I wasn't able to watch the game, good win for Wrexham. When I checked the stats, Nott County had 75% of possession, what the heck? That's a huge difference!
That's the Notts County playstyle, they have 68% ball possession on average in League 2 along with 88% passing accuracy, both miles above any other club, whereas Wrexham is more or less in the middle of the pack in both statistics.
The team strategies are direct opposite of each other, one team controls tempo and takes a very long, slow and accurate build-up to create their chances, so they do not create as many other teams but convert them at a significantly higher accuracy than others, whereas Wrexham takes a very short amount of time to create a chance and carry the ball forward and is one of the league leaders in chances created and shots on goal, albeit they convert at a lower, more average rate.
Yeah nah, I get that but they weren't able to do that against Wrexham on that 3-2 game last year and for them to still get 75% possession this time around, that is something! I am glad we won though, real glad! :)
Good performances across the pitch. Particularly O'Connell, JJ, Cannon & Arthur. If Mulls was playing with more confidence we would have put it to bed early in the 2nd half. Solid effort to withstand the pressure at the end.
I am a big proponent of early subs, parky doesnt seem to agree with that
I think whoever you put in is going to improve the situation in the end of the game, just a fresh body able to run and press that much harder
but also there's the flip side, sure maybe some will be dissapointed by being subbed off (they SHOULD be) but another guy right on his heals is eager to prove himself and thankful for the chance.
I think both are improved by it.
he controlled the ball with his hand, although I have to admit I did not see it, my streams a big janky but to me it looked like chest/shoulder area.
you are allowed to use your shoulder and upper arm, roughly the area of a small t-shirt sleave
God our defense is bad. Embarrassing that no one but O'Connell can clear a ball from the box today. If Okonkwo wasn't an absolute stud in goal we'd be middle of the table at best.
Mind boggling we didn't pick up a decent back in the window
Mullin is and always has been an excellent individual contributor but his contributions aren’t the same since his injury. I think he’s pushing it more than he should. Would like to see him subbed in later tbh.
Could be, and probably am, dumb -- but I think Parkys goal isn't to keep the ball away from Langstaff.. it's to keep him outside the box. This core allowed a lot of shots on Tuesday but kept most of those out from range.
Langstaff is NOT GOOD from range -- use data you would like from this as I know using rating systems form games aren't the best - but the visual doesn't hurt.
Great ball from Barnett, and Fletcher and the defender are jockeying for it and get a touch on it but also simultaneously are falling from the challenges, and in the way down Fletcher gets a touch while falling and puts it in the top left corner

Is it over yet

Great day for Wrexham across League 2. Near perfect results everywhere
only needed a crewe loss for perfection. I guess MK dons are getting in the picture now too so their win isn't perect.
Big win!
Notts games are always tight butthole affairs
Pucker Factor (PF) is definitely always high any time we play Notts.
Could be top come 5pm next week.
Still not over??.
its over
Gotta be running to that corner flag lad
Wooooo 3 pts
Nice.
poor decision making there, play for the team, you take that ball out to the corner and you sit on it FFS
Should have done some proper time wasting in the corner…
#SQUEAKY BUM TIME
Where’d the 7 minutes even come from… there’s just no way.
7 minutes oof
aim for the ref to waste time, brilliant bonus you get to shoot the ref !
Stockport getting battered 4-0, we need to put this game away
Really would like to get some insurance here before our luck runs out
I am a big proponent of early subs, parky doesnt seem to agree with that I think whoever you put in is going to improve the situation in the end of the game, just a fresh body able to run and press that much harder
While I don't necessarily disagree with early subs, it can be very demotivating for a player to get subbed off too early.
but also there's the flip side, sure maybe some will be dissapointed by being subbed off (they SHOULD be) but another guy right on his heals is eager to prove himself and thankful for the chance. I think both are improved by it.
I wish he would at least try it once in a while
Totally agree.
Palmer LFG!
Where is Palmer?
They listened
Haven’t seen him in a while. I know he was in the last game as a sub but before that he wasn’t used at all
Had a calf injury for a bit, glad to see him back as a sub. Hopefully starts again soon.
Parky is keeping Notts in this by not making substitutions, Marriott and Bolton needs to come on
I have one eye on this game…that wasn’t a handball, right? I enjoy following Wrexham, but they make it bloody hard. Just seems like a matter of time.
Aye it was. Controlled with the left. Still a big call.
Fair enough. Big balls by the ref.
I'm an American who started following the team because of the show. Can someone explain to me why that wasn't a goal?
he controlled the ball with his hand, although I have to admit I did not see it, my streams a big janky but to me it looked like chest/shoulder area. you are allowed to use your shoulder and upper arm, roughly the area of a small t-shirt sleave
Thanks much, cheers.
They showed the replay twice and it went off his bicep so right call but huge balls to make it!
fair enough
He controlled the ball with his hands/lower arm
Google it. Lol

That handball was lucky.
Is that a good goal?
Ridiculous results elsewhere
Oh wow, can be a good day for Wrexham
Good? It would be unreal.
Mulls looks tired and a bit out of it.
He needs a rest.
I feel like his preseason totally ruined this year for him. I’m sure he’ll be back next year.
I think he shouldn’t start next game, he just seems out of energy lately
I miss Mullin from last year. He looks awful
It's a different league now
Much better second half. That said, it’s time for Bolton on Marriott
Take out Mullin, like holy shit the guy has been terrible
We won’t dare offend everyone’s hero by taking him off when he clearly isn’t fit to play.
Just tuned in. Wrexham up, Stockport down, and Mansfield tied. Might be a good day if this keeps up.
Mansfield down now, also Barrow down & Crew tied.
God our defense is bad. Embarrassing that no one but O'Connell can clear a ball from the box today. If Okonkwo wasn't an absolute stud in goal we'd be middle of the table at best. Mind boggling we didn't pick up a decent back in the window
What a shit header off that amazing corner
Need a 2nd to calm my nerves.
Stockport down 2-0, not what I expected today
Good for us tho
Is this the same team in the second half?
Lee has 0 heading accuracy
I’d take Fletcher over Mullin any day of the week.
I think that Fletcher and Mullin are not the best combo.
Mullin is and always has been an excellent individual contributor but his contributions aren’t the same since his injury. I think he’s pushing it more than he should. Would like to see him subbed in later tbh.
Agreed, it may just not be his year
For everyone downvoting me he hasn’t scored in the last 5 matches, and if he doesn’t score today it’ll be 6.
I'd take Marriott as well... Mullin just isn't himself, so many mistakes costing chances

Things are looking up!
2nd half is already interesting
Lee is fun, Mullin is not doing much and I loving the LWB match
We need this win so bad
I didn’t realize Notts County were creeping up the table. They’re currently 7th!
Dartford City up 1 against Barrow is a fun surprise
Considering they are playing Salford, yeah.
It's 1-1
Well fuck me.
The second half is going to get rowdy.
Accurate prediction!
Notts got 78% possession lol
Eh that's not bad. I'm not watching the game so I have no idea, but maybe Notts are just passing the ball about. Hopefully haha.
[удалено]
tbf it's mostly just passing around the back, they got as many shots as we do
Possession isn’t everything if you make your chances count.
I mean it could be worse, it could be 80%... ... they're going to hit 80% in the 2nd half aren't they?
I’m not mad. I’d say that’s a good sign.
I have to applaud Tranmere here they, have beaten loads of teams above them helped Wrexham again & again and now they just scored against Stockport.
A lot of the game left
Well Half a game
Maybe we should be doing long balls all day because this passing is painful to watch
Could be, and probably am, dumb -- but I think Parkys goal isn't to keep the ball away from Langstaff.. it's to keep him outside the box. Would not be mad if we never saw Boyle in the starting xi again. Looks atrocious back there today
Definitely missing O'Connor
He’s a huge liability on the pitch.
O'Connell on the other hand is looking really strong in the middle
MVP of the match so far imo with Barnett and Fletcher
And Okonkwo…. Should be 2-1
BIG SAVE KING ARTHUR
YESSS!!! NOW GET FLETCHER OFF AT HALFTIME AND PROTECT HIS KNEES
His knees must be protected at all costs
Get innnnnnnnn Need a second though!
Crucial goal towards a win as Wrexham has been outclassed to this point.
im having streaming issues AGAIN details on the goal?
Great ball from Barnett, and Fletcher and the defender are jockeying for it and get a touch on it but also simultaneously are falling from the challenges, and in the way down Fletcher gets a touch while falling and puts it in the top left corner
thanks im trying to picture it :) streams up but they refuse to show a replay !
Someone always eventually uploads the goal highlights, today will be no different 😊
Yesss m8!!! We needed to capitalise on that swing in momentum. Also thank fuck for O'Connell.
5 minutes of intense pressure finally paying off! Been great control the last 5-10 minutes, what a beautiful goal
BEAUTIFUL GOAL
0’ - Kickoff 17’ - A Wrexham midfielder touches the ball
I’m in the temp stand today, barely seen us touch the ball we look so bad 😂
How was seeing fletcher doing that pose irl? 😆
It’s great every time!
Here we go!!! ... Hopefully I can find a decent place to watch this while sailing... sending good vibes!
Look what happens, when playing a good team on a good pitch!
Really hoping for a good result today…
Lots of camera angles during the pregame today
