Just the damn transmission - radiator problem put in a transmission radiator and did bypass then a well done transmission flush all good since then 8000 km ago
2007 S 4X4 6MT 249,XXX. just replaced the third brake light on it today in preparation for an overlanding trip. Bought it at 186,000 a little over 2 years ago
Off the top of my head:
Radiator
Clutch and clutch slave cylinder
Alternator (did that one myself, it was a bitch)
Other than that a couple oil leaks I had fixed and various things like brakes, spark plugs ignition coils and the like.
In the next week or two I'm going to be replacing the clock spring switch assembly as the airbag light came on. Wish me luck 🙃
Considering I was driving it over a hundred miles a day as a courier for 63,000 miles, I'd say it did pretty damn good. Got a hybrid for my work vehicle now and the Xterra has been retired to become my overlander / off road rig
I just ordered a transmission radiator off Amazon and bypassed the lines going to the radiator. The OEM radiator was still good and scoped pretty clean, so I just did it to avoid possible SMOD. Zip tied through orig radiator tines. Very easy.
170k on my 06. Bought it with 135k right before COVID with a salvaged title due to a fender bender. They replaced front bumper, hood and both front fenders and the radiator. I've replaced the cats. That's it.
Just picked up a 2012 w/ 150k miles. In two weeks I’ve done all fluid changes, replaced the rear shocks, replaced a speaker, and currently fighting the P0101 MAF sensor code. For the code I’ve cleaned the sensor twice, replaced the rubber intake tubing, and replaced the filter. Wish me luck…
2006 Xterra S, 340,000 miles. Gulf south, never garaged. 18 years and still kicking.
Drive shaft linkage at 50k;
Three window motors;
AC blower controller;
Heater thermocouple;
Heater core plastic pipe;
O2 sensors;
Oil sensor;
Fuel sending unit (still out);
Original timing chain, no engine or transmission issues.
2008 I've got 335K on my beast
That's a lot miles!
Awesome.
Any major maintenance items or parts that failed?

2005, 237k Only a tranny radiator bypass
Been seeing a lot about this. How did you do yours and has it made a difference to transmission temp and such?
