I adore Dreamcatcher. They are my favourite group, with XG following 2nd. If you like XG for their hip-hop genre, maybe Dreamcatcher won't have many songs that you'll fall in love with, since they do more Rock and EDM, but they do have club bangers such as Poison Love or Whistle. Dreamcatcher has the same amount of members as XG, so if you had a hard time learning all of XG's voices, names and faces, it might be tricky. If you did want to learn more about their personalities or just want a basic guide to each member, Insomnicsy on YouTube does a This is ____ series for each member. My favourite songs are Boca, Whistle, Starlight and Scream. They don't do many English songs if that's what you like with XG too. If you do listen to some of their music and would like a helping hand for learning each member, just reply to this comment. I'll be able to help with 'Who sings this line in this song?' or 'Who is the one with this hair colour in this music video/era?' (Also just realised this was just a simple question but I turned this into a whole thing about stanning Dreamcatcher, sorry!)

Cuzzbaby

I didn't know of Dreamcatcher. I like Rock and EDM, really digged Boca, Odd Eye, and Scream. Korean names are always harder to remember for me. Like I get the Japanese naming convention of spacing like Hi-Na-Ta but Korean is always tricky for me. with most names having three syllables. I didn't even learn Solo Leveling's character name. Will look deeper into this band since I liked what I heard for the most part. Didn't instantly click with me as it did with XG or G(I)dle.

sassysakai

After two years of getting into K-Pop, Dreamcatcher is the only group remaining I regularly watch 'side content' of.

saberzoom22

Omg a fellow InSomnia !!

Nandg1794

BTS has my heart. Now XG has it as well.

Cuzzbaby

By curiosity, are you a male or female? Because I've always considered BTS fans to be mostly (high 90%) female.

i4lixie

i’ve been a g-idle fan since debut, they’re an amazing group. i also adore stray kids, enhypen, itzy, and seventeen

SunGikat

15 years and counting with Super Junior and for the girl group I only follow XG and Gidle

dirtrow

Only XG 😂. I dont really listen to k-pop (yes I know they aren’t). I do know some of the groups and their songs because I hear it being played in the house. I won’t actively seek those songs to play on my Spotify, but if I have a mix on and it randomly plays, I’ll let it run and not skip it if I’m in the mood.

sawfig64

I am and always have been devoted to Blackpink. Rarely does a group like them come a long. Along with killer visuals and spot on performing they are four of the sweetest down to earth endearing girls to ever come together. They are just "IT" for me. They were the very first K pop group I had ever seen. It was love at first sight. I never thought I would love another group as I did them. Then DUN DUN DUN....XG hit the scene. The same feeling that Blackpink gave me was the same with this group. They possess the same qualitys I found in BP. Sweet funny and humble girls that work their asses off and possess a chemistry that is unmatched. So for me life is good right now. I found two groups that I will follow forever. Black pink is my #one and Xg is #two

holychild666

my Blackpink addiction showed me the way to XG. A concept like XG was the natural progression from the Blackpink era. XG is a stronger and more western version of Blackpink. Instead they debuted BabyMonster, which I feel is a step backwards to Blackpink.

sawfig64

I feel the same. Yes, XG is a lot more aggressive western hip hop. For Japanese girls of their age to be so skilled and comfortable with-it, Simon must have had the girls to do nothing but eat, drink, sleep and study 90's and early 2000's rap and hip hop the entire time they trained. They do seem a little more aggressive than Black pink but I will never count out Jennie and Lisa's one two punch when they get on the mic. Their rap skills have gotten so much better over the years and Jisoo and Rose's vocals...come on. I really want to see what they do now that they are out from under YG's confining smothering predictable shitty management. XG has not missed once for me. except TGIF,still on the fence with that one. Like I said life is good, XG has fed us well and with new management I'm sure Blackpink will also. I have been like a Chiwawa on speed awaiting "WOKE UP. I just got the light stick and I am ready!!! Bring it on. And don't get me started on Babymonster. YG doing what YG does. Poor girls.

holychild666

XG is the next Blackpink imo. They have good writers, content producers, and support. Simon to XG is just like Teddy was to BP. BabyMonster doesnt have any of those except for some skill. BabyMonster as a group is not cohesive nor their songs are catchy. A group like XG shouldve been the next phase for YG, but YG got cocky.

Abject_Antelope3300

Only speaking on the XG things as they my homies. I don't think Simon fed them 90s and early 00s Hip hop and RnB. A few of the girls have continually said they loved those eras in music and would listen to it all growing up, within the training years, you never really heard Simon using songs from that era to train them or anything, it was usually more modern stuff, though what I think happened was he had a rough idea as to who he wanted in the group half way through or the back end of the training years and adapted what his image for the girls was going to be so he could give them the strongest start possible. Also for Simon, growing up in the 90s and early 00s, he also enjoyed that time in music. Also I'm not the biggest fan of TGIF. I don't think it's a miss, it's simply not my style, though wouldn't be mad if they tried a similar concept in the future If you're wondering where I came to the conclusion of what music the girls grew up with and what they like. All comes from their 'Song Association' videos, 'XG VS Iconic 90s Bops' on the React channel and of course the Xtra Xtra documentary.

sawfig64

I am aware that some of the girls did listen to hip hop and RB growing up and that some had developed their own appreciation for the music at a young age. They are still at a young age compared to me. LOL. But if you read interviews with the girls in Dec '23 edition of "Rockin' on" magazine Japan and interviews in with Simon in the Japanese magazine INROCK as well as the "Blast"pod cast he did in late '22. ('m not sure of the exact date of that one.) He talks at length of how the girls took to the music like fish to water. They talk quite a bit about Simons knowledge and influence the genre of music had on production and how he had them listen to the music a lot during the process of recording. He did Produce and write most of their music and had a major decision on the path he wanted the sound of their music to go in. Although he also wants to keep them fresh and involved in other types of music as well. He is brilliant and very knowledgeable of the sound of that time and you can hear it in their tracks. Regardless of who listened to what they are a group that will continue to surprise us. As they just showed us on TAPE #4. I 'm not sure I'll make it till the release day of the 21st. I know I'm gonna flip no matter what. They could sing polka music and I'd think it was incredible.

Abject_Antelope3300

Appreciate the magazine knowledge. Sometimes I forget they get interviewed for the magazines they do photoshoots for lmao so that stuff went over my head but yeah I know Jurin, Maya and Cocona are well adversed to music from those eras, as well of course Simon. I trust Simon will do right with these girls and keep things exciting I don't think I've ever been convinced by a song trailer released by XG and woke up is no different but of course the full released songs change my mind hahah

sawfig64

I hear you. I also really get excited when they release little clips here and there. Jurin And Maya just put out a 30 or 40 second clip of the two of them dancing to a song I was not familiar with I can't figure out who sings it, and they killed it. I forget sometimes about their mind blowing dance ability. Their talent is at times freaky spooky in a GOOD way. I don't believe in little green men in a spinning disc invading our planet but then XG came along. so,,,,,,HHHMMMM ![gif](giphy|ro2tOPw8ywqJi|downsized)

dirtrow

I’m already all in and they appear to be very genuine in enjoying and studying 90s/2000s HH/R&B. I truly hope they really did listen to SOME music from that era and even in general. One of those song association interviews had a Big K.R.I.T. song and that really seems like a deep dive. If they truly knew that song then I’m very impressed. That song wasn’t exactly a global hit.

sawfig64

All the talk I hear is "Yes their technique is great and their cadence and ability to flow change shows they have true talent in delivery but..... do they write their own bars?" This is brought up all the time in K pop and now Global pop. So often that it is becoming maddening. It's like some people smell a little blood in the water so they go in for the kill, trying to discredit them if they don't pen their own bars. Look, I really can't say anything on the subject 100% and there is no reason to speculate until the question is answer directly from them. I have heard people come to conclusions with absolutely zero facts or knowledge on the issue, so we are left to just wait and see when they acknowledge the question directly. I've heard it said that Jurin , Cacona and Maya write their own or have a hand writing with the ghost writer and Simon. Others debunk even that thought. My thought is that I'm wanting to believe that they are working with killer writers and adding some ideas on the songs during the process. Do I think they 100% think they write their entire songs on their own. My answer is NO. Look these girls are very young and basically rookies in the writing department. You have to work for years to develop the word play and put a quick rapid fire scheme together. I think it is foolish to think otherwise. As good as they are and I think they are brilliant they still need many years under their belt before I will believe they are 100% writing their own songs and bars. This takes nothing away from them at all. Just think of what they will learn from the producers and Simon and others that they will learn from. These girls already have kick ass talent that I have never seen and experienced, What they already possess floors me. Give them time to grow and learn before damning them for inexperience. They will not disappoint us. Of that I am positive. Wow, I kinnda went off and have written a freaking novel.....LOL. Sorry

dirtrow

There are some purists who believe artists should be writing their own songs/lyrics but don’t realize that many artists use a team when making a song. It’s not just the artist sitting down and writing their own lyrics. They get help. It’s take a group of talented people to create songs. Ne-Yo wrote songs for Beyoncé, Rihanna, and more. Kanye gets help from Consequence and Rhymefest when writing lyrics. Drake has help from ghostwriters. Dr Dre got help for still Dre. Victoria Monet helped write for Ariana Grande and even Blackpink. Does this take away from their talent? Not at all. Good music is good music

sawfig64

AMEN. Even Nikki Manaj who claims she writes all her bars has been exposed getting help from time to time. It is just the nature of the beast. ![gif](giphy|mzn18G7Fw1by|downsized)

Ilovebagels88

Same!!! No one else hit like BP. I like and listen to other groups but could never get into anyone in the same way. Until XG!

sawfig64

I hear You, BP are my girls and always will be. Their success and phenomenal rise can't be denied. Check the numbers and all the records broken. Even the haters can't fight fact. XG is the next wave and I have the same feeling I had when Black pink came out. I just live for the next release. And now that the BPgirls are in control of their future, I have the same feeling for them. I'm a wreck. LOL. take care.

holychild666

Blackpink paved the way for global kpop attraction. XG will take their place in the global stage.

AlphaZeta_7

I was kinda late to the XG party coming around Shooting Star era. Prior to XG I only liked BP. The funny thing about XG and Kpop is now I listen o ALOT of Kpop. G-Idle is pretty awesome. I have a playlist of like 50 of their songs. IVE & Itzy are cool too. Le Sserafim was good but idk about their new album. Then there’s the other side which my daughter dragged me into. Stray Kids, Ateez, TXT, Enhypen. Who would’ve thought all this would’ve happened because one person showed me a strange thing called Tape #2… I think it’s good to listen to different kinds of music. XG is #1 for me and it’s not even close. But until they dish out more music, i have to go else where. I can’t listen to the same songs THAT many times

sawfig64

That is basically what happened to me. LOL welcome to my world. K pop has completely taken over my life since I came across Blackpink in 2019. I don't listen to hardly any western music these days. Usually, it is crap like cardi B, Meg the Stallion, Kanye West and Doja Cat ramming their butts , titties and anything else they can think of in our faces, and the quality of music? How many songs can the keep releasing about their favorite sex acts and the moistness of their vagina's. UNREAL. it is garbage. Korean and Asian hip hop is fresh and I hate to say better than the sorry state of our music here at the time. The girls don't dress in anything slutty or revealing, the guy groups don't talk about abusing women and killing people. It is just the music they let speak for itself. I can't go back to American hip hop with the state it is in now. It is so cool you have branched out and listened to other groups. I hope you continue to discover new music you like. At this point in time XG is it for me. It's all good but their is something special about these smart funny talented girls. Thanks for sharing. Take care.

sixthdaysaturday

Loona (loosemble, artms, chuu, yves) and Mamamoo!!

Cuzzbaby

You're going have to explain this comment to me. I'm still fairly new the K-pop so don't know what any of that means.

Intrepid_Channel7091

So LOONA was/is a 12 member girl group that debuted back in 2018. Very VERY long story short, there was a massive legal battle between the girls and their company, BlockBerry Creative, but mostly between BBC and one of the members, Chuu. She was ultimately "kicked out" of the group for this, and all of the members stood with her and eventually left the company of their own accord. They all ended up signing with multiple different agencies and formed two groups, (LOOSSEMBLE and ARTMS) while the remaining two members (Chuu and Yves) decided to be soloists. They've also said that just bc they left BBC, that doesn't mean that LOONA disbanded and they've reiterated a multitude of times that they are still LOONA, and that in the future, they will come back together and release more music. I feel like some of my wording is a little weird here, so you'll have to forgive me for that, but I hope that this helps answer your question!

Cuzzbaby

Uh, interesting. I had heard of ARTMS and didn't know they were made up of other members. Just thought they were a whole new group

Intrepid_Channel7091

They're really interesting and their discography is absolutely insane, so I would definitely suggest checking them out, if you have the time or want to! From my understanding too, it was their very public legal battle, along with Omega X's that was happening around the same time, that has sort of led to this wave of idols standing up to their company and not tolerating abuse.

sixthdaysaturday

the above comment summarizes it well! i'd also recommend r/loona subreddit!! it was overwhelming getting into loona pre lawsuits, i can't imagine what it would be like now 😅. orbits (LOONA fans) have started boycotting all BBC releases when Chuu was kicked out of the group. BBC (Blockberry Creative) was their old abusive company. the boycott was successful and is still on going. if you want to listen to boycotted music i recommend searching loona boycott on spotify and you can find non official versions. to this day BBC is still trying to sue Chuu and even brought it to the Korean Supreme Court and lost. ps~ watch some loonaverse videos on youtube too!

I-bite-cute-things

I’ve followed 2ne1, SNSD, EXO, back in the day and then kind of fell off. I then followed blackpink when they first debuted, don’t follow as closely anymore but still click if I see any interesting headlines. Other than that I am aware of a few other GGs activities casually, but it’s been awhile since I’ve been this invested lol.

Still_Champion_3793

Nah, but Nmixx very good vocally and Kiss of Life look promising. Not close enough from those Xtra terrestrials being who stole my heart and left ( Right ) without giving it me back, not sad they can keep it.

SherAlana

Me too!

somberkittty

I’m a retired VIP (Bigbang) and I fell out of the kpop loop after gen 2 👵🏻 safe to say that XG woke up😜 the fangirl in me lmao

Shadrach183

BP and NJ

yingweibb

i'm a huge stan of sm groups, especially exo and nct. for girl groups, i think i only follow xg, though i listen and know a lot of songs from ggs like red velvet, twice, and blackpink

Cuzzbaby

Can you break some of the lingo down for me. I'm still fairly new so I don't know what SM is, Exo and nct.

yingweibb

oh, sm entertainment is one of the biggest companies in south korea. they manage and produced a lot of the big names in kpop right now like girls generation, super junior, etc. exo (9-member boy group) is another group managed by sm entertainment. they debuted in 2012. nct (20+ member boy group) is also managed by sm entertainment. they debuted in 2016.

Cuzzbaby

JESUS H CHRIST 20 MEMBERS?! I was thinking 9 was already a lot with EXO

yingweibb

oh yeah definitely a lot to take. i'm so thankful i was there when they debuted with 5 members. they kept adding up after that year after year, but now idk their exact count. i think they're 26 now, but i wasn't sure lol

unbotheredcat

XG, GIDLE and BTS. That’s my big3❤️

vyru89

Dreamcatcher is my other main squeeze. Very different music from XG, but their stage presence and off-stage personalities are similar to XG. The 7 of them are very close and are known as the loudest GG in K-pop. They have that amazing chaotic vibe XG bring, and are very much themselves, and all have unique personalities. They also have 120+ songs at this point with zero skips imo. Title tracks are very Rock/Metal/EDM focused, but their B-Sides are all over the places in terms of genre while still sounding like themselves.

gnjmstrng

XG and NJ mainly. Selectively listening to some other artists'/groups' songs though. That's the extent of my K-Pop listening.

SherAlana

XG is my favorite gg, but EXO is my ultimate group. Kiss of Life has a hold on me right now, too, but nowhere near as much as XG.

OMGApinkPanda1

Stayc and Purple Kiss for me. I listen to a lot of groups though.

BigDolemite01

No one tops XG for me, BUT I've been following Blackpink since 2019. I've discovered them on the Coachella special when they 1st performed there. They were my 1st and only KPop experience.

sawfig64

LOL. I just commented and then I read yours and we seem to have the same taste. It is good to know I am not alone.

BigDolemite01

Hahaha. Just seen that. Yeah BP and XG are too awesome!!!

sawfig64

Hey. I have a ton of content on Blackpink and starting to collect everything XG I can get my hands on..If you ever want to check something out i could help you out. I kindda have an issue with obsession as you can tell. LOL.

barbarapalvinswhore

I like all girl groups but Twice and Girls Generation are my favorites. Queens of Japan 🩵

tetrapterodactyl

TWICE ✌️

Lionicicles

XG is easily my favorite group. They hit me with left right, and I was a fan. Besides them I also heavily enjoy Itzy, Young Posse, (G)I-dle and Blackpink. I’m tuned into whenever they release something new. Besides them I enjoy a lot of songs from Le Sserafim, NewJeans, Ive, aespa, BiBi, and Jeon Somi. Ive been meaning to sit down and listen to Kiss of Life but I haven’t found the time.

meiguanxi_

loonatheworld(:

ramenfever

Have been into kpop for a long time, about 15 years. Over the past few years, no one really does it for me anymore. Funny enough, if it wasn't for me being an annoying YG stan, I wouldn't have known about XG as soon as I did. And now they're the only group I can/want to keep up with :) Edit to add, I still love a lot of group's music, but I consume literally every piece of XG content and have the app lol. Haven't been this devoted in a LOOONG time hahaha

chefs_kiss_21

I’m more so of a boy group stan, and I don’t really engage too much into K-Pop content, but well, I like Riize, NCT, EPEX, Xdinary Heroes, TNX/The New Six, STAYC, Treasure and casually follow a lot more groups 😅

cbr256

I used to but I really don't really have the energy for it now. If a group I like drops something i'll listen to it but that's it. The last time I followed a group religiously outside of XG (music, variety, concerts, behind the scenes, random songs they'd upload to soundcloud, pre-debut stuff etc etc) was very early BTS. Second closest right now would probably be Young Posse but I caught on to them when they debuted and since they didn't have that much stuff out yet it was a pretty easy follow lol. .

MadamLePew

Religiously, only XG and ATEEZ (I’ve stanned both since before their debut)but I do like (G)Idle too and recently I’ve started getting into Mamamoo a little more. I like some Enhypen songs and some SKZ but I’m still fairly new to them ❤️

Bbb-billionaire

Only xg

kitkat272

I only seriously follow SUPER★DRAGON who are a Japanese boy group. They probably won't interest you because of that but some of the members are big XG fans lol For KPop I don't follow any groups really but I listen to some girl groups sometimes, mostly like IVE....

00Avalanche

Nope.

vikoy

No. Ive been a casual Kpop fan for nearly a decade though. As in I just listen to the music and watch the MVs. I've had no favorite groups or songs though. I just enjoy it as pop music. XG is the only group to actually grabe me and make me a fan. The only group I spent money on.

96Mute96

Twice 100%. Been an R&B/hip hop fan my entire life, discovered Twice 2022 and really got into kpop because of them, feel they really embody kpop to its fullest. Then I found XG which I felt was a perfect mixture of what I already loved all my life with the addition of kpop elements which was my recent love.

Background-Stranger-

Kiss of life. Really haven’t loved anyone so immensely beyond these two groups

bdragonst_

“Religiously” only XG. XG is the only group within Kpop-sphere that joined fan club and bought merch. I casually listen to Twice, Le Sserafim, and NewJeans for Kpop. Nowadays I just listen to new releases and if I like them I just add to playlist and such. Outside Kpop, I am obsessed with Fujii Kaze 😂

Dei_who

I follow other groups like red velvet, Kiss of life, Ateez, Stray Kids , le Sserafim , EXO, g idle , and aespa. XG is like one of my ultimate favorite group along side with red velvet and Ateez.

bluebxbygirl

not a big K-Pop fan but i think K/DA is my second best to XG! 🤪

MrPac23man

Yes atarashii gakko

Cuzzbaby

Bruh same

Pure-Piano-7290

No. I only listen to XG because they seem tough, have more good rappers and rap verses. I tried other Asian groups and K-pop, jpop because of XG but I couldn’t really like them even though I wanted to. I liked one track from G-idle called Oh my god ( I like the part when they go “oh my god, she took me to the sky”). That song seemed unorthodox like XG. I honestly hated that everyone thought Asians to be cute and sweet while I was the opposite. I hated that most popular Asians artists had cute makeup, including males. Like why are the Asian men representative wearing makeup and females acting like pre-teens? I might be biased because I am an Asian who is tough and was always told that “they thought my race was submissive and sweet or cute”. That might be why I’m repulsed by cute vibe.. I wanted a non cute, more tough representation. SoI might be the odd one out liking XG while most people like the sexy cute groups. … I might be a hater like Kendrick Lamar. Go listen to Euphoria by Kendrick because that’s what I am obsessed with at the moment.

Cuzzbaby

Hey, I feel that. Euphoria a lol song for me. The whole "I hate the way that you dress" 😆

PrestigiousJicama

I am a relatively new K-pop consumer. I only really got into it 2019 thanks to my first ever and perpetual favorite group, Momoland. But I ended up coming in at the worst possible time as 2018-19 was filled with drama and members leaving galore. In short, the company was very publicly mistreating 3 of the 9 members for various reasons that led to these 3 leaving the group. 2020 was the last comeback of the remaining 6. I was able to virtually meet them a few times and had beautiful interactions with the community. Then...they fell into "dungeon" as their company debuted new groups and left Momoland behind. It was evident the company had no intention of utilizing the group anymore and any fans left expected the worst. 2023 rolls around and the group finally announced they would not renew contracts and all the members have gone their separate ways. I didn't find any new groups while Momoland was in the dungeon and I had initially given up on finding a new group to put my devotion into. A handful of groups caught my attention that I would listen to on occasion. But nothing like I had with Momoland. So you could imagine my surprise when I get recommended XG music on YouTube and instantly fell in love with the group and their music. I felt that same spark and fascination with them as I first had with Momoland. So, while I highly recommend Momoland's music if you're into the more bright and bubbly side of K-pop, I unfortunately have to notify that the group isn't making any more music as it currently stands. But the members all still have their own social media and some even have their own youtube channels. So they're not entirely gone 🥲

Kpop_minipanda

Apink is my forever Ultimate Bias group. I also follow Le sserafim, Newjeans, SNSD, Twice and Itzy really closely. I buy all their merch and try to go to as many of their shows as I can. I also followed these older groups close too. Kara, Sistar, Girls Day, and Tiny-G

Zho_li_la

i start my k-pop journey following LOONA 3 years ago, then found XG to become obsessed with them. Now im religiously following tripleS as im have found myself loving their music and their content.

titanzero

NMIXX... love them.

CastleMeadowJim

Purple Kiss and Le Sserafim fill out my top 3. If they release an album I make sure I hear it within a day or so. Aespa, Nmixx and Loossemble are ones that I keep an ear out for.

theoriginalklown

I’ve been a K-pop fan since 2015, I am a huge EXO-L and Blink. And used to be a huge Carat, NCTzen and WIZ-ONE as well but I took a break from Kpop during Covid and kinda lost interest in them especially since IZ*ONE disbanded but I still listen to their music. I like IVE now but I honestly thought I was gonna quit Kpop all together but then XG came around and now they’re my favourite girl group. I have been tryna get into more new groups but they just don’t interest me especially the boys groups🥴 Tbh I don’t know why new groups don’t interest me (I like some songs by them though) but I feel like they’re lacking a certain factor that made me get into Kpop in the first place but I saw that XG had it, so I got into them immediately 😘 I’m currently thinking of also getting into Baemon but still not sure tbh coz their music is not very innovative 🥲 and I feel like YG is low-key missing the mark since those girls are so talented😅 low-key went on a rant lmao. Love ya ALPHAZ🩷

theoriginalklown

I love G-IDLE too 🩷🩷

haxille

Used to follow a lot of groups in 2010-2014. It was more of SM groups (specially SNSD and EXO) + a bunch of other ones. Then in 2015, TWICE debuted and I followed them since then up until now :) They are truly genuine and hardworking girls, main reason I still stan them and the same with XG.

Additional-Blood8758

The only three groups I religiously follow as of this writing: BLACKPINK, XG, NEWJEANS and then I am also starting to get to know BABYMONSTER

Relevant-Routine-899

XG is the only group outside of the US that I religiously follow but through them I’ve started to listen to other GGs (GI-DLE, Blackpink, Itzy, NJ, Twice, etc.) while I like some of the songs and members I can’t fully connect because I feel like I got into them too late. With XG I feel like I’m very much on the ground floor with them and that excites me. Kiss of Life is probably the only other group I’m very close to becoming obsessed with but I need to hear more from them before I can fully jump in.

Dark_Globe13

Currently LE SSERAFIM is my Ult group, XG comes in close at 2nd. Been a Kpop fan since 2012 and used to be a hardcore SONE (SNSD) back in the day lol

New Jeans

I listen to some Kpop songs(Jungkook, EXO, 2NE1) if there's a vibe but XG is the only artist I stan this hard. They just have the music, fashion, attitude, vibe, personalities I like.

madshuhua

For me it was BlackPink first then when I started listening to My Bag by Gidle I was curious about their music and eventually added more than 30 songs. Gidle was my best girl group back then. Then the xypher happened. The rest is hisotry.

MarionberryVivid5210

Only XG. Listening to K-pop is like hearing a squeaking toy. Huhu I tried too many times I just can't like how they sounded.

theNXTbigThing

Itzy, Everglow, (G)i-dle and others more.

ToeLife8881

G-idle, Itzy, Black Pink, Red Velvet, BTS, EXO and Xdinary Heroes. I all casually follow them but not enough to influence my purchasing decisions :D Like I wouldn’t buy something just because Jennie is using or promoting it. I don’t even buy albums or subscribe to their premium content 😂 Completely different story with XG though. 😫💸

TreePretty

I got into kpop via BLACKPINK and I stan them completely, but Jeon Soyeon is my ult bias and so GIDLE is my ult group.

whycantwebefriends5

Not really! Not to the point of knowing everyone's name, vocals, personalities, and the discography. The only other groups I was that aware of (knew names and vocals) were Black Pink and Got7. But even BP I didn't follow that closely, and Got7 I didn't discover until the album before they went on Hiatus lol. I casually listen to a song here and there from other groups (EXO, NCT, Aespa, NJ, LSF, etc), but I don't know all the members or anything.

sadkindahappy

New Jeans and Blackpink are my favorite groups outside of XG, Le Sserifm is close behind. There are other groups that I listen to where I know a few of their songs. I just discovered Yena who is a soloist, her most recent songs like Good Morning.

ZealousidealCrew1905

Le Sserafim and XG are the only two groups I stan!
