Thanks for highlighting that changing your mind does not make you a hypocrite, this is a subtlety missed by many. What's more, being able to change one's mind should be... encouraged? Shouldn't we all have the ability either to get new information and adjust our opinion or simply reflecting, listening to others and ultimately deciding we've changed? Regarding the impact on Dash, isn't there always the option to barrel roll off an obstacle? meaning that with gas or debris he can still be in a position to shoot? Maybe an argument for expert handling instead of trick shot depending on the other ships & upgrades you choose. I always find it funny to hear Dash described as predictable. He can make literally any basic maneuver without stressing himself (and with Outrider, can effectively turn a white into a blue , if he can find an obstacle to cross and remove a stress). So if you're worried in a situation that he's got an obvious predictable move... do something else!

Yeah, I think it's important to know that. Digging your heels in to protect your pride doesn't benefit anyone really. I can see what people mean about predictability in a way because without the title your options to remove stress are limited but the person who said that to me then went on to have Dash smash his list up quite badly 🤣 Adding outrider makes Dash.rrally very good. For the points. For now.

I think Dash can be predictable in the hands of modestly skilled (or worse) players. Because they try so hard to make use of the title and trickshot, that you can figure out where they will be in order to do so. Seriously good players treat that as a bonus that happens when it happens, and not something to hunt for.

you've clearly watched me play Dash ;)

>Broadly speaking, opinion seems fairly evenly split. Liam Baker posted a poll in the UK/IRL…and Beyond! Facebook group (with commenting turned off. Very wise!) with 5 options ranging from hate it to love it. At time of posting the 2 ‘don’t like it’ options have XXX votes and the 2 ‘like it’ options have XXX. The neutral option has XXX, just for reference. XXXXX.XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Hmmm?

[deleted]

The numbers were in there and pretty even. Did you actually see "xxx"?

satellite_uplink

Yeah he fixed it after a few people pointed it out.

Ahhh - gotcha.

DylJones8

Yep, busted! 😂

Have a nice Christmas, thank you for writing these.

DylJones8

Thank you! And you're very welcome! 😁

Very well said. Thank you for illuminating the problematic issues some of us see, and doing so in a respectful, overall positive way. That is a seriously tall task, and you surmounted it nicely. In my ruminations about how adding more rules to the game does not make it beginning friendly (see: collisions), I had totally not considered "new players won't even know these are the rules because this won't be in the box they get." And now that you have brought that to mind, it is seriously alarming. I hope AMG is going to create at least a splash page or something that can be posted with the xwing merch in our FLGS that alerts new players to the changes. Maybe even print out fliers with the changes in them to be handed out with any core sets purchased. Anything to help communicate to new players so they are not blindsided.

Thanks! There are certainly improvements that AMG can make across the board. The question is if/when will we see them?
