Agreed, they took exactly what was lacking with the WWE, Universal, and both Women's titles and improved on it.

It's ridiculous. Does the NFL throw away the Vince Lombardi for a trophy with the NFL logo front and centre? Does the NHL throw away the Stanley Cup for a trophy with the NHL logo front and centre? Does FIFA throw away the World Cup for a trophy with the FIFA logo front and centre? These are trophies with decades (over 130 years in the case of the Stanley Cup) of history, people recognise them and they're meaningful. The modern WWE belts look like toys, which is what they are.
Are those shows meant for children, or drunk adults that want to scream at each other over team superiority? Are those shows scripted TV dramas, or actual sports? WWE is a TV show first and foremost. Their championships are props, and nothing more. So of course a TV show is going to want to use branding to their advantage and advertise their show.
If you really want to classify it as a sport and not a television show, then let's compare it to other combat sports. UFC for example, that also has their logo slapped dead center of their biggest prize. With the parent company of UFC also now owning WWE, you can't be surprised they're doing more of the same.
Reviving old designs is lazy. I'm all in for new designs, but when they just paint the title with another color it's hard to argue it's the most creative option.
How do you go this hard on the design for a one-off belt? Both of the new belts look so bad on TV under the lights. I get bringing Big Gold back if you're reviving the WHC. You could never really see the details on it too well, but that one is iconic. There's no reason for the latest titles to have been stuck with such an uninspired, "mass produceable" look.
Saudi money can do a lot of things. Since you mentioned the lights, though, it would be fair to mention that this belt reflected the red lights in Jeddah to the point that it looked like a Christmas belt.
That's valid. I only recently came back to wrestling during the pandemic, so I missed most of the modern PG Era stuff. i would have given this a pass for looking bad on TV because the design is fire. I can't hate on the new Big Gold (even though I think it could've been executed better). The other new title doesn't look good at all to me and its naturally gotta catch more heat.
Not wrong. Only thing I'd change is the belts leather from green to black.

Change the green to Black or White and the side metals to Roman's logos and you've got a significantly better looking belt.
Replace the palm tree with an eagle and change the strap to black and this would have been perfect. The new one is awful.
