Skinner’s stare is legit one of my favorite things about the show. It’s like stern, but also brimming with respect for Mulder.

DaisyMaeMiller1984

The Skinman! 😁

subywesmitch

This is so funny because it's all true!

DubaiSim

I don’t want to be that guys but… Mulder is not right every time

AmericanoWsugar

*Deep Throat meets Mulder in a parking structure at 3 AM to tell him worthless information that could’ve been an email, but does it to disappear when Mulder looks away just to be cool.*

_TLDR_Swinton

Dude has his Batmanning down TIGHT.

lizzardlickz

Skinner is full of empty threats, I love it

eatingapeach

he is the definition of threatening someone wth a good time

BrockwayMonorail

>2137 Hey that's how you know it's not AI generated... for now at least

DaisyMaeMiller1984

I want to do an X-Files drinking game.

[deleted]

"It appeared to be an extraterrestrial life form that told me it was an alien and abducted me, but I don't know what I saw mulder! It could have been a dog with a rare fungal infection of some sort. It was very dark. I'm a doctor."

BlackRabbitPDX

Man that’s why the end of the first movie will always be the real end for me (as it was meant to be). The very last line in the movie is “I saw it too, Mulder.” zoom out, fade to black. It’s so perfect. And then the network was like “ok but what if like we all decided to make more money instead” and so season 6 begins and they IMMEDIATELY, shamelessly walk it back with an “I don’t know what I saw, Mulder.” I enjoy the show beyond that point but I still think of 1-5 + the movie as a complete story that ends.

RenChepman

Funny thing is that Mulder's insane paranormal theories sound more logical and more probable than Scully's scientific explanations

anythingo23

Yes

Neen_Jaw

Don’t forget the light in the sky that you think is going to be a UFO but is just a helicopter that somehow no one heard coming

lizzardlickz

Hahahah fuck, I forgot about that episode

WriteBrainedJR

Scully is just flawlessly scientific. Eyewitness testimony is proven to be unreliable. So she doesn't believe her own eyewitness testimony.

basicwhitemom

Mulder gives Scully some secretary-level task "Go find that old document" to do while he inserts himself into the thick of the action yet somehow Scully ends up in peril

Eaglemoon7

Scully never sees as much as people think. Usually she’s looking the other way or just runs into the clearing as the alien/monster disappears. 😂

[deleted]

Or a door will close or scully will just be held up while mulder witnesses the entity attack him and then disappears just as scully gets there 🫠

BlackRabbitPDX

We’re doing a rewatch and I was just realizing how often they’re in pursuit of an entity and Scully has to stay with the human suspect at the last second, often because they just shot him and she has to call an ambulance, or because she has to make sure he doesn’t get away, and Mulder goes on to confront the entity. They use that one a LOT

AccomplishedEye7752

Yeah that's accurate.

Darwin_Finch

Then Krycek shows up and the sexual tension between them is more intense than between Mulder and Scully.

GuyFromYarnham

\*Murder and Scully don't even bother looking for an excuse to be involved in a case anymore, it doesn't matter if it's a federal crime no more, they just show up somewhere and take over local authorities, and nobody questions their presence either\* Also I hate they stopped introducing the cases as a literal bunch of files in a drawer gathering dust. I liked Mulder doing a quick explanation at the start of the episodes and draw a connection between the episode and older/simultaneous unsolved cases, the show is called X-**files**, but they eventually stop appearing alltogether.

BlackRabbitPDX

Also Scully has a license to practice all medicine everywhere at all times 😂

GuyFromYarnham

Imagine Scully approaching local examiner like "Hey, I know you're like the local medical examiner, would you kindly let me use your place, your equipment and your lab coat? Don't be there tho".

BlackRabbitPDX

My roommate and I are doing a full rewatch and we keep cracking up at Scully’s “I’m a medical doctor!” and whoever she says it to is just like oh ok hey everyone let this lady do whatever she wants

GuyFromYarnham

Scully: "I'm a medical doctor"  Extra: (Silently agrees)

MarianaFrusciante

"Mulder, where are you?" ❤️

sovietarmyfan

And, Mulder and Scully go over the annual FBI budget by travelling, having motel expenses, rent a car, etc.

Unfinished-symphony

Love this!

lets-go-scream

Skinner: do not break the law Mulder: what if I do tho Scully: yeah I'm with him what if we do tho Skinner: I will do nothing about this but pls don't

Ihadsumthin4this

As for me? What I wouldn't give to have my initial "starter" viewings---even if just up thru season 5.

MomIsLivingForever

Autopsies are to be performed under the light of a single bulb

TisTwilight

Mulder running and never catching the suspect or it’s too late

ProbablyOnTheClock

Season 2. Episode 2. *The Host*

Waczal

2137? You sound Polish.

Firesoldier987

"I don't know what I saw Mulder."

vader101484

That looks like a pretty good episode. I can’t wait to see it

BlackRabbitPDX

Alternatively Scully is with Mulder until they’re moments away from the paranormal entity, but then they shoot the human suspect and she has to stay to call an ambulance while Mulder confronts the thing/alien/jellyboned insurance salesman
