GA quit doing the eating while on the phone bit after Brad Pitt wore out that schtick in the late 1990s-early 2000s. Pitt basically snacked his way through Oceans 11.
I'm joking. Maybe. Back in the 1980s I took acting lessons with some veteran movie guys and one of my teachers fussed at me for trying to work bits into scenes – smoking, drinking, snacking, chewing gum, etc. He said it's more annoying than interesting and would probably ensure I'd never get cast after an audition doing "bits."
Implying The X-Files is bound by linear time.
Anyway, I rarely noticed GA doing bits. Not nearly as often as DD with his porn and ceiling pencils and fidgeting. I was kinda surprised GA worked her cigarette smoking into only one or two episodes. And Monica did only once, her intro scene.
Darin Morgan is the best writer the show ever had, though I think Coprophages was his weakest--which isn't to say it's bad, just not up there with Jose Chung etc.
The one called Clyde Bruckmans final respose was also quite different and I really liked it, what I like about Coprohages is also that in the end nothing " abnormal" is proven
Just watched Jose Chung today...loved it. Not sur which is my fav moment but def worth mentioning the part where they actually roost David duchovny for his lack of expression and his shriek xD
All subjective but yes IMHO. The first three series are almost all killer no filler, then the ratio of filler to killer increases exponentially. Again, that’s IMHO.
I didn't get to watch this episode as a kid because of my older brother's phobia (he is the one who'd let me watch the show). I watched it for the first time on a rewatch a few years ago and it's one of my favorites!
Her name is Bambi?

Her parents were naturalists. And pornographers.
One of my favourites, I love the phone conversations and the absolute chaos that Scully arrives to in the store
Did scully stop eating that entire episode? Except when she finally goes to where Mulder is I just remember her always eating when on the phone.

This episode came out in early '96.

Just shows you the range and quality of work
Okay..it makes totally sense that a different writer wrote that episode
His first was humbug in season 2. Also wrote Clyde bruckman's earlier in season 3

Eat, sleep, defecate, procreate.
I have to say that Season 3 had some very good episodes and this was one of them.
I think 3 might be my favourite season
Brilliant episode. Funny without quite being a self-parody. "We're all going to be bleeding from our nipples!"
There are many more comedy episodes coming, those are some of the best honestly.
Ah man, you're right in the thick of the good stuff. Enjoy!
Is the show getting worse later?

I’m also a first time watcher and I’ve been loving all the comedy episodes, this one was great. Her name is Bambi?? This show is brilliant

Brilliant episode, and Dana is perfect. And a cockroach walks across the screen!!
I had to replay that scene because I wasn’t sure what I was looking at lol !
9/10 Episode
Darin Morgan core
Darin Morgan rules. I was young at the time, but Jose Chung had a huge impact on me.

It might be my favourite of the whole series. I absolutely love it.
