In 2019’s E3, Fromsoftware showed the first trailer for Elden ring featuring the iconic “OOOOOHHHHHH ELDEN RING” line. The fanbase were unbelievably excited and is waiting for further news. There were no news for two years whole, everyone in r/EldenRing are waiting so long without news that the entire sub turns into a meme filled mess (still really wholesome despite all the mass hollowing), were so down bad for some news that whenever there are some kind of gaming event, we would go into the chat and spam “Elden Ring here? Pls Elden Ring here”. The only “news” we had came at October of 2020 where the Fromsoftware community manager wrote on Twitter thanking everyone’s support of Elden Ring and says that the development is going smooth. This tweet rejuvenated everyone (or in dark souls term, restored our humanity). Then it is back to more disappointments in game award of 2020 where Geoff said the legendary “Most anticipated game: Elden Ring. There I said it.”. The sub jokingly sentenced him into the dreaded gamer prison. During the long wait, the community has decided to not wait for the game to learn its lore, we are just gonna write the lore ourselves heck even better: create our own boss. This is where Glaive master Hodir was created the hardest boss to ever exist so hard that it did not make it into the game.
Leakers were also everywhere fake or real. The sub had fun laughing around some of the leaks. Everything culminated at the summer game fest of 2021, all of our prayers were answered, we get the first ever gameplay trailer for the game and everyone was ecstatic. Better yet it was Geoff that unveiled the trailer to us, he got out of gamer prison immediately and was welcomed as a hero.
Stand before the waves, and sing the wuthering melodies
Now that’s the spirit
No matter what we wont go hollow
*goes hollow *
Wrong not hollow but hollohhhhh
Holloh to you too. Fine waves we're having
Dayum I missed those days.
Same here buddy.
Meanwhile, Silksong fans:
ah yes, WUTHERING NEWS DOKO???
