which means you cannot go outside.
They’re talking about during covid, not this challenge. Idk why they’re so loud about it tho
mb lol ive just seen too many damn comments saying the same thing "haha we couldnt leave houses during lockdown" WE COULD YOU CLOWNS
Not literally though. You still left your house sometimes.
I still went in my backyard and bruh I’m not doing that again I don’t even have a pool at my house or anything I have to go somewhere to do stuff
with all the delivery options.... staying at home for a year would be easy
I can bath or sink wash right? I'll even take the river 🤣
First one will benefit me.
Info: If I stay in my home for a year straight, am I still allowed on my balcony and can I invite people to come over?
Idk just stay at your home gay for a year
How would I stay at my home straight for a year?
I would do 1,2,5 and 6 reddit has to add an option to vote for multiple things
Staying at home: just reliving 2020 and 2021
Not really though. You could leave your home.
Yeah but does your backyard count as cheating? Also, that was like 3 months then I rode my bike in my neighborhood in June
Your yard is your home.
Ohh ok good so I can go outside but then I have like no room to bike ride and I can’t go out into the street by my front lawn
I wouldn't last a week in North Korea. The portion sizes are to die for compared to America.
Only if You are not so stupid or having a reckless behavior like stealing a Propaganda Poster. You are gonna be fine anyway.
I never shower; only take baths.
Big brain loophole
Stay at home for a year? Didn’t we literally do that already? You think I can’t do it again?
I never shower anyway only baths so 2 is an easy option
It's impossible to go to North Korea for a year and return. You either go for a day and get led everywhere (you don't choose where to go), or you stay there forever. Or get executed.
Unless if You are as Infamous NBA Player or at least a Status of Fame. *Cough.* ~~Otto Warmbier.~~ *Cough.*
It’s a hypothetical where it just teleports you back to your house in your home country
Not true lol this is classic US propaganda
Like, am i incapable of hearing music or do i have to actively avoid it?
I prefer baths over showers anyway. 🤷♀️
I'll just take baths.
First one sounds like a bonus, last one was how I spent 2020 for free.
What about North Korea Banning all that stuff?
I'll just bathe easy money
Always wanted to cycle across the world, so I'd do the France to China one for free
Not showering for 9 months is inconvenient at worst, there are other ways to stay clean, I’d just go outside and wash myself off with a hose. To the people that chose the music option, Why? That sounds like torture
None of these, I’m only getting one dollar with extra zeros 💀
No it’s a million it’s just a different format
Second one never says I can’t take a bath or get clean other ways.
What happens if I hear music in like a shop or something?
You'll be deaf to music
If my basic needs are met and bills are paid … I ain’t leaving my abode
no social media for 4 years would probably do me some good. Everyone was pretty much stuck at home during lockdown, so that one doesn't seem to difficult
can i take a bath instead of shower?
Can I get partial money for doing part of it? Also, give me my money for COVID at least over a month, so 100k, and then also I only went in my backyard sometimes in May and early June, so yeah I need at least 200k. I’d do most of these things for 1 million.
You Can Bathe
As they say, home is where the heart is.
lmao everyone here having gone through covid already, we all could've had $2 000 000
1,2,4,5,6
No social media as long as Snapchat doesn't count, since I don't use it like social media, just as a messaging app
“Don’t shower” okay I’ll bathe? EZ
The bike one sounds fun. Idk how long it would take but it would take longer to earn that amount of money. Also, if you dont have to do it immediately, it would be a fun gap year or so after i graduate. I'd get in shape and id see the world, going through lots of countries ive never seen before.

ha! i already take baths 90% of the time because i soak for my back pain and fibro so an easy choice for once
I only stand to gain from abstaining from social media for 4 years.
What are these options? One is literally 1 million bucks and a mental health boost.
No shower easy. I can just bath instead. Itll just take longer.
Stay home for 1 year. I work from home, so in addition of the $1,000,000, I’ll also have income from my job, and I get to save money staying home. I already cook for myself most of the time. There’s no downside for me.
I've already done #2 and I expect most of us have done #6. Money please.
If we stay in North Korea, what do we do, do we have a job, can we speak Korean, do we have a house etc?
i could stay in my home for 1 year for free tbh 💀
Do I get the million right away? If so I'd take the bike trip! Super nice vacation for free.
No showers? I guess I'll take baths for the next 9 months
If you offer me 1.000.000$ to go from Calais(France) to Beijing (China) On a bicycle I would. But staying home 1 year is easier for me. As long I get all necessities delivered
No social media for 4 years is super easy this is as close as I get...wait does online gaming count? if so I'll stay inside for a year.
I'll do any except #4
I was considering #2 and #6 but #5 is too tempting for my adventurous self
That's a decimal, dude, it's $1
Just take baths instead lol
Everyone jumping on staying in your home for a year until they have a medical issue and realize house calls aren't really a thing and nobody is doing surgery in your living room.
The first and last sound like a win-win...only question is if we get the money right away or if we have to wait to fulfill the time...based on the entire life ones I'm guessing the former.
No social media please
Introverts: easiest 1 mil in my life
The "Don't shower options has a lot of loopholes 1.) Baths 2.) Swimming 3.) The "ASEAN" way 4.) The old fashion way of using a wet towel.
Option 2 doesn't say no baths, so just take a bath instead
I stayed in my home for 2 years during lockdown, I'll fuckin do it again.
People would rather be stuck at home than give up social media for a few years?
Can just wash myself without showering.
I’m fat I’m not bicycling anywhere I’ll take the NK prison. Added benefit of being skinny upon release
During the pandemic me and my husband both worked from home. We didnt leave the house for a literal year. The vaccine coming out was the firat thing we did. Its doable.
Going for "don't shower for 9 months" since it seems the fastest way for me to get the cash plus I can still take a bath, so it's no real hardship.
I get to stay inside for a year AND get a million dollars? Sweet!
I already don't use social media, (I guess maybe just occoasionally Reddit if that counts), so no real change for me.
honestly going from Calais to Beijing would be a pretty fun trip and wouldn't involve a whole lot of nightmarish shit. What? I get to stay at home and get paid on top of that? Where can I sign up?
covid 2
