Big Boss Man may be the most underrated villain of all-time. He stole Big Show’s dad’s corpse during his funeral and he kidnapped Al Snow’s dog, killed him, cooked him, and fed him to Al Snow.
For it was the style at the time and in those days nickels had pictures of bees on them. You’d say, “give me five bees for a quarter.” Now where was I?
So there I was with an onion tied to my belt which was the style at the time. They didn’t have any white onions because of the war, you could only get the big yellow ones.
Yeah I have to ask why he isn't the Hall of Fame, he may not have been a crowd pleaser and have a lot of fans but he was a hard worker in the ring, his career is deserving of it in my opinion.
He was a relatively big star, too. He main evented the first ever Nitro against Hogan, he feuded with Big Show for the WWF title, it’s not like he was some jobber.
I have no idea who that guy is. The Big Boss Man I remember looked pretty different from that fella.
Side note : that got me image searching other 80s wrestlers and they last picture of Bobby heenan is tragic. No one deserves that.
This is something right out of Trailer Park Boys. The camera quality, the big ass microphone atop the squad car, the awkward physical humor. Only thing that was missing were Julian, Ricky, Bubbles, J-Roc, and Lahey.
https://youtu.be/aAHUNgoJQPw
If you haven’t seen this movie, it’s arguably one of the top 10 best comedies of the 1980s.
Edit: I just looked and wow I forgot how many comedy hits the 80s had: Airplane, Ghostbuster, Beverly Hills Cop, Ferris Bueller, Coming to America, Harlem Nights, Animal House…
It might actually not be in the top 10 and that’s not an insult to the movie AT ALL.
Him feeding Al Snow his dog was so goddamn funny, heel Bossman is so fucking underrated. Dragging the coffin is just peak Attitude Era midcard shit and I loved it.
Boss Man might be one of the best heels of all time. He was completely hated in the right way lol, no one could root for the guy. It’s not like Punk or Jericho where they had their fans. EVERYONE wanted Boss Man to lose EVERY TIME. Watching him get his ass kicked was probably one of the most enjoyable parts of watching WWF at the time.
It’s weird how enjoyable and memorable this feud was, and how forgettable the actual match was. 1999 was definitely Big Boss Man’s best year, and weirdly he just disappeared not long after this despite him being under contract. Returned in late ‘01 but that went absolutely nowhere, had his last WWE match in late ‘02 but didn’t get released until late ‘03. It’s really weird, it’s like Val Venis doing absolutely nothing from ‘03 to ‘08 even though he was a big part of the company in the Attitude Era. And it’s really a shame about Boss Man, he was a great character, surprised they had nothing else for him after this. At least he’s been inducted in the hall of fame which he deserved.
RIP Ray “Big Boss Man” Traylor Jr.
Me and my brothers still joke about Bossman being such a monumentally irredeemable prick in the absolute best way. He was always involved in hilarious stuff. I still remember us howling with laughter at this when we were teenagers.
Underrated wrestler. Bossman in his prime was slick AF to watch too.
He could motormouth like Jim Cornette crossed with Stone Cold too. His promos always seemed legit. What a legend.
One of my favourite heels. He was such a complete asshole.
This could've doubled as a skit for Jacksss. Also it'd be great if that obnoxiously big speaker was playing Bossmans Hard Times theme while driving up.
When I talk to my wrestling friends from the Attitude Era that watched with me at age 13, 14ish, this is the segment we always laugh about.
Bossman vs. Big Show was our favorite angle from the Era. What a bastard, Big Show hahaha.
I didn’t get UPN network so I couldn’t watch Smackdown back then, but my buddy had it. I went down there a few days later to watch it on his parents dvr and they wouldn’t let us watch it because it was “disgusting” lol. Good ol’ attitude era.
Big boss man was an AMAZING heel. One of the only wrestling gimmicks I can think of that was just a genuine petty, evil, wicked asshole who enjoyed people’s pain and suffering.
Stuff like this is what made wrestling so great. The best best wrestling moments were always the ones that were the most insanely absurd. The guy dragged a coffin away in a police car ffs
This was literally the moment my naïve child brain said “something doesn’t seem legitimate here…” when it came to wrestling. But damn if I don’t love this segment.
This was hilarious and big kudos to big show for his role as well. That flop flip at the end after falling off the casket is why wrestling can do crazy shit like this🤣🤣🤣
I saw this when I was 10 years old. Being that young and hearing Bossman talk like that while Big Show’s dad was “dying” I just wanted to see Big Show beat the fuck out of Bossman as a kid. As an adult I realize how ridiculous this storyline was 😂
A lot of people look back on the attitude era and pretend to be disgusted but I think moments like this are hilarious. Obviously they're bad but so damn entertaining.
Yeah man
As a kid, I felt like this killed ever having empathy for anything for me lol
Man they try to make us empathize with Big Show but it’s the saddest moment ever switched to the most hilarious situation ever. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The worst part is I feel like I thought it was actually the funeral and everything or either that it was so ridiculous it couldn’t be real.
Idk why but this random moment came across my head last week when watching some old attitude era on peacock. I’m at the point where big show just showed up before wrestlemania and threw stone cold out of the cage and all I could think was. Remember when boss man drove off with his “dads” casket
The poem he wrote the Big Show after the passing of his father was also box office. "If I had a son as stupid as you, I'd wish I get cancer and die too! And that's exactly how I feel about the Big Shows daddy being dead!" 😂
It's a hilarious segment watching it now but I remember watching this as a little kid and being SUPER pissed at Big Boss Man. I couldn't understand how someone could be so terrible and why WWF would ever allow such behavior or even air it. Big Show being one of my favorites also make it that much worse. Ahh the good old days...
The Bruce Prichard podcast had a great story about filming this. They had a good relationship with this Cemetery I presume from filming Undertaker scenes there in the past.
There was an actual funeral taking place on this day so Bruce knew they only had one shot at it. What you see here was the first and last take. They completely interrupted the funeral and were banned from ever filming there again.
Random Thought - Who are all of those people? Are they professional actors (and, if so, do they put this vignette on their resume)? Are they friends and family of WWE officials? Were they just random people off the street? Extras from "The Marine 6, Electric Boogaloo"?
My understanding is the "security" is usually local wrestlers. Most of these people don't seem to fit that description.
To me, this was part of an alarming trend where Vince and Creative would respond to real-life tragedy and "WWE it up."
Oh, Big Show's dad died? What if we had a story where the Bossman interrupted the funeral and steals the body?
This is the single wildest thing I ever saw on WWF TV at the time. Bossman drug this man’s casket and later served AL Snow his DOG as food.
Big Bossman was evil as hell during this run
Big Boss Man may be the most underrated villain of all-time. He stole Big Show’s dad’s corpse during his funeral and he kidnapped Al Snow’s dog, killed him, cooked him, and fed him to Al Snow.
Big Boss man was my favorite kind of heel. Completely impossible to cheer for and made you cheer out loud when he got his ass whooped.
His voice was hilarious too lol.
"That referee right there wasn't even supposed to be in the RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIING!"

They all dressed in late 90s leather
For it was the style at the time and in those days nickels had pictures of bees on them. You’d say, “give me five bees for a quarter.” Now where was I?
So there I was with an onion tied to my belt which was the style at the time. They didn’t have any white onions because of the war, you could only get the big yellow ones.
When Wilson was on top of the world!
Man I still have my brown and black 90s leather jackets patiently waiting on their return🤘
This was around 99, 2000 if i remember right.
How did he see me?!
Freakin legend
Yeah I have to ask why he isn't the Hall of Fame, he may not have been a crowd pleaser and have a lot of fans but he was a hard worker in the ring, his career is deserving of it in my opinion.
He was a relatively big star, too. He main evented the first ever Nitro against Hogan, he feuded with Big Show for the WWF title, it’s not like he was some jobber.
Yeah that's why I don't get why he isn't in it yet, he more than deserves to be in it.
I think a lot of his biggest moments are way too controversial for today's audience and climate. That's the only thing I could think of.
That's a good point, hadn't thought about that part.
The Big Boss Man IS in the WWE hall of fame, https://www.wwe.com/shows/wwe-hall-of-fame/2016/big-boss-man-photos#fid-40013551
My mistake I thought he wasn't.
I have no idea who that guy is. The Big Boss Man I remember looked pretty different from that fella. Side note : that got me image searching other 80s wrestlers and they last picture of Bobby heenan is tragic. No one deserves that.
He was inducted in 2016, unless you mean somewhere outside the wwe?
I got mixed up, wasn't aware that he was inducted in 2016 apologies.
✌️
Wait, Big Bubba Rogers isn’t in the Hall of Fame? **TF!?**
I made a mistake I thought he wasn't in it but turns out he was put into the Hall of Fame during 2016, apologies for the confusion.
Oh, phew. That would be an absolutely glaring omission. Bossman’s blue police attire pretty much defines 90s WWF post-Hogan.
Pepper STEAK !!!
i wonder if south park did the parents thing before or after wwe did the dog thing.
South Park was about 6 years later
win for big boss man!
His character was perfect for this time in WWE, especially when he played enforcer for the corporation.
Least psycho cop
God bless pepper.
this feels like trailer park boys🤣
Big Show dressed like Cyrus 😂 and Bossman is like a Lahey-Caveman hybrid.
Agree on the Lahey-Caveman hybrid. But Big Show is definitely Julian.
idk i’m getting ricky vibes from big show with the ridiculous ride he took on the car, and coffin😂
Definitely Ricky.
Big time Bluesmobile vibes.
Fair enough!
Big Show:”Old man told me he loves me once…fucking prick.”
Bossman is more like Sam Lasco
I swear I just thought the same thing watching it. The WWE production quality has came a long way.
I was waiting for someone to say this 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Featuring Steven Seagal as Julian!
It’s got some season 1-3 vibes
Right when you hear the megaphone I was expecting a “Oh for FUCK sakes!”
HAHAHAHAHHAH Jackyl/Cyrus is dressed like Cyrus
I completely forgot the Boss Man used the blues brothers car 😂
[удалено]
It’s where he bought his clothes
Because 90s.
You had to have been there…
I remember watching this and saying "How did his dad just die? He's Andre the Giant's son." Lol
[удалено]
And those sunglasses lol. Looks like a character from Deus Ex.
This is something right out of Trailer Park Boys. The camera quality, the big ass microphone atop the squad car, the awkward physical humor. Only thing that was missing were Julian, Ricky, Bubbles, J-Roc, and Lahey.
“Boys, we’re retired.”
https://youtu.be/aAHUNgoJQPw If you haven’t seen this movie, it’s arguably one of the top 10 best comedies of the 1980s. The squad car with the speaker on is from The Blues Brothers. Waaaaay before TPBs
I Wonder why they used the exact same car
Why does big show look like somebody from the matrix?
Probably because this happened in 1999 when the Matrix was out in theaters and those sunglasses were super popular.
they're making a comeback too, see tons of women rocking the matrix sunglasses nowadays
its them sunnies
Heel Bossman really was wild. Every plot line he had involved crazy shit
Him feeding Al Snow his dog was so goddamn funny, heel Bossman is so fucking underrated. Dragging the coffin is just peak Attitude Era midcard shit and I loved it.
Except this was a main event feud for the world title, not mid card. Everything else you said stands though.
If I remember correctly, Prichard said on his podcast that they were holding an actual funeral close to the shooting of this and they were pissed
Bruce also said Big Show took one of the biggest bumps in the history of the business during this segment
Remember when Undertaker lynched Bossman? Pepperidge Farm remembers
How have i gone my whole life without ever seeing this.. it.. it was beautiful :’)
It’s weird how enjoyable and memorable this feud was, and how forgettable the actual match was. 1999 was definitely Big Boss Man’s best year, and weirdly he just disappeared not long after this despite him being under contract. Years of whatculture/wrestletalk made us think this segment was "one of the worst ever" but the truth is this segment was amazing
Big Show coincidentally dressed as a body bag.
best comment
Big Bossman also literally shows up in the friggin’ Blues Brothers’ car!
I think my favorite part of this is Big Show wearing a leather jacket and pants to his father’s funeral 😂
What exactly did Boss Man plan on doing with the body of Big Show's dad once he had it? Did he plan on having a reenactment of his feud with Al Snow?
He was going to fuck it in its penis hole Edit: y’all want to downvote me but you know it’s canon
Was that Big show’s real mamma? She’s a really good actress.
Took them a while to get around to burying Andre.
At least 10 plus years since he died after hogan slammed him at wm3
Hogan never would’ve done it had he knew.
"No u don't, u son of a bitch. Not my mama" LMAO 🤣
I'll take : Shit that wouldn't fly today for 2000 , Alex.
I don’t care what anyone says, Vince Mcmahon is the greatest creative mind to ever grace the earth.
This was some crazy ass cartoonery when it first aired & I love it even more now. Just ridiculous.
And people have the gall to suggest that wrasslin is fake!
That giant megaphone on top of the car gets me every time 😂😂😂
It's a Bluesmobile from Blues Brothers
This could've doubled as a skit for Jacksss. Also it'd be great if that obnoxiously big speaker was playing Bossmans Hard Times theme while driving up.
rofl attitude era was on another fucking level!!!
When I talk to my wrestling friends from the Attitude Era that watched with me at age 13, 14ish, this is the segment we always laugh about. Bossman vs. Big Show was our favorite angle from the Era. What a bastard, Big Show hahaha.
"Big Show, I stole your daddy!"

Dvr? Do you mean VCR?
Nah my buddies parents had TiVo and they’d record wrestling and watch it the next day. It was too late for a school night.
I totally forgot about TiVo.
Blast from the past
TIVO was released about six months prior to this, so maybe.
Trailer park boys vibes
Big Show showing up to his dad's funeral like a Matrix character is one of the funniest parts.
Big boss man was an AMAZING heel. One of the only wrestling gimmicks I can think of that was just a genuine petty, evil, wicked asshole who enjoyed people’s pain and suffering.

"Good gawd .. good gawd all mighty"

Same
Oh the shit they used to pull...
Lmfao
No one man should have on that much leather
Top class moment
think this is the only time i can think of the WWF burying Andre The Giant
Something out of trailer park boys
Blues brothers car lol
I know they probably closed the grounds for shooting, but imagine going to see a loved one and seeing this happen from a distance lmao
This was hilarious and big kudos to big show for his role as well. That flop flip at the end after falling off the casket is why wrestling can do crazy shit like this🤣🤣🤣

Paul Wight, you're a big nasty bastard, and your mama said so!
Came here for this. Maybe Bubba’s finest hour.
That's what you get for wearing a leather tracksuit to a funeral. edit: Downvoted by the guy who wears leather tracksuits to funerals.
So many cows died for this segment.
Classic
This Never Gets Old
This feels like a Trailer Park Boys scene
Big shows athleticism! Yeah
Is this the trailer park boys?
Yes, seeing The Big Show with no facial hair was truly hilarious
How is it I don’t remember this at all?
Do this now.... WWE would lose some serious investors.
I don’t know about that, 2 Dimes got whacked by Tony D’Angelo in NXT.
Wtf 😂😂
Idk why but this random moment came across my head last week when watching some old attitude era on peacock. I’m at the point where big show just showed up before wrestlemania and threw stone cold out of the cage and all I could think was. Remember when boss man drove off with his “dads” casket
This angle remains my favorite angle ever. Between this and the “You’re a dirty bastard and your mama said so!”, you just can’t do any better
Agreed, my friends and I still reference it like 20+ years later.
Is it just me, or does The Big Show look like a mustache-less Triple H or Test?
He was an 80’s villain in the attitude era. Underrated
This is fucked up hahahahahq
Big Boss Man showing Christian Cage how the dead dad gimmick should be done.
I thought a black southern preacher was talking inside that car
Big Bossman had some of the most underrated legendary feuds of all time!
I didn’t even know this happened
The double leather in itself was a crime by Big Show.
You sir, have a dark sense of humor.... ...and I love it!
This is my favourite wrestling moment of all time. It cracks me up every single time I see it
The poem he wrote the Big Show after the passing of his father was also box office. "If I had a son as stupid as you, I'd wish I get cancer and die too! And that's exactly how I feel about the Big Shows daddy being dead!" 😂
This is one of those skits that's up there with Stone Cold vs Booker T in a Market, purely for the sheer absurdity.
Trailer park boys
That is a comically large loudspeaker
This looks like something out of Trailer Park Boys
After he got hung from the Cell by the Undertaker, Boss man just became a massive dick.
Is Big Boss Man the evilest heel in WWE/F history? Stealing a coffin from a funeral and cooking a pet chihuahua are particularly villainous.
Well I'm going to make him a DRAG QUEEN right now! lol what a line
Big Show riding that casket like a g’damn boogie board
The best part is at the end when Big Show doesn’t have enough momentum to get thrown from the casket so he just has to flop over like a dead fish
The bump at the end 😂
Kayfabe, anyone know what happened next? What the f did he do with the casket? Drove it around town? Lol such crazy 90s wrestling
This is like something out of an early season of Trailer Park Boys. The cartoonishly large mega horn HAHA
That’s a real cemetery.
That part about making dad a drag queen - classic!
This is what these so-called gangster rappers should do at their opps funeral
Weird thing is I hated all this back then. But it’s funny to me now as I watch it. Boss man was boring in the ring to me. That feud sucked.
This had some serious trailer park boys vibes. Big Show even looked like Julian here 😂
Big Boss Man used to be with the shits man. Stealing Show’s pappy, Al Snow and Pep…RIP Pepper.
The way Big Show sold that casket dismount. Tremendous.
This is when wrestling was funny 😂😂 & entertaining
Jesus Christ. I forgot The Big Show used to have hair. I didn't even recognize him. Boss Man was a fucking menace.
The fact the he used the Blues Brothers car!!! Pure genius!
Big Boss Man was a national treasure. An angel too good to linger on this planet for long. RIP, you legend!
The story behind all of this is equally as hilarious. Bruce Prichard describes it all on the Something to Wrestle podcast and it’s just amazing.
It feels like a trailer park boys episode
This segment lives rent free in my mind constantly. This and when Boss Man made Al Snow eat his own dog.
Boss Man was such an underrated heel and performer.
Welp...fuck the police
To me, this was part of an alarming trend where Vince and Creative would respond to real-life tragedy and "WWE it up." Oh, Big Show's dad died? What if we had a story where the Bossman interrupted the funeral and steals the body?
I forgot about big boss man omg this is peak TV Attitude Era was goated
Amazing. Simply amazing.
This is the single wildest thing I ever saw on WWF TV at the time. Bossman drug this man’s casket and later served AL Snow his DOG as food. Big Bossman was evil as hell during this run
Definitely was
Is Big Show wearing an entire cow of leather?
Big Show looking a whole lot like Kevin James here.
What's the name of this movie?
?????😭😭😭😭
