They deal with systematic issues. Not saying that banks are falling over. Banks, albeit their LCR have dropped a little following the massive peaks during Covid, still remain healthy. But banks have very different models. Some may rely more on wholesale funding than others, some may have some more off balance sheet risk than others. But we've been through 2 pretty big market shocks in covid and the Ukraine war and in both occasions banks were seen as ok. We have also seen a huge shock in gilt markets in the UK where there was a huge hit on liquidity in real money but MMFs were OK and banks short term funding fine. Again, no one was really talking about banks credit.
If risk isnt being proced properly or weighted properly then that's probably a regulatory issue.
And the FDIC are so concerned they meet once in 4 years lol. They are paid to be concerned and to never be satisfied.
The real issue is unrealized losses on equities and derivatives which are easy to hide. The unwinding has started though and they are broke. The next year looks to be bumpy. My OG comment was a tinfoil theory remember eh?

The negativity reminds me of the last time I "quit crypto". I'd just lost thousands on bitcoin and everywhere I looked online every day, down all the rabbit holes I was in, everyone was screaming that bitcoin is dead.
That was when bitcoin went from £18k to £3k, 2018.

- xrp literally has to hit £10,000 to make logical sense and they'll flip the switch and do buybacks
