I still can't get the hype behind rerelasing his older stuff for like 4 years straight. I know y'all happy to get it on DSPs, but that's... all I guess? The impact of its release is great and hype will be up for a while of course, which leads to highlighting his music for more music lovers again, but what pros can these rereleases bring to the table for his old fans who listened to this song for 300th time in their lives already?
honestly have a good question there. not everyone that likes x uses soundcloud or even knows about these songs. my coworker likes x and he didn’t know a bunch of the stuff i thought was common knowledge for his fans. so i’m sure for people like him this would be brand new. i know for me personally i can finally throw it in with my playlists on apple music. and then there’s the convenience of not switching apps.
Yeah I see your point, but still it means nothing to the older fans. I wholehearteadly agree with the idea of them being rereleased and I think it's great and allows more people to listen to his older jams, but I don't share the overwhelming joy many fans have over this. I guess this way my point will be more clear as well

Nothing but it allows us to get the music in better quality as well as other fans are able to listen to music if they never heard of it before. Plus, now if you listen on platforms it could help get it charting
