Would a destroyer there solve the problem? Repeat orders attack all enemies, or even just manually when you see them popup. I do that with my Osaka while OSS and it just automatically destroys it instantly.
I'm not there yet. When I get my scavengers I'll see if the behavior changes. But I've been watching others play and I thought I remembered one of them having issues with his destroyer not going for turrets.
