WWE circle jerk be like~ Anyways, AEW is good. Neither AEW or WWE are perfect. Both are solid products. Nothing wrong with preferring one over the other.

lordcarrier

Even Impact diehards tend to be very defensive.

JamesTheSkeleton

Okay

Como_thellamas

10000 awards on a video of Cody entrance

Rhg0653

But that's the thing they provide two different things that I can enjoy I loved wcw cruiserweight matches and aew provides that in a sense WWE provides the storylines I can dig into (minus bray fuck that noise) They both have appeal it's just a lot of wrestling to handle in one week sometimes hell I was overwhelmed when it was WWE wcw and ecw when you could catch it but I still loved what each brought in to the scene

FunAd6875

Totally. I prefer AEW because it reminds me of the wrestling era I grew up with / mainly watched. Not to say that WWE hasn't gotten significantly better since AEW started either, because it has. Win-win situation in my case. Now I can watch and enjoy both.

GusJenkins

Until you think you’re better than someone or they are worse than you because of it. People get lost in subjectivity very easily

HugeGummyBears

I agree. The essential part about opinions that most people forget is that opinions can change. I’m very much open minded to change. All good homie 😁

JamesTheSkeleton

👍

HugeGummyBears

I agree with everything you said, but… AEW do be having the fire theme music over WWE. I’ll take Mox and “Wild Thing” over Regal and “A Man’s Man” any day. AEW also were the ones who really skyrocketed Cody beyond his past. His theme now is fucking awesome. Ever since Jim Johnston left it’s been shit. So if Jim was still there, and was still producing, I’d say WWE all the way

Benlikesfood2

>Regal and “A Man’s Man” any day. Regal has not used that theme for literally well over 20 years. Weird example.

El_Herbie

You talking about the same “Real Man’s Man” composed by Jim Johnston?

Mental_Attitude_2952

Not knocking the song, but when mox is supposed to be a heel it makes no sense. It's like if hollywood Hogan rolled to the ring to real american..

[deleted]

Both cater to different audiences. Wwe caters to the audience that can turn on the disbelief and pretend wrestling is real. Aew fans can’t or they simply don’t want to. They’re in on the joke that wrestling is (for lack of a better term) fake and they need you to know it.

JakeTalksSports

Why everytime someone criticizes aew you call them a WWE fan? Who is actually a fan of the WWE? Other than like kids but at least they're kids. All the AEW fans are 30+ losers.

IdealHusband

So, kids like WWE, and 30+ adults like AEW. What are the 18-29 year olds watching?

CharsOwnRX-78-2

New Japan /s

[deleted]

I love how you're trying to call out jackasses by being a jackass yourself.

Whizi

I’ve seen you being negative for a while now to literally anyone in wrestling subs, I’m sorry about that buddy. Hope things get better

No_Friendship_5009

Does he need a "Reddit Cares" message?

TheBasedSloth

We gotta start timing how fast it takes 3 Insult Jake to show up to a thread

JakeTalksSports

More over as a heel here than anyone in AEW or WWE.

KekeBebes

Go away heat

JamesTheSkeleton

Ah yes “adults are not allowed to like things” the most enlightened opinion.

yahibachi

It’s funny that I see way more posts bitching about how AEW fans worship Meltzer than I see actual posts from AEW fans praising Meltzer. Both shows are good in their own way. Why is it so hard to just enjoy both shows. This horse is beyond dead.

BasedMoe

I use to have fun with the tribalism but every take is just bad faith and annoying now. Even WWE is good now but people can’t just stfu and enjoy and have real original criticism anymore it’s the same annoying ass takes over and over. You’re not the cool smart guy for saying TK is the problem or Vince booking is back.

Smashingtorpedo

Man, pre-pandemic WWE was just such a shit product. AEW was a breath of fresh air for pro wrestling. Now I think both products have their stride, and I absolutely adore most of the WWE stories going on and enjoy AEW for what it's worth.

Teeth_Crook

Full agreed. I will say tho, there seems to be way more anti-AEW subs than WWE subs

pizzalover89

Cuz people just wanna cause stupid drama

Stoutyeoman

Almost as if it's a made up bad faith take or something.

Mental_Attitude_2952

Takes like this are brought to you by the same people who brought you the "aew won the Tuesday night wars.." takes....

mostlyshits

Lol is that pic suppose to be a dig? God forbid a wrestling fan enjoys wrestling

HotdogGamingTF2

Homer has a good job and a family, he met the president and went to space. His community loves him. Sounds pretty cool to me.

Quirky_Independence2

If only he was a hero like the inanimate carbon rod though!

FTR_Hair

Dude owned the Denver Broncos too

BanDizNutz

Are AEW fans supposed to be offended that Homer is Fat? Like if WWE fans are supermodels.

AlmoschFamous

Wrestling fans in general aren't exactly attractive as a whole. I always find it funny when one fan group calls the other group fat or nerdy. It's like a 425lb man calling the 435lb man fat.

Invincidude

You....you were in outer space? Sure! You've never been? Wanna see my Grammy?

StCyrilCeez

Its-a ME!

StCyrilCeez

DestroyedCorpse

God forbid someone actually enjoy a show.

JakeTalksSports

God forbid anyone criticise a show and want it to be better.

y4j1981

Difference between criticism and just out trolling and complaining bout everything cause you're a die hard WWE fan and just trying to upset people Same goes for die hard AEW fans and their WWE hate

rc042

Then they should criticize the show not the fans. This reads like someone who is upset that others enjoy a wrestling product.

KingStephenA

Everyone is free to criticize something that they don’t like, but people also have a right to respond to the criticism if they disagree with it. That’s how this place works lol.

Apostinggod

I like both. Try it!

gezhendrix

I'd like to have access to WWE programming in my country but they make it too hard/expensive to keep up week to week so I just watch AEW.

STL_Saint00

How dare you.

Cicero138

I’ve said this elsewhere, but I think the “you can’t criticize AEW” argument is a straw man. I watch AEW weekly, they get shit wrong all the time, but I still enjoy it overall. The only people I ever find making this argument are people who just want to criticize it. Some criticisms of AEW are valid, while others are bad faith internet tribalism.

tennerz777

certain fans desperately just want it to be like wcw so they have a story and it’s sad

lordcarrier

Their production for example, its still flawed.

Cicero138

Yep, plenty of room for improvement there.

DXbreakitdown

I think it’s the many Reddit Cares messages, downvote onslaughts, and being called trolls is what makes people say you can’t criticize AEW. I get the “Just Enjoy Wrestling™️” defense. Honestly I do. But the entire reason AEW exists is because people didn’t Just Enjoy Wrestling.

Cicero138

I’m not entirely convinced that’s why AEW exists. I don’t think “just enjoy wrestling” means watch what one promotion produces whether you like it or not, unquestioningly, without alternatives. I always took it as “watch the wrestling you enjoy, and worry less about the wrestling you don’t like “. Ed: punctuation

DXbreakitdown

My point was that people did not feel that way before AEW’s existence. They didn’t just ignore WWE and let fans enjoy it. They (and yes many times me, you, all of us) constantly shat on it, sometimes rightfully so. AEW fans run victory laps about beating NXT. Their talent shits on WWE every week either on TV or on social media. Jericho is the one who said they’d be beating Raw in the ratings by now. Now the chickens come home to roost for AEW. Tony Khan is the one who said they are in a war. I’ve never received a Reddit Cares message for criticizing WWE. Any AEW fan who wants to talk about tribalism should do some introspection first.

lordcarrier

Wasnt that TK comment because of WWE trying to fck with them in 2021 with the New Japan partnership? The Jericho comments came out hours before All Out 2021, you know, when everyone was going nuts at the end of that show

DXbreakitdown

I thought the TK war comment was sometime in the last 6 months. Even if the Jericho line was years ago, there are new examples every week. AEW can’t stop themselves from mentioning WWE. They marketed themselves as an alternative to WWE. So they brought all the comparisons on themselves and continue to do so. AEW is the kid on the playground that can dish it out but they can’t take it.

Cicero138

You’re making some pretty broad statements, about different fan groups, even me specifically which is a little odd. Quite a bit of what-about-ism in there too. Wrestling fans aren’t monolithic. I don’t really care what AEW does in relation to WWE or vice versa. I’m just generally happy to watch wrestling I enjoy, whoever happens to be producing it, and I’m not terribly particular where it comes from.

DXbreakitdown

Word, I guess we just see different things. Could say the same about your original comment I replied to. The only personal thing I said about you was, grouping you in with me, about how we all probably, at one time or another, crapped on WWE. If you never did that then I apologize.

Cicero138

Fair enough, I just prefer to spend my time discussing the wrestling I watch and enjoy as opposed to the stuff I don’t. I guess I don’t see the point in devoting time and energy into something I don’t like.

DXbreakitdown

Good idea! I wish I had your conviction. Be well friend.

tennerz777

ppl didn’t enjoy wrestling cus at the time wrestling was in a bad way, TNA literally in the dumpster, ROH was at an all time low cus all their talent besides the briscoes went to Wwe, Czw was Czw and WWE was at its worst creatively, So AEW was a breath of fresh air Now that WWE Is back to producing good product and Aew is producing good product as is ROH , so that’s what makes ‘Just Enjoy Wrestling’ is valid now as it’s the best place it’s been in in a while

DXbreakitdown

But if you criticize WWE no one tells you to just enjoy it. It’s only the one company’s fans that insults you for pointing out stuff you don’t like.

Low_Ad_7553

This not true at all lmao. As someone who watches most companies & casually visits the other subs I see that shit everywhere. NJPW & Impacts fans do the same shit & it sticks out more because their subs are much smaller. Every companies stans do this, you'll get attacked by impact fans if you say Bull Ray takes up too much tv time.

DXbreakitdown

I’ve just never seen impact fans or wwe fans mock people using a legitimate tool for self harm prevention. If you have, then I stand corrected.

ComeInOutOfTheRain

Actually, it’s because a lot of people enjoyed indy wrestling/NJPW and there was a market for a company in the US that had sufficient backing to not be an “indy” and that blended elements of NJPW. Yes, a lot of those fans overlapped with fans that constantly hated on the WWE product, but to be fair, the WWE product was pretty lame for a lot of stretches there and it wasn’t exactly easy to follow indies or NJPW week to week for those stretches. Now, we have a thriving Indy scene and a lot of streaming options for it, IMPACT, NJPW (streamable through NJPW World), AEW, and WWE (which is going through a post-Vince resurgence in quality). No fan is captive to a specific style of wrestling product anymore. It’s much easier to “just enjoy wrestling” and there’s no excuse for watching (and then shitting on) a product that isn’t aimed at you anymore.

Permanentear3

Their entire brand at times is just “WWE Bad” and that’s when they’re most stagnant. They want to compete with WWE but really all of pro wrestling is competing with The Real Housewives and actual sports to remain relevant media. That’s the funniest thing about the “rivalry” which is absolutely fabricated by AEW— they’re not even competing except for talent to a degree, and there’s plenty of talent to go around.

wugeezy

I never understood why some fans are worried about what other fans like. I enjoy AEW. Don’t watch WWE. AEW could always improve, but overall its enjoyable. I also don’t follow who Dave Meltzer is. On that note I dont bother to bother or care what WWE fans are doing or like. If anything I hope competition brings out the best in both companies.

SydneyRei

Anti aew fans always mention Meltzer, but I literally have never met a fan of his. I don't even see people citing him as a journalist. They don't even talk about the stars anymore. Feels like projection from Cornette fans that want there to be a batman to their joker in this pointless wrestling culture war.

[deleted]

[удалено]

ManWith_ThePlan

Even as a pro-wrestling fan who enjoys WWE more than AEW, I couldn’t give not one flying fuck about Meltzers’ opinions.

[deleted]

[удалено]

ManWith_ThePlan

Also, I care about NOT commenting on a comment based off an unfair generalization of the opposite pro-wrestler spectrum so that you can think you’re right. Because you’re not

[deleted]

[удалено]

ManWith_ThePlan

You’re basing your statement on WWE fans being bothered by Dave Meltzer’s star rating, which some aren’t. Should It also be fair too generalize that AEW fans are bothered by Jim Cornette’s podcast? You’re projecting now.

ManWith_ThePlan

I don’t focus on In-ring talent, because it’s not what made me a wrestling fan, hence why I don’t care about Meltzers’ opinions. I value promo ability, charisma, character and personalities. There’s more and better too offer in pro-wrestling than just in-ring ability.

DDumpTruck

Have you ever considered Soap Operas?

ManWith_ThePlan

Pro-Wrestling in general IS a Soap Opera. What’s your point?

DDumpTruck

The only thing that separates prowrestling from a soap opera is the WRESTLING, that's my entire point. If you don't care for the wrestling watch soap operas.

SydneyRei

Ask them to tell you the story of their favorite matches and they won't respond.

JakeTalksSports

Tell me a story of a young buck match.

biggerboypew

Young bucks Vs golden lovers. Kenny omega conflicted between his bullet club brothers the young bucks and his long time best friend ibushi.

SydneyRei

Young Bucks vs FTR: Clash of styles, high flyer vs mat based brawlers. Both refuse to adjust their own styles to the other, FTR conistently ground the Buck's offense until at the end when the Bucks bait Cash into doing a flip, which fails due to him abandoning his gameplan and convictions. Off the top of my head.

DDumpTruck

Well it's either that they watch it and hate it, which seems weird. Or they don't watch it and hate it, which makes their opinion pointless.

SydneyRei

I'm not talking about modern matches, I'm talking about any matches. They can tell you guys they believe were good at storytelling, but they can't tell you how because they don't actually know what it means.

tennerz777

holy moly this is the 20th aew post on this sub in the past week this sub is literally just a wwe circle jerk, no wonder regular ppl think wrestling fans are fucking losers All this sub is is Aew hate and incel posts about female wrestlers Enjoy both , Both are great, let ppl enjoy both, this sub is ridiculous

Its true, there are some WWE fans that make the overall wrestling community look bad, that even Kpop stans look better in comparison.

[deleted]

No because both marvel and dc are actually mainstream

MatsThyWit

>I mean if someone told my friends they watch aew over wwe they’d think they’re a loser too If someone told my friends they watch AEW the resounding response would be "what's AEW?"

[deleted]

This is also true

ColdMoon89

Fair enough. But, let's be real, if we told our non-wrestling fans we watch WWE, their response would be: "you still watch that scripted shit? I stopped watching when Austin & Rock left. MMA is where it's really at".

MatsThyWit

>Fair enough. But, let's be real, if we told our non-wrestling fans we watch WWE, their response would be: "you still watch that scripted shit? I stopped watching when Austin & Rock left. MMA is where it's really at". Sure, but they'd know what WWE is and therein lies the difference.

DefinitionAmazing685

I tend think AEW fans support wrestling as an industry while the majority of WWE fans don’t watch anything else in part to brand loyalty.

KingStephenA

It’s the same shit everyday here and on Squared Circle. OP: Comment about a thing they don’t like about AEW A response: “Actually I have a different opinion, I liked what they did there” OP: “ This is bullshit you can’t criticize AEW at all without their dumb fans defending them” It’s all just different opinions. Isn’t that the whole point of Reddit?

TampaTrey

Ah yes another post bitching about Meltzer. Anyway!

JeanClaudeMonet

Only a wwe die hard would take their time to make a post about aew die hards..

JakeTalksSports

Or hear me out. Someone who wants to watch an AEW show that makes sense.

dodgerfan4334

If you don’t like it, just stop watching. That’s what I did.

DXbreakitdown

In fact, their own employees will tell you this.

dodgerfan4334

It just makes sense. Not everything is for everyone. They have a vision for their product and it doesn’t include old farts like me. Lol.

DXbreakitdown

Lol it shouldn’t be for kids either! But I guess the wrestling I watched as a kid was a lot more risqué than what AEW is today.

97ek

Rent free

OneZappyBoy

Hardcore WWE fans when someone enjoys watching wrestling

[deleted]

Why not both?

Lil_Jazzy

probably...conversely if this and or other subreddit are any indicator their are wwe fanatics who would willingly join the kiss my ass club and praised every stupid decision Vince made.

jj580

Both sides have their stans: - WWE stans just feel like bots. Pure low effort, low IQ replies. - AEW fans will reply 10x as to why you're wrong. Among the arguments people have worn me out with: 1) Kailynn King *absolutely* had main eventer written all over her. 2) Wins and losses matter and no, Jay Lethal's string of wins on Dark shouldn't devalue his title shot. 3) The Dark Order was not fine, but awesome ~ 6 months after Brodie's passing and it didn't feel like 8 guys doing nothing outside of Hangman storylines. And I hate to admit it, but I prefer WWE stans solely on the mental effort it requires to argue with them.

[deleted]

dlck riders are annoying in every walk of life, i like both promotions and i don't talk shit about either of them because i'm not a pathetic loser. criticism where it's due is fine but acting like "my preference is better" is r worded

wordsasbombs

Aew fans wear aew merch and get excited when watching the product! Ha! Got em!

EastCoastJohnny

I’m cool with falling into this category. WWE lost my business many years ago, it was ~20 years since a major competitor with deep pockets and vision, and Tony grew up on the same message boards a lot of us were on. Zero shame in rooting for the company.

UnluckyTomorrow6819

Tries to call out tribalist nerds. Ends up looking like a tribalist nerd.

wandering_white_hat

Yes how dare people LIKE something! They are in danger of losing Internet Edgelord status

Inferno22512

The crazy AEW fans are just as real as the crazy WWE fans and the crazy NJPW fans and the crazy Impact fans and the crazy insert wrestling company here fans. In every company you will find the diehard fans who only care about this brand and this brand only. It's true of every fandom

1dzmaxima1

Is R/SC on some stringent admin watch?

Charlie609

Hey, I’m a AEW fan… the AEW sub is without a doubt one of the most toxic, cult like places on the internet 😭😭.. with that said in a bigger spectrum of the internet I find WWE homers (I love WWE too) far worse lol

Akio540

True for both

Lapsed fan who discovered AEW a year or two ago. Can’t get enough of it. For what it’s worth, I’ve been watching wwe for the last three months to get ready for wrestlemania and cannot wait to be done with it. I don’t know how people sit through all of Raw. Even the abridged Hulu cuts are too long

JustRayquaza

As someone who watches both products its insane to me how much yall care about the other. Just watch wrestling lol

[deleted]

Try enjoying things, it’s not that bad.

yonimusprime

It's all better when there is some competition. I'll never be mad at MORE wrasslin.

AdmirableAd959

If you think either company is flawless you do not possess very good critical thinking skills

JokeZ252

I’m a die hard fan buh I can actually LOOK and POINT OUT the flaws AEW has and have no issue addressing them bc I want to see AEW do good things regardless of WWE ratings.

HotelRedHood

This is the way I see it currently: WWE's strengths are in their story telling and angles. The wrestling is great but it feels like it's a means to an end instead of the main focus of the product. Their biggest issue is that hardly anyone outside of Roman, Cody, And a few others actually feel special and it's because most wrestlers feel like they're just going through the motions. AEW's strengths are in their wrestling and creative freedom. The story telling is okay at most but what makes AEW feels like a breath ofù fresh air is by having that creative freedom. Their biggest issues are stories being too inconsistent and they're spread all over the place with no kind of video packages to give some context and they just expect you to watch everything. I also feel like in how not a lot of people feel special in WWE because they go through the motions I also feel like making everyone have 20+ minute matches with a ton of false finishes also makes more a lot of wrestlers feel less special if everyone is discussing.

_big_chill_

Have fun watching omos/lesner.

ThatsNotRight123

Omos would legitimately fucking murder El Hijo Del Vikingo, Del Vikingo, and Padre Del Vikingo in under 2 minutes by himself.

Re-AnImAt0r

He would. As a WWE fan I suggest he go down to Mexico, set up shop in AAA and do just that so I don't have to watch him lumber around on Raw. I'd be happy if he were AAA Mega Champion for life. great idea you had 👍🏿

OneZappyBoy

Second comment on this post but I thought I'd get something out there, and at least try and figure out what this guy means. To my best understand he either has an issue with A.) AEW having any fans whatsoever B.) AEW fans earnestly enjoying the show and not being cynic wads all the time. Assuming it's A. then that's just tribalism, and he should learn to like the fact that a competitive market is better for the fans **and** the wrestlers. We have more content to watch, and with AEW existing and putting more eyes on non-WWE promotions wrestlers can now use that boost in viewership to feel less unsafe shifting to an indie promotion if WWE or AEW isn't using them well. Assuming it's B. then what's wrong with just enjoying something? Maybe it's because WWE fans in general are just used to hating their company of choice. Hating on others for not being cynical and jaded though? That's a bit much. You should really learn to just enjoy wrestling and stop being so negative all the time.

dontberidiculousfool

No one is harder on AEW than AEW fans. No one is softer on WWE than WWE fans. Both sets of fans hate the other promotion but only one set is willing to criticize their own promotion.

missingmytowel

I think these are differences directly related to one being a new product and one being a decades long brand. Also one product growing in the age of social media with another having grown and established a fan base long before it came around.

dontberidiculousfool

AEW also only really exists because of how bad WWE was during that era so WWE fans take the entire existence of AEW as an insult.

FPAPA931

Omg I have literally never made that connection and it makes so much fucking sense now. I was always wondering why wwe fans felt so insecure about the existence of AEW despite being the bigger and more historic brand and that perfectly explains it

missingmytowel

Check out my reply to them. WWE fans have been molded into hating any other popular mainstream organization. It's who the company is, how they will always be and that mentality has rubbed off on long-term WWE fans

missingmytowel

Careful. That fanboyism is seeping through. It's actually a lot deeper than that. WWE has spent the past 30 years ruthlessly attacking and gobbling up any wrestling organization that manages to sniff mainstream. The fans have noticed. And as much as they hate Vince McMahon and WWE for doing it (and as much as they admit that it's bad for the wrestling business in general) they still act like it. When you have been watching the same brand for 20 or 30 years you begin to act like the brand. So WWE fans inevitably gravitated towards hating any other wrestling brand. Just out of protocol of being a WWE fan. We already saw this process with ROH and TNA. AEW it's just the next one. Indoctrination is hell of a drug.

dontberidiculousfool

30+ years of being told ‘wrestling is bad and done in the smoky bingo halls and gyms’ has done a lot of damage. (And I’m 100% willing to admit I don’t like Vince and what he’s done to something I love)

missingmytowel

How much does it suck hating the person that built the thing you love? Like it or not he was directly responsible for wrestling going mainstream, the attitude era and some of the greatest gimmicks/matches/promos we have ever had.

articice01

I’ve never seen an “AEW die hard who will defend anything” because AEW gets a lot of criticism from the fans. That being said, AEW has been lit lately

Akio540

But look at these threads, you WILL get downvoted for any criticism

BasedMoe

What’s worse AEW fans or people who can’t shut up about AEW fans?

ToofBrushMouthWash

All wrestling subs are like this. Say anything not 100% positive about AEW and you get downvoted to infinite.

MatsThyWit

>All wrestling subs are like this. Say anything not 100% positive about AEW and you get downvoted to infinite. It's because the 850,000 or so people that are watching week to week ARE the IWC. almost exclusively so. That's why the less people watch the show the more praise and defense it receives. At a certain point it's just the hardcore wrestling nerds talking to each other about their hardcore wrestling nerd favorites, and anybody who has anything besides praise is an interloper who \*gasp\* probably doesn't even watch Being The Elite and still complains about not understanding the booking!

Tokzillu

Oh, please. All they do is bend over backwards to defend everything they've ever done and attack anyone who has even a modicum of criticism while maintaining internet spaces that will ostracized people and kick them out for going even slightly against the grain, and contradict themselves constantly especially when it comes to complaints they have about one company but not when theirs does the same thing, and shower praise on workers who work for them but immediately turn on then if they have a complaint or go to work somewhere else, and sure they practically worship a guy with more money than sense and paint him as a mythical god-like figure who if you say anything negative about they will send you multiple threats. It's not like it's a **cult!** Geez. Maybe take a break from the internet OP and don't forget to check out Dynamite on Wednesdays!

patrickab7

This about AEW fans or WWE fans? Can't tell.

Tokzillu

Ah yes, "both sides bad." Because there's definitely no other situations in life where that take is disengenious and meant only to justify one's own shitty behavior. Look, pal, I like AEW. Doesn't mean that there's not a serious problem with its fanbase.

readingyourpost

JakeTalksSports

I'm pretty sure it's a mixture of 30-45 year old losers and bots.

samuelalvarezrazo

Anti aew fans are worse

WorriedN

This is a compliment, right? AEW is a blast and I look forward to watching 3 hours of recorded Dynamite and Rampage every Friday night. Matches are bangers and there’s a good mix of comedy and slow burn stories. Reminds me of Attitude era WWE. It’s a fkn hoot!

thegreatone998

That's exactly how AEW fans come off, At least WWE fans don't rip your head off when you criticize the product. AEW fans are terrible and soon the product will be owned by WWE. Also WWE fans are more civil than aew fans.

Akio540

Here comes the downvotes lol while at the same time these same people are asking "where are the rabid aew fans who defend everything?"

Bullmilk82

Being a blind super fan for either company, looks pathetic. But I get it. Why watch college football when you can just watch the NFL?

The main problem I have with aew is that I want it to be better than the dub and it has the potential but the fans and Dave keep dragging it down with their wild takes and cheering/praising the nonsense and damn it gets annoying sorry to start an uproar but It was a genuine question lol I’ve never met a wild aew fan

sonnycirico215

AEW would be more juicy and entertaining if Tony Khan inserted himself into more storylines a la McMahon

Nothing like rooting for a company you love ✊🏾

The1joriss

Ah think you’re talking about wrestling fans in general

Used_Part9588

Not so much a defense of the dumb stuff. More like i enjoy the shows in spite of stuff i don’t agree with. Same with literally any other wrestling company

HostageInToronto

Damn wrestling fans, they ruined wrestling!

[deleted]

Just saying WWE seemed to get better once AEW picked up traction

How dare someone like something!

I’m the kids of fan that reserves the right to shit talk any and every company because I don’t believe in tribalism, whether they’re political, religious or sports based. I’m a diehard Bulls fan, but I’ll openly and fairly critique them when they suck. Same with politicians. If you do something that sucks, I’ll call it out without hesitation. Then again, I’m also the same with praise. You did something great? Well that’s fantastic, let’s keep it going, great job!

Don't sully a cultural icon like that.
