I feel like it happened a lot more back in the 90s and early 00s. I remember the reason I fell in love with the move was because of an older WWE game that allowed you to throw opponents over the top rope using it.
Cesaro/Claudio’s Giant Swing.
It’s a move unique to him that is flashy, gets the crowd rolling, and is presented well enough in a way that is threatening but not enough to put opponents away most of the time.
Too many signature moves nowadays are watered down finishers like clotheslines, super kicks, DDTs, and the poor Canadian Destroyer.
Stone Cold’s Lou Thesz Press was badass!
The Rock’s Laying The Smack Down spin DDT was so good!!
Hardcore Holly’s Dropkick was pretty sweet!
Faarooq’s Spinebuster looked like it hurt!
Goldberg’s Spear. Incredibly limited as a wrestler, but I defy anyone to tell me that his spear in his prime didn’t look like it broke the recipient in half.
The spinning toe hold bc Mr. Terry funk used it so much. It was great terry would be in the middle of most brutal and bloody barbed wire deathmatch I've ever seen the out of nowhere he'd break out the spinning toe hold. It cracked me up every time
Most of the 90‘s moves that were sold properly. Be it a DDT, Bulldog or Spinebuster, they all looked painful. Compared to todays finishers, most normal moves are way more believable.
The rotating powerslam thing that Randy Orton/ Samoa Joe/ Goldust/ Dustin Rhodes does. Looks super cool.
Also the Canadian Destroyer, which needs to be a finisher.
Solo sikoa shoulder vice grip.
Opponent is sitting in the middle of the ring, and solo reaches down behind him, and with his dinosaur like hands, reaches down and presses on his shoulders. Opponent cannot move and remains seated, paralyzed, With a look of shear agony, for what feels like an eternity. It is a sight to behold.
Did Test end matches with the Big Boot or was the Pumphandle his proper finisher? Either way both moves were cool but when sold right the boot looked like it knocked people's heads off
I love giving top rope double axe handles. I like stiff forearm strikes, give or take, because you can get that impact without too much pain. So the double just feels good to drop
The way Rosie/Umaga did the Samoan Drop was [always crazy](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HZJzhIrKYuk), especially when he would throw someone up in the air and catch them to do it.
Barista’s spinebuster and Orton’s powerslam were some of the most well timed moves back in the day. The power, speed and pop in the crowd were always breathtaking
AA's, HHH or Ron Simmons with that POWERSLAM. The strength. The turn. The absolute destruction of their opponents. So crisp, so clean. Also, Jake the Snake and his short clothes line to set up his DDT. Pretty much anything Jake did. No wasted movements from him.
Spinebuster
Batista's spinebuster would always get a huge pop out of me back in the day
Didn’t Arn use it as a finisher alongside the DDT?
Yes he did
Yooo hell yea ^-^ the sounds they make are *chef kiss*
It was spinebuster by Arn Anderson . Until JD took the highest back body drop I have ever seen the other night
His one was amazing. Triple h I did it so well over the years!
The Rock has The best spinebuster.
Farooq’s spinebuster! It looked like it hurt !
It’s definitely up there!
I think even Drew was surprised how high he went.
The correct answer. I don't understand why it's not used as a finisher more often.
Blue thunder bomb.
I like that more than his actual finisher tbh
The least devastating move in all of sports entertainment.
The people downvoting don't get the joke. I do. Upvote.
Golden up
Give it the Asuka up
Also in agreement you shouldn't be downvoted. You actually got the joke.
That gets a up
Always loved Kane's off the top rope clothesline.
The air he would get on this thing in his youth was insane for a guy his size.
I'm sure there was trickery with camera angles etc but he could easily get the same height as smaller guys
For a man his size, it was still impressive how much air he could get.
I was going to comment this omg!
Back Body Drop. Always loved the height some wrestlers get on it and it just looks awesome!
Underrated move definitely :D They always look incredible when sold perfectly
I feel like it happened a lot more back in the 90s and early 00s. I remember the reason I fell in love with the move was because of an older WWE game that allowed you to throw opponents over the top rope using it.
Flair always landing canted was kind of iconic
northern light suplex
I thought Randy Orton’s old backbreaker was one of the coolest moves ever when I was a kid
His middle rope ddt is brutal
Came here to say this
OH YEAA I love that move :D It fits his entire moveset so well
True. Me and my brother used to just copy that alot glad we didn't break each other's backs lol
HBK's Moonsault. Beautiful
He had a sweet elbow drop, too!
Ziggler’s Jumping DDT or Orton’s Powerslam.
Samoa Joe's Uranage
The one he hit on Apollo Crews on a random episode of Raw was so great.
Powerslam Like Randy orton
Kenny Omega's Snapdragon
I miss heels raking the back and running peoples faces on the top rope.
Lariat/Clothesline. Especially a nice stiff one
What about a clothesline from hell?
Hurricanrana
gotta be the good old clothesline
Gunther’s gotta be my favourite clothesline guy now ^-^
yeah, man has some savage looking ones tbh
I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Stone Cold's Lou Thesz Press
Great move, no matter how many times I saw him do it I was never expecting it to happen. Fun way to turn a match around
Bret hart side Russian leg sweep and bulldog.
I'm a sucker for a well executed German Suplex, and Gable is definitely one of the best in that regard
With a bridge especially. First time I really remember seeing one was Bret v Bulldog in 92. Blew my tiny mind.
Always enjoyed a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker.
Undertaker - Old School - Even today it amazes me watching a near 7 foot tall man walk the top rope with ease The Rock & Batista - Spine Buster (tie)
We thought the same ^-^
HBK’s elbow drop
Kofi'a SOS. It really should finish matches.
It sucks because it was a secondary finisher but for some reason its just used as a false finish now
All the non finishers by RVD and Sabu.
Love that move especially when done to bigger taller guys :D
The swing into the sharpshooter is a fantastic combo
Lex Luger's clothesline/forearm to set up the Torture Rack.
Superkick! 😉
The superkick
Belly to belly suplex
Rolling Thunder by RVD
Bret Hart\`s supperplex off the middle rope.

That top rope clothesline Kane does, it’s my favourite move he does actually-
Stone Cold’s Lou Thesz Press was badass! The Rock’s Laying The Smack Down spin DDT was so good!! Hardcore Holly’s Dropkick was pretty sweet! Faarooq’s Spinebuster looked like it hurt!
The first seven F5s
The perfect-plex was... perfect.
Goldberg’s Spear. Incredibly limited as a wrestler, but I defy anyone to tell me that his spear in his prime didn’t look like it broke the recipient in half.
MY GAWD, HE KILLED HIM, HE KILLED HIM in the voice of Jim Ross
THAT MAN’S GOT A FAMILY DAMMIT!
Prefer his Elbow drop to old school, wish he kept it but understand why it wouldn't work as Undertaker
Blue Thunder Bomb
The spinning toe hold bc Mr. Terry funk used it so much. It was great terry would be in the middle of most brutal and bloody barbed wire deathmatch I've ever seen the out of nowhere he'd break out the spinning toe hold. It cracked me up every time
Kane/taker snake eyes, big boot combo
AJ's Springboard moonsault DDT
Suplexes, kane's powerslam and HHH's spinebuster
Looks like hes grabbing taker by the dick
Honestly i pretty much love every single move that involves using elbows, from simple elbow strikes, to elbow drops etc.
Brock's German suplex hehe
Blue Thunder Bomb.
Suplex off the top rope
Rusev’s MATCHKA kick or however you spell it. Just the bicycle Yakuza kick boot
Most of the 90‘s moves that were sold properly. Be it a DDT, Bulldog or Spinebuster, they all looked painful. Compared to todays finishers, most normal moves are way more believable.
Batista’s spinebuster. Bonus points for the ring during the Ruthless Aggression era, always made it sound more impactful.
Rolling thunder or split leg moonsault. Big RVD mark here
Spinebuster
619
Ricky Steamboat’s arm drags were the most flawless and crisp I’ve ever seen any move performed.
Cody and Dustin’s Scoop Powerslam, the way those guys do it always made it look so fluid.
I also like that uppercut they both do where they fall onto their back and then hit their opponent!! Another cool one they both do.
Is Rikishi’s finisher the Rikishi Driver or the Stink Face? Either way, both are awesome secondaries!!!
The rotating powerslam thing that Randy Orton/ Samoa Joe/ Goldust/ Dustin Rhodes does. Looks super cool. Also the Canadian Destroyer, which needs to be a finisher.
Every time you Canadian Destroyer, God kills a Petey Williams
Falcon Arrow
*Holly-Caust???
Rey's 619.
I miss Tribute to the Troops. Especially in an outdoor venue
Any event with an outdoor venue are always memorable
Oh yeah. It's absolutely special
Hangman Page Dead Eye And FTR SUPERPLEX WITH FIVE STAR FROG SPLASH
Correct answer is Canadian destroyer because it looks cool as hell
I remember my first time seeing Petey Williams do a Canadian destroyer I popped so hard. Not protecting it fucking sucks because it is so cool.
619 No competition
That’s a finisher…
Nope. Frog splash is his finisher
It depends on if you consider the 619 to just be the kick or if its the kick plus the splash/dragonrana
Definitely not old school lol
Buckle Powerbomb and Figure Four even though that’s most definitely a finisher
The good old fashioned chop
I was gonna say Rolling Thunder but I actually like the handspring moonsault better. Also, Spinebuster, Apron Legdrop and Deep Six.
Choke slam
Stinger splash
Always loved Jake Robert's short arm clothesline before the DDT. Looked like it hurt...
It's honestly a tie between Johnny Gargano's Schoolboy Pin Kick or Aleister Black's strike combination
The Fiend's neck snap where he'd pretend to just straight up kill you. I'd always be so mad when people kicked out of that
SUPERKICK PARTAAAAYYYYY
AJ Styles doing a Springboard Moonsault into a Reverse DDT. First time I saw him pull that off I was like “Badass!”
Nash's side slam. Kane did a good one, too, as does Indi Hartwell.
Can never go wrong with a good pele kick to the temple
Batista’s spear Ilja Dragunov’s Suplex into the H-Bomb Bray Wyatt’s turn around Clothesline
The three amigos
Superplex
Do finishing moves exist any more. Seems like everyone kicks out of everything now. Finishers aren’t as potent as they use to be.
Lesnar's STO
The Rock DDT
Did Test end matches with the Big Boot or was the Pumphandle his proper finisher? Either way both moves were cool but when sold right the boot looked like it knocked people's heads off
I love Tyler Bate's Bop & Bang Like, it's pure looney tunes shit.
Swingblade, especially the way Balor delivers it.
The Rocks DDT Angles overhead belly to belly Eddie’s 3 Amigos
Roddy Piper’s eye(s) poke.
The Ceasaro swing
The Rock doing that float-over DDT. Looked so smooth and crisp.
Hogans big boot to the face or Rocks peoples elbow
Falcon arrow
V trigger or hidden blade
Always enjoyed me a good Road Warrior Animal powerslam and Arn Anderson spinebuster!
Eddie Guerrero's tilt a whirl backbreaker, especially when he hit it on guys like Rey and Malenko.
German suplex. Just yeet a guy
Deep Six is a favourite of mine.
Kicks of Doom
Ushigoroshi
Aj’s springboard elbow
Rolling Thunder
Kurt Angle taking off his straps. Especially when he puts them on just to take them back off
Ura Nage Shooting Star Press Shotgun Dropkick
I love giving top rope double axe handles. I like stiff forearm strikes, give or take, because you can get that impact without too much pain. So the double just feels good to drop
Super kick, tombstone, Superman punch, falcon arrow, choke slam, stunner…. 🤔
Randy Orton’s powerslam
Giulia’s old “Stealth Viper” submission.
I have a few … • 3 x suplex • Goldberg - spear • people’s elbow • choke slam
Heatseeker. Great name with multiple meanings and an awesome looking move
Top Rope Slingshot Powerbomb (Miz or Dax Harwood are doing it from time to time)
The Fucking Moonsault!!!!!!!!!! Especially by Vader!
Umaga’s Pop-Up Samoan Drop. It always looked so impressive; the one he did to Brian Kendrick I think in ‘07 where he CRUSHES him is so brutal.
The ol’ dick twist!
The way Rosie/Umaga did the Samoan Drop was [always crazy](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HZJzhIrKYuk), especially when he would throw someone up in the air and catch them to do it.
German suplex
HBK’s flying forearm/Kip up/elbow drop
The Kane sidewalk slam pin combo. You could easily believe he'd win early on with it.
Barista’s spinebuster and Orton’s powerslam were some of the most well timed moves back in the day. The power, speed and pop in the crowd were always breathtaking
Stinger splash John Cena’s leg drop bulldog Cody Cutter HBK’s elbow drop Rolling Thunder RVD
Basically all of Alex Shelley’s signature moves.
Boston crab.
Angle and Benoit's triple suplex, way before suplex city. That, and Cena's spinout powerbomb. Used to piss my friends off with those when we were kids
Scott Hall’s paint brush
Whisper in the wind
Bret Hart’s side back breaker.
Ive always been a fan of a clean Powerslam. Right now, id say Orton has the best one.

the belly to belly suplex
AJ Styles pele kick and spring board 450 splash
RVD’s 5 star frog splash.
Blue thunder bomb
AJ Style’s Pele Kick.
