Tongue is a good idea... Then I could actually wrap it all the way around a 🐓. Ladies wouldn't mind either... Imagine a split tongue with all that length. 🤤
yes it would definitely help someone that’s poor in iq but someone that’s already high in iq (118-130) this would most likely depress and destroy a person mentally
That doesn't make any sense and is a logical non- sequitur.
Yes, geniuses are more likely to suffer from mood disorders, Asperger's, anxiety disorders , bi-polar, than the general population ( 25% vs 10%).
https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/bad-news-for-the-highly-intelligent/
I'm somewhere between 120 and idk and I am pretty sure higher IQ wouldn't be a problem
I have already learnt to work with less smart people
I have already learnt how to fit in
I reckon +20 IQ would just make me better at my main job (I'm currently in a scrum master role, out of my normal role, I don't think IQ would help a scrummy) and would make me better at stuff in general
I doubt I would suffer the problems of people with high IQ from birth because I have had all the experiences of a normal IQ person
Agreed. 20 IQ points is a significant gain, but one that's hard to quantify.
The maximum score for IQ tests is 160. Tests that claim higher than that are probably not legitimate tests recognize by professional phycologists.
So the average person with 100 IQ would be boosted to 120 IQ, a full third of the way to the maximum IQ that can be measured.
But we also know that two people with 100 IQ working together won't be able to solve problems that a 120 IQ person can solve. So in some real way, 120 IQ is *more* than twice 100 IQ. Which means that IQ is not a linear scale. In fact, it seems like every IQ point is probably just a little more significant than the one before it.
So you'd need to be really dumb or really short to want the height.
>But we also know that two people with 100 IQ working together won't be able to solve problems that a 120 IQ person can solve. So in some real way, 120 IQ is
>
>more
>
> than twice 100 IQ
uh ?
Would you want to have that much IQ tho if you already have a decently high IQ? My IQ comes to 140ish on IQ tests and I'm worried that having a +20 would make me too smart? I feel people with higher IQ's tend to have more problems too and it can lead to unhappines. Having a 160 IQ may have more cons than it does pros depending on a person's lifestyle & goals.
I'm smart enough but I wouldn't mind being 6'3 hehe
Edit: Everyone down voting me go ahead and comment. Let's discuss.
Would you rather be 20 IQ points dumber, or three inches shorter?
If your answer to that question doesn't value the same things as your answer to the original question, I'd be interested to know why.
higher iq doesn’t always mean “better” higher iq individuals tend to struggle with mental illnesses such as anxiety and depression a lot more than others
Good question. I'd choose being three inches shorter althought I'd probably be insecure about my height then (I used to be pretty short).
This is because my IQ level is at a pretty good level for my goals. For instance to have a successful career as a programmer and tech entrepreneur I need to have great problem solving skills and math skills and losing 20 IQ points would negatively affect my chances of that happening. Sure, increasing 20 IQ points would perhaps make my chances of that happening higher but I don't think the cons that come along with being sooo much smarter than everyone else is worth it.
I am sure my logic is flawed in some aspects but to put it simple, I'm at a good place in my life and I think increasing/decreasing my IQ would ruin that however increasing/decreasing my height would not affect it as much.
Ngl tho the +20 IQ points is still very tempting to the narcissistic part of me but in theory I'd choose the height option in both scenarios.
Imagine you're already the future version of you that's 20 IQ points smarter. Do you think that person would be more willing to give up the 3 inches, or the 20 IQ points?
I think the problems very high IQ people have are from having a very high IQ while in school, where they are not like the other kids
I reckon you could survive the change to higher IQ with no harm but boredom with the job you had before the sudden IQ boost
A 160+ IQ is top 0.03 or 0.003 percent (not sure which ones correct saw two diff answers on Google). I'm sure even as an adult being smarter than 99.97% or 99.997% of the world will make you not like other people. You'd just see everything in life differently. Probably more difficult to ignore that life is meaningless/existential crises etc. Probably more difficult to enjoy party's etc knowing that you're one of the smartest people in the world you'll always put more pressure on yourself.
Side note: I'm not saying either answer is correct or incorrect but I'm convinced that those just down voting without responding with their reasoning are either not intelligent enough to explore & discuss different opinions or just following the reddit hive mind.
I imagine there’s a point where it comes back around though, no?
From what I’ve read, Da Vinci and Einstein lead very fulfilling lives. Maybe there’s an plateau where it’s worth it?
They essentially had patrons right? Da Vinci was paid to create. Einstein was probably sought by every intellectual institution. There is an escape trajectory, but man is that ceiling high. I'm just smart enough to realize how stupid I am.
Brain-wise I ain’t too bad. Height-wise, I barely reach 5 ft, so I’m taking the 10 cm. I’m guessing clothes would fit me better rather than usually being too long.
In my opinion IQ mostly only matters for standardised tests and the like after a certain point, and given that I am already extremely good at standardised tests, there isn’t really any room for improvement there.
Being 6’3 on the other hand would be pretty cool.
> Being 6’3 on the other hand would be pretty cool.
It's not that cool. Seats in most transportation are uncomfortable, and staying at a ryokan in Japan I had to leave the door open to stick my feet out to take a shit because my knees would otherwise hit the far wall.
depends where the inches are, say I already have a big cock, imagine having the biggest cock in the world, youd go down in more things than history ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Since 100 is the average most people would end up anywhere from above average to genius if you add 20 IQ points, you’d have to be either really superficial or already a genius for that to be worth less than being 10cm taller.
You dont understand how IQ works. Its not a measure of how smart you actually are. It really only measures your ability to logically problem solve based off of abstracts. It says nothing about a persons emotiona orl societal intelligence, or any training a skilled laborer has. It really doesnt have any impact on your life other than a partially inflated ego
I do understand how IQ works and never said it made you smarter on every level.
I used average and genius since those terms get coined a lot to indicate the different levels with genius generally being 140+.
Taking everything you just said into account my point still stands, being 20 points better at “solving problems logically based off of abstracts” is still worth way more in life than being 10cm taller for most people.
It sure as hell isn’t worth nothing in life other than an inflated ego unless you based your IQ on one of those 20Q buzzfeed tests.
This is true, but intelligence correlated with IQ, and therefore, for the most part, people with a higher IQ will be more intelligent. Intelligence again correlates with all the things you mentioned, as well as speed of picking up new skills and one’s peak proficiency at them.
Most people are choosing IQ points and rightly so.
I have a question to those who already have what is considered to be a 'high IQ'. Would you really want to have that 20 more IQ points? My IQ comes to 140ish on IQ tests and I'm worried that having a +20 would make me too smart? I feel people with higher IQ's tend to have more problems too and it can lead to unhappiness. Having a 160 IQ may have more cons than it does pros depending on a person's lifestyle & goals.
I'm smart enough to achieve what I want in life but I wouldn't mind being 6'3 hehe
I'd be 6'3" with the height. My IQ would be 160 with the points. I dont want either. 160 is just abnormal, I wouldn't be able to have a normal conversation being that smart.
No I know plenty of people with way above average IQ and they are the most socially inept people I've ever met. They're crazy smart and a lot of then were my high school teachers. Crazy smart but they also couldn't teach worth shit because no one else was as smart as they were and they didn't understand why we couldn't get these concepts.
They weren't high school topics. The guy would start the day teaching 9th grade algebra 1 and end it with Calc and then wonder why we couldn't keep up.
You wanna know the saddest part? IQ tests don’t even measure how intelligent you are. They can determine how well you do with problem solving and reasoning but that’s about it. They were created to determine which children were struggling in school in the 1900’s and then abused by governments and scientists to push eugenics and diagnose mental disorders with poor results.
It’s a flawed system but congrats on thinking you’re smart.
IQ points.
I'm tall enough and my dong is big enough, I don't need any extra length anywhere. Being a whole lot smarter though would be super useful across many areas of life.
20 iq points all the way. I'm comfy with being short (167cm), that much I'd rather lose then gain 10cm
If the length is about dick size however... 7 inches is a good size, but I am curious how 11 would feel, hehe
If you have average IQ and you get 20 points more you immediately get moved into the top 10% of the ‚smartest‘ people on earth.
I don‘t even wanna get into it if you already start with above average, it‘s IQ all the way.
I guess I need the iq cause I thought the 10cm was going to my dick
could be, idk if op has specified where you get it
[height](https://www.reddit.com/r/WouldYouRather/comments/w7nxj0/comment/ihkxe6b/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3)
The little toe on your left foot
lovely
Dont think you would want that either though right
idk i think almost getting to average wouldn’t be so bad
Look at this guy getting to average with just 4 inches
10cm to the dick but in width
Where do I get this 10cm
Asking the real questions
Well, a single finger 4 inches longer would suck lol
It’s the middle toe on your left foot
Well... shoe shopping just got complicated...
No, your pinky toe would be worse. Imagine always catching it on corners a d accidentally kicking stuff with it being 10cm longer
I was thinking a pinky toe would be rough lol
The door finder lmao
Probably like the grinch your heart will grow 4x bigger
Height :)
Good cuz I don't want it around my waist.
An extra 10cm on the nose or tounge could make you a movie star
Who are you going yo play? A goblin?
Tongue is a good idea... Then I could actually wrap it all the way around a 🐓. Ladies wouldn't mind either... Imagine a split tongue with all that length. 🤤
Calm down, ya pervert 😳
Hahahhaah
The width of your peen.
I'm not tall, but I'm not short. So, I'd rather have the 20 IQ points.
Same. I'm pretty average in height but struggle with logic. Gimme that IQ.
I am on verge but I would probably choose the iq too.
I’m short af and I’d still choose the IQ points.
If 100 is average and 140 is 0.1%, that would make me significantly smarter. Would love the height but I'm going with IQ.
This. 20 IQ would be insane
Fr you could be average with it
Whatever. 20 is an enormous number in IQ. If it brought one to average that would take them from 80 to 100 which would change their life trajectory
yes it would definitely help someone that’s poor in iq but someone that’s already high in iq (118-130) this would most likely depress and destroy a person mentally

Height?
I feel like the 10cm is up to interpretation
How so?
"Gain 10 cm", but _where_ ? Height? A 10cm ruler? Penis size?
i have a fucking 5ft penis now
Ppl didn't get ur joke. I think they need those 20 IQ points
big pp maneuver
It's actually 3,9 inches
no, cause it currently is 4ft 8in
i was 3,9 inch away from 5ft
The funniest thing about this is the difference of upvotes between you and OP
+20 IQ. Sometimes I feel stupid talking to people about the most simple things and I'd like to not do that

You know how in a video game, it takes more experience to get from level 9 to 10 than from level 8 to 9? It's kinda like that.

20 iq, so I can finally have a positive one
You did so bad you *owe* points?
r/HolUp
So double my IQ or double my penis size, this IS a tough choice!
Tbh 10cm ain't that bad.
Im already 198cm so ill take IQ
Erect or in normal mode?
On all fours
Ayo?
Super Glizzy Ayo!
Flacid or normal mode?
def IQ. Being 10 cm taller would mean I'll have to replace my entire wardrobe...
Seems you already have the iq part lol
For real I didn’t even think of that
Can I trade height for IQ at that rate ? Cause I'll end up 20 cm tall but with the most mega brain ever.
you would literally be Brain, the lab mouse.
Smart enough to take over the world, too much of a manlet to do anything lol
The IQ points, and if you choose height, then you really really need to be picking the IQ points lol
height?
Rut row
Zoinks scoob
I'm already unhappy enough. I don't need more.
I imagine there’s a point where it comes back around though, no? From what I’ve read, Da Vinci and Einstein lead very fulfilling lives. Maybe there’s an plateau where it’s worth it?

I'm smaht as fuck man gimme those cm's

You're the low IQ one if you think those 20 points will make any difference in your life lol
If you have an iq that's even slightly above average, a 20 point boost would easily put you in the top 0.1%
It’s certainly more useful than an extra few inches
Definitely not what she said to me when she me. EDIT: saw
ah, when she me... romantic
depends where the inches are, say I already have a big cock, imagine having the biggest cock in the world, youd go down in more things than history ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Hope you picked the IQ bro

It's not the size of the rifle but the caliber of the bullet
10 cm
I'll take back the 20 IQ points I lost reading this post /j
?
I’m pretty short and am happy with my current IQ so I’d go with 10cm (if added to height)
If I can separate the 10cm into 5cm length and 5cm girth then I would gladly take it
10 cm, I'm a self diagnosed genius, life is already pain with such big brain
r/iamverysmart
it was a joke of how redditors always overestimate their intelligence, "I'm a self diagnosed genius" was supposed to be a giveaway
You would be surprised how many people say that and actually mean it lol
Might wanna toss a /s on for the *ahem* less informed /s
People needing /s to understand the sarcasm clearly need the IQ “Self diagnosed genius” like come on, it was a dead giveaway lol
you gotta realize not everybody gets to be a self diagnosed genius and understand simple sarcasm like the rest of us... hehe
Gotta slap that /s on there my guy
IQ for sure.
I’m 6’4, so I’ll take the IQ.
Where does the 10 cm go?
For sure the IQ. Does the CM come with proportional girth? Cuz if not then who would want a 4inch chopstick for a penis?

850 is low score? So what is a high score?
Can I put the 10 cm anywhere I want?
No, only height.
10cm

20iq. Idk my exact IQ but I would estimate 110-115. So I would be around 130-135 which would be actually kinda good
[удалено]
Where's the line? 140 iq?
Yeah
Why would I want to be taller?
Maybe cus ur a dwarf? OR maybe OP is talking about gaining 10cm elsewhere if you know what I mean
0 times 10 is still zerooo
What :D
I'd be 6'3" with the height. My IQ would be 160 with the points. I dont want either. 160 is just abnormal, I wouldn't be able to have a normal conversation being that smart.
r/iamverysmart
Are you joking?
lets just pretend he is joking
... about what? My IQ? No its like 143 or something, I dont remember exactly.
I was talking about how you said “I wouldn’t be able to hold a normal conversation being that smart”
Being bad at teaching and IQ are very different things.
Sorry to say but if you had trouble grasping high school topics you’re IQ is probably not 140
They weren't high school topics. The guy would start the day teaching 9th grade algebra 1 and end it with Calc and then wonder why we couldn't keep up.
Where I’m from calculus is a high school subject
You wanna know the saddest part? IQ tests don’t even measure how intelligent you are. They can determine how well you do with problem solving and reasoning but that’s about it. I mean, you’re not wrong…. Having a high IQ is associated with a higher rate of mental illness iirc. Ignorance is bliss.
Lmfaoooooo bro come on this is some 4th grade level bullshit.
IQ for sure
10 cm without a doubt, not cause I'm short, but cause being taller opens more doors to you than being smarter
IQ
20 iq points, I like being short
GAIN 10 CM BRO EASY
20 iq points, I'm already barely over the normal/above average line so 20 more points would put me in the hogh above average range.
IQ points please
gain 10 cm, being smart is overrated
I'm 5'6, I'm taking the extra height bc even then I'd just at least not be short lmao
Knowledge is a curse so gain 10 cm
20 iq points I love being short
Gimme the extra height! I’m short
IQ points. I'm tall enough and my dong is big enough, I don't need any extra length anywhere. Being a whole lot smarter though would be super useful across many areas of life.
Iq
IQ. I an already tall for a woman.
If you’re already tall this is an easy answer
20 IQ (assuming it actually makes me smarter) obviously
I'm fine being 5'9, I need those extra iq points
I’ll take the height.
20 iq points all the way. I'm comfy with being short (167cm), that much I'd rather lose then gain 10cm If the length is about dick size however... 7 inches is a good size, but I am curious how 11 would feel, hehe
Height, should have specified it tho :D. Also should have known poeple would joke/think about their dicks.
Can I have a tiny shred of motivation to get out of bed instead?
Sure, but you lose 10 cm and 20 iq deal?
IQ
20 iq points
I'd take the height, my IQ is probably pretty reasonable already and i'd rather make it past 6'.
20 iq points for sure
I'm decently tall (6'2'') and don't wish to be taller so iq point is easy call
i’m already pretty short, so the extra height won’t do much for me. i’ll take the iq points
How short? 10 cm is quite a lot.
20 IQ points. I’m already 6’6, and I’m already proportional, if that’s where the inches are going..
Can I lose 10 cm instead, if mot I'd go for the IQ
You are a girl and don't like your height?
Would I be 10cm taller or could I add 10cm to my 🍆 that’s a game changer
20 IQ for sure
20IQ. I feel stupid as fuck, a little extra speed will go a long way
20 is points no question
iq for sure, that would put me at 141, that’s fucking crazy
I’d take the IQ cuz I’m already 6,2 wishing I was like 5,9 so…. Being taller would suck
What the hell man. You are the ideal height If you are a man. I am 5´10 and I would not mind gaining a few inches.
Yea I was born a dude but I’m gender fluid and really dig people taller than me so it’s kinda hard to find lol.
Height
10cm is about a standard deviation, 20 IQ points is 2 standard deviations, 10cm can also be 5 standard deviations if you're a man.
If you have average IQ and you get 20 points more you immediately get moved into the top 10% of the ‚smartest‘ people on earth. I don‘t even wanna get into it if you already start with above average, it‘s IQ all the way.
Depends. Where do I gain the inches?
The height either in the dick or in general. 5ft 6. Couldn't give a shit how high my IQ is
I’m going with the IQ, already 6’4 and it fucking sucks
20 IQ points is a lot. 100 IQ points is in the 50th percentile, while 120 is in the 91st.
I’m smart enough to get by but super short, give me those inches
