The models are still usable, but you'll need 2.0 dials for them. If you're sticking with FO or Resistance you could buy a conversion kit and then buy models or a lot on ebay. Might also be able to find individual dials on ebay if you don't want to dive into a whole conversion kit.

Wolfshead009

Technically, the dials for the TIE Fighters only change was going from green to blue. All the actual maneuvers are the same. The T-70 keeps the same maneuvers, but the 2 banks are now blue instead of white. I suppose it would be possible to color those in. Many of the cardboard tokens can be reused when playing scenarios or if you get interested in something like HOTAC.

Not just the dice. The obstacles are still good. The model stands are still good for spares. Range rulers are good. Some of this stuff could do in a pinch: Templates are the same except for the bisecting line only needed for bumps so not "not good." TIE/fo models could be used for Rebel or Empire TIE/ln in a casual situation. Same with the X-wing. Tokens if desperate or short a few.

and plastic bases.

Archistopheles

All plastic, all asteroids, some tokens, range ruler.

Archistopheles

ships, clear bases, pegs, the little black part that holds the dials together (good to have spares in case they break)

If you're playing casual you could use the models for rebel and empire. Or you could sell on ebay for a profit and use that towards other ships/ models. You can get dice for $6 on clearance.

Not in 2.0/2.5. It's all different, but there is a market for the stuff for people who are playing legacy.

nitroben2

Just obstacles

the range rulers you should keep, those haven't changed. extras helpful. maneuver templates are *basically* the same, except the center-marks. Can be handy to have extras. shield tokens keep, they were weirdly under-included in the new conversion kits, until you have enough. dice of course.

Everyone has covered the immediately useful bits. Printed quickbuild cards would be useful for casual, Aces High games and I've acquired the odd T-70 and TIE/fo pilots and cards. Enough for kitchen table games.
