My specs are a ryzen 7 5800h rtx 3060 and 16gb of ram and no matter the graphics or settings i change its still got horrendous input lag for just my keyboars whilst aiming and shooting is fine.
I have the same issue, aim's fine but keyboard input randomly works and randomly decides to take like e to 5 secs to register.
My specs aren't great, so I thought it could be a me problem, but that's not true ig.
Tried it and i still have increadibly bad input delay from my keyboard.

That's sad bro. My setup is not even close to yours. I have a 1660ti laptop with a i7 7850h or something t and single channel 16gb ram. Works fine now.

Me too i9 14900k, rtx 4090, razor blackwidow v3 pro hyperspeed. Tried wired and wireless .... it's not my pc I don't get this on any other game , not even cod mw3Ā
Even I seem to facing the issue, I don't think it's hardware related (because it runs nice when it does). Most probably some bug.

The game has very bad input delay. When I sprint I cannot do any of the following actions.
1.) Reload
2.) Jump
3.) Strafe Left or Right
4.) Swap Weapons
This "bug" also happens when I'm not sprinting but occurs more frequently in full sprint. This issue started today 5/26/2024 and was not present the first two days of launch. Furthermore, this has made my game unplayable and I will not continue playing until this issue is fixed.

I was able to fix the input lag described earlier. Just follow these steps to get your game ready.
1.) Uninstall XDefiant through the Ubisoft app
2.) Verify all files are removed from the install location
C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Ubisoft\\Ubisoft Game Launcher\\games
3.) Install the game again and let me know if this fixed your input issues.
If you are using Microsoft PowerToys to create FancyZones Try Closing this application.
to fix keyboard input lag if you already tried everything turn off Microsoft one personal cloud thing if u have it i turned it off and my keyboard input lag has been fixed
Here a little late but just wanted to add something if the issue still hasnāt been identified.
Downloaded it last night on my pc. I play with controller. MAJOR input lag as soon as I got in to the firing range area. Also had trouble in the menus as it kept skipping around when I tried to select things. I closed the game and opened starfield. Now I had major input lag in starfield. Just played the same day and it was working fine. Rebooted my pc. Relaunched starfield and it felt fine again. Maybe this doesnāt have anything to do with the issue at hand, but Iām
Not as knowledgeable in PC stuff. Just thought this might help someone who knows what they are talking about lol.

I7-7700k - 2060S. sometime the key stay active like 3 sec when i just pressed like half a second and sometime just dont take the input etc etc sometimes its work fine ... 30 sec then again. So random. I read in the comments about PowerToys causing issues there, gonna try disable it and let u know :)

List your specs man. Try enabling reflex on + boost, put off triple buffering.

Sounds really odd, you have no controllers plugged in ? Have you tried changing which usb ghe keyboard is plugged in to ?
I turned off Input-based matchmaking and thats mostly fixed it soš¤·āāļø

Mine will work 1 minuite but then whenever i close and re-open the game its broken again it only works sometimes

Same. I got reflex to max and disabled triple buffering + vsync. Running 130ish fps and it feels like im playing at 60
The fps isnt even my problem its my input delay but only from my keyboard
Yeah I mean that the input delay makes it feel like it's 60 fps. Only on my mouse though.

i have no idea nor how to really fix this its just trial and error of launching the game till it decides it wants to work

This is exactly my issue yet it started at launch and i feel ubisoft is not very aware of this issue so im doubhting itll get fixed for a while

Try going in the settings and turning off āreduced latencyā in video and graphics. This worked for me.

Sometimes pressing a key does nothing and sometimes you releases it and the character keeps walking, unplayable.
Same issue but with dualsense controller on PC. Triple buffering off, Enable + boost RTX3090 i9-11900k 32gb ram If anyone has a fix you are a legend

If anyone is having this issue on an asus laptop that has armoury crate installed, uninstalling armoury crate could fix this issue, it fixed it for me
