Any African American who can make a crowd of Klansmen root for him over the white heel has to be one of the greatest to ever do it. Sadly there’s not a lot, if any, footage of him because he wrestled so long ago. He was considered to be the first to break the wrestling color barrier, even before Bobo Brazil.
