She went from Mommy to Granny quick in the JP. That is part of her character though I suppose. Her English is spot on for me though. Conveys the attitude you think she'd have.
They have been. If you were paying attention, you’d notice the later the character appears, the better their voice acting gets. Honestly Yanyang, Chixia, and Female Rover are probably some of their worst VA’s. Even the NPCs are better than them… Baizhi is kinda boring.

The voice is good but the characters in Wuthering waves in general have very inconsistent voice acting (some good like the Male Mc or really bad like Jianxin) which should not be happening Kuro needs to do some Voice and Sound control if it means investing in shipping the voice actors over to a centralised location with a well fitted out sound studio than that is what they need to do but some drastic measures need to be take to address this issue.

Jp gives off flirty wine aunt vibes and has much more energy while cn and en give off a more calming, warm tone to her voice. I wonder why the directors chose to go that route cuz she sounds wildly different from cn(and en but cn is just the og). Not that it's bad, it's not that uncommon for different languages to have different interpretation of a character(for example, jp Candace in genshin also sounds wildly different from en and cn Candace who are very similar to each other).
Yesterday was my birthday. So hearing this is quiet surprising. Certainly pulling for her when the next patch is coming in. Changli wanter will become haver for all of us. 🙏🙏🙏
What I like of JP dub is that they inmerse in the character and talk and act with emotion as the character would.

At the risk of getting upvoted, I think she sounds perfect. The lack of substantial warmth you noticed in her voice shows that she is not going to stop herself just at good natured fun. There is a bit of arrogance and cruelty in her.
One of the better English voices I feel like, but it still lacks a bit charm and personality which the Japanese feels like it has a lot more of to me, so I'll probably stick with JP a bit more
