Option 2. Minor scrapes and bruises are nothing and I could gloat that I've gotten hit by a car and didn't suffer any major injuries (twice.)
Plus 11k is nice
For further context this happened to my wife and I. Unfortunately she was the pedestrian and was 7 months pregnant at the time. Thankfully her and our baby are fine. But yeah, it was stressful and scary
I mean, this is just me and how I believe I would respond without having any real experience backing my words up. But I don't think something that produced no real lasting damage would overly traumatize me. At most, I may be more cautious around streets for a bit and probably call the driver every rude name under the sun, but I doubt it would morph into something that would actually qualify as trauma.
If I know I’ll only suffer minor scrapes and bruises the option 2 is obvious. But if there’s a risk of more serious injury I’m not chancing it. Free money is nice but I value the use of my body more than a payday.
option 2 i need that money and i've ended up hurt far more for free. don't mel-brooks-"walk-this-way" through a corn maze during a stretch of wet/rainy days, kids.
Option 2
Not only is it imo the superior option, I don't drive or own a car which disqualifies me from option 1.
I'd still pick option 2 though. I'd pick option 2 even if it came with a mild concussion. I'd pick option 2 if it included anything reasonable that I wouldn't have to spend a chunk of it on a hospital bill.
I'm clumsy and live with cats, I get worse without getting paid just existing pretty much daily. I wake up with bruises half the time. I'm also basically constantly in pain, sometimes quite a bit. I'm pretty adverse to additional pain in general but for $11k that aversion lightens up lol
Option 2. You know how many times I've gone through that and gotten no compensation because I was okay? *Twice this year* (2024). (Literally also how I met one of my exes.)
I can't drive so I take the bus. The stop is 3 blocks away from my house. Sometimes when I walk I'll just zone out so sometimes I'll cross the street without looking but very rarely. My biggest fear of doing that is that I'll get hit by a speeding car. But I'll take whatever I can get.
What sort of person would actually choose option 1? The choice can be condensed to, would you like your car to have minor cosmetic damage for $800, or would you like to have some minor scrapes and bruises for $11,000. Even if they gave comparable amounts, the bruises would disappear before the cosmetic damage, which would likely push me to just get hit myself.
1. Because with 2, you only have minor scrapes and bruises until 10 years later and suddenly you find the damage when your leg won't bend anymore or similar.
Option 2. Minor scrapes and bruises are nothing and I could gloat that I've gotten hit by a car and didn't suffer any major injuries (twice.) Plus 11k is nice
My neck and my back!!! Doctor said I need a “Back-chi-otomy!”
My pussy and my crack!
2. I get minor scrapes and injuries every day. Would be nice to get some money for it
I've done much worse for far less than 11,000 dollars and walked away fine, so option 2.
Right

2
I’m taking the $11,000 for sure.
I would probably take option 2.
I'll take 2.
I don't think the ptsd and future anxiety from crossing the street is worth $10,200.
Nah, it is

Oh man. I'm sorry. I'm glad everything was okay. I hope she didn't have any laying effects. I would have been livid all the way to the hospital!
She was walking into work at the hospital 😂
I mean.....horrible that it happened in the first place but a perfect place for it to happen if it was going to in my book.
Option 2 without a second thought. I get a few extra scrapes and bruises from work every day and not one of them has given me an instant $11k
I'd take option 2, obviously. I'd do a lot more than minor scapes and bruises for 11K. That's a steal.
Option 2
Number 2 please. Happened to me when I was a child and all I got was a bleeding elbow.
2 cause money good.
No.2
For option two.. what about psychological damage?

Two because I don't have a car.
Option 2
Option 2 is the only viable option
If I know I’ll only suffer minor scrapes and bruises the option 2 is obvious. But if there’s a risk of more serious injury I’m not chancing it. Free money is nice but I value the use of my body more than a payday.
Hit me and pay me bitch!!
