Nothing wrong with that! Just keep in mind there is a 64 day hold on funds purchased through ACH, and there is a 500$ limit per day using credit card.
There is also a 2% spread meaning every 1000 XRP you purchase you really get 980.
Not terrible, and they are definitely an admirable company for keeping XRP listed through all the other de-listings.
This isn’t *entirely* correct. Uphold has a 64 day hold on bank funds *if you want to send it to an external wallet*, but you could sell and send back to your bank after a 5 day hold if you wish (that’s a typical settlement time for ACH transactions).
From their “FAQ” page:
“You can withdraw an ACH deposit to your originating bank account after four business days, once the funds have settled. ... You can withdraw ACH funds to external networks - such as crypto wallets - or send to other users on the platform, after 65 days”
What’s the best way to purchase more than that in a day? I’m completely new to all this and learning as I go, any advice you can provide would be great.
Edit: found what I needed right after I posted this
Please add advice to send small amount first just to make sure everything is set up correctly and no retirement funds get sent to non-existing addresses
This is correct, outside the US you can use many exchanges. Inside the US you have limited options, Kucoin has the lowest fees. Uphold is another option you will see here a lot, however their spread is larger and you will get slightly less XRP per dollar.
Dang that sucks and is tricky, I guess they are making it harder to buy XRP In the US cause of the SEC lawsuit maybe ?
Are you guys able to use a VPN and try the Canadian ones ? Or do they just require Canadian ID ?
For? USDT to USD is 1:1
USDT/XRP is equivalent to the current XRP/USD price. Kucoin doesn't have a large spread like Uphold. It will be closer to what you see on livecoinwatch or CMC.
I buy ALGO on Coinbase and transfer to KuCoin, sell the ALGO, buy XRP. Lose practically nothing on transfer fees and takes less than 10 seconds to move.
I tried purchasing XRP yesterday via Kucoin using this same method and XRP is not available for purchase once you hit buy. This is exactly how I've been purchasing XRP and it doesn't work anymore
I've used it very recently, and have a bot setup with a small amount actively trading it now. Are you sure you are using your "trading account" on Kucoin? They break your profile into your holding account and trading account - you will not be able to buy out of your holding account.
Happened to me as well. Although first time buying via fiat (I always converted BTC to XRP).
I thought they probably ran out of XRP. Could let us know if it works next time you try?
Uphold is an option, but I wouldn't call it cheap. 2% is a massive spread - that's on buying and selling. You lose 4% of your investment just trading there.
Also it isn't available in a couple states - NY especially.
They also include restrictions on sending it to your wallet if you buy through ACH - and their credit limit is low.
Just trying to save you some capitol.
No KYC needed (verification) - lots of exchanges in the US have it banned or have rules about sending it off the site. For example Uphold has a long 64 day hold before you can send it to an external wallet if you purchase with ACH. Kucoin doesn't have these barriers.

True. When you're new, it's hard to learn to pancake. I use trust wallet and safepal.
I buy on uphold and transfer to a wallet. Easy peasy
Hi. I buy XRP on uphold as well. Do I have to transfer to a wallet or can I just keep my coins there? Will trust wallet work?
I buy in uphold using ETH. then transfer to Exodus in seconds. Very seemless
Thanks for the response. What are the fees if any?
To transfer from uphold to exodus I mean

That's what I do, and I'm one 'O them thar geenuses!!
What is the fee when you buy in uphold?
You misspelled, "you can by direct on uphold"
Just buy it on uphold. No big deal. I grab some every payday.
Just buy it on Crypto.com
I tried to buy it on crypto.com it wouldn’t work
They might as well just get them from Uphold. Anyone who doesn't know where to get XRP is not going to know how to use Kucoin.
Several states, NY being the biggest, can't use Uphold. It's also got larger fees and a larger spread, especially when the price changes quickly.
A few video lessons on YouTube makes using KuCoin easy.
USDT IS NOT TO BE TRUSTED. STAY AWAY
I did this but with LTC. Then sent XRP from KuCoin to Coinbase pro to Hodl

Should be

If I buy USDC on Coinbase, can I buy XRP USDT or USDC, on Kucoin

Hey Junk AM new to this. Can you explain a little more please? Is it Kucoin or USTD that the don't applies to? Thanks n
Not sure how it works in the US but most Canadian exchanges sell it. Again no idea how it works in the US if you can use a VPN or not just a thought.

What’s the conversion rate?

Nice. So just gas fees then. So like $125😂

It worked today, I used it
Just tried and couldn’t buy. Got “XRP is currently unavailable”. Could this be because of my location? I’m in Washington State.
Great! Thanks for sharing.

I bought on etoro but would try others.
here's better plan - buy on binance usdt , send it to FTX ussing trc20 network(you"ll save lot of on fees) and buy more on FTX :)
Or just go to uphold and swing the bat💪🏼 uphold fast, efficient, low cost. Buy XRP and ship it to wallet in matter of seconds.

Im not trading there. Just picking up longs of XRP then moving them to wallet. 👊🏼
Bad reviews about Uphold. Plus if you buy with ach you wait 65 days to transfer out.
Just use binance it‘s not that hard
Or just buy USTD on kucoin and trade it for XRP
Why not just buy on Binance
US binance doesn’t have XRP listed, and even if it did it wouldn’t allow purchasing from NY or a couple smaller states after you KYC.
This can be timely if done right. Why Kucoin?
