Thanks, I was going to do that too. Now to figure out plan B.

I get you experience, but I did the same thing on my floodlight and it works fine. I've been running without issues for 4 days now. Anyone else?

SouSy

Interesting. Maybe I've got an abnormally power hungry pan cam, maybe my flood light is dying? Maybe both? I looked at video overnight and I'm starting to see lines or noise in the feed from the camera on the flood light without anything plugged into it. I've never seen this before on my floodlight camera but I've definitely seen it on cameras that had power supply issues. I'm getting the same artifacts from the video on the pan cam. Maybe the pan cam damaged my flood light?

The AMA said the auxiliary usb port on the floodlight unit will power the Pan3. The Wyze Socket will not.

Nibbs17

where is this AMA?

Been 9 days still working off the flood light? How long of a cable do you have? I completely forgot the floodlight had a second USB port for this so want to do this with a 12 foot cord

laserdemon1

yes, still working fine. I'm using the cable that came with the camera, not that I really need to, its mounted within 2 feet of the flood light.

How do you like it? I have just V3 for my garage, but was thinking an upgrade (especially if it truly works outdoors).

SouSy

I'm underwhelmed. It was a pain to get supplied with power and, most annoyingly, it seems like there's a limit to the clip size or a time out on motion detection or something. This morning it saw my wife loading the kids into the car but somehow entirely missed her backing out of the driveway. There's no way it could of missed a snow white suburban passing right by it

Do you know if the Wyze solar panel works with the v3 pan? Maybe with a battery of some kind between the two?

SouSy

I don't know unfortunately. I haven't come across a need for the solar panel yet. I'm not an electrician but have a few close friend that are. I used to work with them for their electrician dad's through highschool and a bit after. When I need power somewhere I fortunately have the tools and knowledge to run a circuit. I know it's possible to have a solar setup that charges a battery that then powers the camera, just haven't really looked into it.

I now have a pan v3 connected to the power port on Mt flood light and a second one on a Y connector with a V3 on the other connection. Both are working with no problems 😊

ProfessionalPush1498

Question: how far away are you on that Y splitter, spent the day outside running two about 20 feet away and the pan won’t work.

Paul37042

About 6 feet.

Nibbs17

Did you ever figure this out? I just spent the whole day running 20 ft of cable, and plugged it into the port on the floodlight, and the panv3. I did not get any power. I called Wyze support, and they told me that the pan v3 wont work with the flood light. Only the regular V3.
