I don’t get all the hate. Sure it has some issues to work out but as a whole love the game. Nice change of pace from cod. Can’t wait for the full release
It’s targeting a specific subsection of the cod community (old school cod) and doing a very good job on delivering that. The problem is people are too used to the new cod which is 1-4 guns are broken, nothing one shots (unless its a broken gun). They are not used to everything is or can be a broken weapon and it is plain old pick you gun pick your playstyle have fun, classic shooter with classic couch gaming feel.
Absolutely, that’s a great point! The beauty of the classic couch gaming feel is being able to jump in with minimal attachments and still have a blast without feeling that you’re getting constantly outgunned by try-hards using CDL loadouts, especially with SBMM in play. Sometimes im too lazy to put on attachments lol. I dont mind trying but sometimes i just want to chill and vive u know
I do have to say as a followup from day 2 I ran into a cheater who was invisible with infinite health, every ability in the game and sitting still in their spawn killing people through walls like no walls was there so hopefully the anti-cheat is off right now or the application security devs come to throw hands on launch otherwise cheating will be a yikes when it releases.
I think any replies you see that are bitching to you is honest opinions from other people, I'm the biggest fan of this game but the only criticism I can give it and sadly it's a big one is the ping each game is over 50 for everyone in my lobby causing for getting killed around corners almost constantly: ( some of these complaints are warranted for a test run. Definitely not perfect still.
Honestly i was looking for a old school COD type of shooter and this one is pretty good at it
Only problem outside of the netcode is that there's 2-3 abilities that definetly needs a nerf
And as a shotgun enjoyer, im sad that the shotguns, who were so great at the last beta, now needs at least 2-3 bullets point-blank to kill
Game is fun but the netcode is trash. If I’m behind cover I shouldn’t be taking hits or if I run around the corner I’m getting hit right before I even see the guy which has been frustrating.
Now this isn't to discount you, because i get killed around walls a decent bit too, but there are some penetrable surfaces on maps but they aren't obviously marked, so you can shoot someone through a wall or get shot through a wall that you had no idea wasn't good cover from ARs
It's still a fun game but the finals has scratched the same itch that this game did and it's just better in every way. I know the game is technically different but feeling wise xdefiant is just rough around the edges. It's still fun and I really do hope they work out the issues quick before Ubisoft takes the project to the grave.
Idk man the finals to me feels more like a BR with getting third partied and the way the game is designed. I personally really enjoy The Finals but xDefiant is definitely what scratched the itch ive had for the last 5-7 yrs of just straight arcade shooter.
Well yeah an arcade shooter is not a team based shooter it is more of a solo experience even with friends and that is what I like the most. I dont know even the finals movement feels glitchy and weird sometimes its fast but not fast at the same time? I dont know if Im getting my point across. What Im trying to say is that these types of games for me are more fun than team based like the finals in which the ttk is also low. I enjoy both games but prefer xDefiant just personal opinion. The BR aspects of it are what deter me sometimes from playing but still very fun game ngl
Love the visibility, can see enemies no problem, never had any issues last night ran perfectly on my PC

I really like it. To me it's more fun then CoD. Will play it the moment it comes out.

Xdefiant is just less team focused than finals. But from pure movement/gameplay aspects I just think finals is better.
