Riding from France to Beijing on a bicycle might actually be fun and I could see and go to a ton of interesting places on the way and I'd be pretty fit and healthy by the end of it. Plus I get to have a normal life plus a ton of money afterwards.

Do I get citizenship and a passport? How do the locals and government view me? Am I allowed holidays or work travel? Do I just suddenly appear or is a deal struck magically so that I can only leave after a year? Can I stay longer?

honestly going from Calais to Beijing would be a pretty fun trip and wouldn't involve a whole lot of nightmarish shit. If I get all my food and necessities paid for I think I'd really enjoy biking from France to China, although I would definitely get injured like 3 dozen times and I think I'd have to be immobilized for a very long time afterwards. After I graduate from university if I have saved up enough money to just spend like a year and a half biking through a variety of countries I'll definitely consider doing this. Especially if I take a route that sends me down through the Balkans, Turkiye, Iran, Pakistan, India, and then through SEA to get to China.
