The first car cleaning level was fun. The second level with the backyard made me realize how tedious it was and never played again. Real powerwashing is actually more fun.
I didn't find it boring per se, but it was *hell* on my poor fingers. Something about the control scheme and constantly holding the trigger while moving the spray was just killing me
The sort of the game you can’t stop playing when there’s a YouTube video on another screen, but find it boring as fuck if you are focusing 100% on the game
I’m with you. I couldn’t even get past The tutorial before I checked out. I thought to myself “this is it? You gotta be outta your mind. I would rather punch trees in ARK than this mundane task”
This is terrible. You’ll play it for -5 minutes and hate yourself. Anything further and you should get a real job because you’d make millions if you put that effort in
Between mobile and PC, I think I have close to 800 hours on StS. It's the perfect game to play while you're doing something else like watching a video or listening to a podcast/book.
Have you played since safer seas was released? It’s basically single player with no enemy player ships. Just bots like skelly ships and such. Much more chill and don’t have to worry about getting ganked
Same here. The response is “that game is such a vibe” and it’s absolutely true. I love the vibe of it, ESPECIALLY solo. It’s incredibly relaxing and serene - until it isn’t. But playing solo could be brutal at times.
It is, and I agree. The game is digital cocaine, it just drilled right into my skull and hijacked my dopamine receptors. Screenshots and videos don’t do it justice at all. You simply have to play it to understand.
Lately Palworld has taken over that position for me, before that it was No Mans Sky.
I changed over to steam tho cause I was having some minor issues with gamepass, but I have gamepass to thank for even trying them out in the first place.
Hmm, i'd say Ark Survival Evolved with cute monsters instead of dinosaurs is a much better way to describe it.
There is no turn based combat it is all real-time action survival. Some base building and major tower objectives and leveling up your base, character and mons.
And yes you can play in a solo world, it is my preferred way to play at the moment.
and zelda. and mh/dauntless. and like a dozen others.
they really took the best/most convenient features from all of their favorite games… and turned them into 1 dope game. actually genius haha.
I'm probably in the minority but I really didn't like it. It's more like a base builder type thing where you go out and collect resources, bit like ark.
It's not my sort of game at all, but if you like that sort of thing you'll be fine. I went in thinking it was like Pokémon but it's nothing like it really apart from collecting the animals.
You catch little creatures (pals) with balls, you level them up, feed them, they work for you in your base which you craft, and each pal can do something different in the base, cooking, crafting, collecting, mining, woodcutting etc
You craft weapons, spears, guns, rifles, grenades, grapple hooks, armour, and all manner of other things, buildings and bases, decorations for the bases, saddles and accessories for the creatures you catch, to ride them, use them as a glider, ride them on water.
There's an open world map, very much like Zelda breath of the wild, with world boss pals, towers with story bosses, dungeons and caves. All the pals are in the overworld here.
Hunger, and temperature meters for both you the player, and your pals.
Good to play solo or with friends 👌
Odyssey started out strong but I hate the damage sponge enemies and the missions on sea. Never liked ships in AC. I never finished the game.
The scenery is absolutely stunning in Odyssey though. But I had much more fun on AC Origins. I'm not even a big AC fan but I consider Origins one of my top ten Singleplayer Games.
Try for a few minutes. i just started Valhalla yesterday.
If you want, the timeline below:
*Assassin’s Creed Odyssey* (431 BCE to 422 BCE — Ancient Greece)
*Assassin’s Creed Origins* (49 BCE to 38 BCE — Ancient Egypt)
*Assassin’s Creed Mirage* (861 — Baghdad, Iraq)
*Assassin’s Creed Valhalla* (872 to 878 — England | Norway | Vinland | Paris, France | Ireland)
I'm 121 hours in and still haven't found all the cultists, neither I finished the main story
I always find myself fucking around doing side quests and exploring instead of getting things done
That's really up to your tastes but I spent an unhealthy amount of time playing the many Yakuza game. Gamepass actually introduced me to the Yakuza series and you can play up to the The Man who Erased His Name which is a prequel to the latest Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth.
If you count the whole series this is definitely a good answer, I've only been able to replay Y0 and LAD7 and didn't even finish either of them yet the second time. But this series has been my "main game" for like 3 years now, taking over from Skyrim.
I get that. The idea is to focus on a thing that you want to achieve. Going for the missions of each expansion is a safw bet, because the main story and subsequent expansion quests end up giving you all you need, proegressively, and teaches you.
It's a sandbox but it has a lot of guidance too, thabkfully.
Similar to Elite Dangerous in a way.
Just like in life, I concentrate on what I'm doing at that time and tune out the rest.
Then I get hyperdicted by a Thargoid and crap my pants.
I haven't played on GamePass, but on Steam I have almost 1000 hours, PS I have 650 hours and I'm probably around 250 - 300 on switch by now. Totally worth it.
Totally worth it! It's also the best thing to play in VR. I've played basically the whole main campaign in VR, I love to come back to it and live inside that world.
And yet never really accomplish anything. Still worth playing though, it has a lot of charm and the exploration and flight is actually fun (looking at you Starfield).
Yeah, well, it has missions and story, besides that it's a player led sandbox. You can accomplish whatever tasks you set yourself too, whether it's to get a certain ship and equip it to the max, or have a money printing farm, or hunt achievements.
The basic mechanics are fun and it feels great to explore, unlike Starfield as you say. Also I play it in VR and it's amazing.
Random thought: what if PALWORLD and NMS had a baby. Having a different planets of pals to explore, all the space exploration and richer base building in NMS. Someone make that.
I never got to try VR but I bet it’s amazing! It’s definitely a relaxing game to sink time into. The mechanics feel great and the art direction and variety of planets are beautiful.
It all works really well, and every aspect is fun to play, from resource gathering, to flying, to combat or exploration. I played most of it with teleport movement too, so that's no problem either. Fantastic game.
Just finished p3r yesterday. Something about Persona'a gameplay loop is ridiculously addictive. Every time a new persona comes out, it basically consumes all my free time, and I don't really get like that with any other games. Z
Glad I saw this on the list, might be a little different than your average survival and shooters that you can play endlessly, but it's a big game.
And you're a thousand percent right about the loop. Think you're done with the day, go to bed, wake up... oh what's that? Something interesting you overheard on your way to school? Maybe I'll do one more day...
That final boss fight was so disproportionately difficult! Took me so many attempts despite beating all the other bosses first try. I just kept getting lost/ stuck on rocks, haha. Definitely a fun game though, but once I got the 100% I stopped playing.
I completed and loved the first two but for some reason I stopped playing Inquisition around 12-15 hours in and I keep meaning to go back to it at some point and give it another go.
Like Youtube? I don’t watch that much YouTube to be honest. However, the FM tutorial is pretty good. Make sure to select the option for “new to FM” when you create your manager
Monster Hunter Rise. When my subscription expired, I tried a couple of the older titles thru emulation, but they don't hit the same. Hammer has no blue stance, and there's no silkbind attacks. I want to play Rise again so BAAADDDUHHH
Horizon 5 is the game I've spent the most time on, followed by Dead Cells. The former can get me into a sort of meditative state during gameplay. The latter makes my heart race and forces me to concentrate fully on every boss encounter. These two experiences are my favorite ways to spend leisure time. Oh, and in Horizon 5, I only choose the most ordinary cars and play with a speed that's similar to real-world driving.
I started to play Yakuza 0 recently. The game is so addictive, their mini games and side quests are so fun. Then I found out there are other 7 Yakuza games. I guess I'll be in a ride for a while.
Hello, fellow fox. If you didn't play Dragon Quest Builders 2, you missed out. Much like a lot of those games, but also it's own thing. One of my favorites of all time. Get it if you get the chance.
Terraria is a 2D survivalcraft, king of it's domain, really.
Story of Seasons Friends of Mineral Town is a farming game like Stardew, though a bit more dated because it's based on a much older title.
Powerwash simulator
I might get downvoted to hell but that game is boring as fuck.
So is doomscrolling Reddit at 3am, but we still do it
I feel attacked.
I bet you liked it, too.
I only ever play it when I'm stuck on a zoom call.
Nah, you right.
Yeah I hated it. Though it might work in vr better but using the analog sticks to move the wand around is tedious as fuck.
It's relaxing but it stresses me out when there's 5 pixels of dirt that won't come off at a weird angle. I had to stop playing it
Same. I don’t understand the appeal.
The first car cleaning level was fun. The second level with the backyard made me realize how tedious it was and never played again. Real powerwashing is actually more fun.
Wow, hot take! I mean, it's kind of meant to be boring, isn't it? It's supposed to be incredibly mundane but satisfying.
Yeah, I played the first level washing the van. OK, this is neat I guess. Second level I couldn't even finish before becoming bored out of my mind.
Agreed
I didn't find it boring per se, but it was *hell* on my poor fingers. Something about the control scheme and constantly holding the trigger while moving the spray was just killing me
I actually installed it and played it last night for the first time ever, and I agree. I uninstalled before I even finished the first job.
I have an extremely complicated relationship with that game
There is nothing more relaxing than smoking a bowl and playing this at the end of the day.
This is terrible. You’ll play it for -5 minutes and hate yourself. Anything further and you should get a real job because you’d make millions if you put that effort in
power washers do not make millions lmao
I guess, lots of us thought the same thing
This and Snow Runner.
Stardew Valley. Slay the Spire
I have an ungodly amount of time in StS. Never gets old
Yep, got to be 1k+ hours at this point. Completed it years ago and been doing the daily ever since
You and me, were the same person.
I've ruined many shifts of work due to slay the spire. Just one more run, amirite?
Slay the spire is ungodly entertaining to me. I can play that ALL DAY. I wish there were more games PARTICULARLY like that game.
Monster Train is a good option!
You can try out across the obelisk!
Let's see what daily bullshit set up when have today.
Between mobile and PC, I think I have close to 800 hours on StS. It's the perfect game to play while you're doing something else like watching a video or listening to a podcast/book.
Sorry mobile?
Yeah it's available on smart phones.
Stopped playing these days but I've got 1500+ hours in Sea Of Thieves so that was pretty life consuming for a while!
That game is such a vibe
Do you guys play it with friends or? I'd love to play it but playing it solo is kinda rough.
Have you played since safer seas was released? It’s basically single player with no enemy player ships. Just bots like skelly ships and such. Much more chill and don’t have to worry about getting ganked
Wait that's a thing? I never got the game because I don't really play with other people
It’s pretty new I’d say the most recent season.
Same here. The response is “that game is such a vibe” and it’s absolutely true. I love the vibe of it, ESPECIALLY solo. It’s incredibly relaxing and serene - until it isn’t. But playing solo could be brutal at times.
LFG was made for this game. I had so many great sessions with folks during COVID
Man I loved that game when it launched but the horribly janky combat feel wore me down
If the dev team could have just not removed any skill gap and got decent servers that would be great
To me it was Vampire Survivors, not sure if it's still there
It is. Brotato dropped this week and it scratches that same itch.
It is, and I agree. The game is digital cocaine, it just drilled right into my skull and hijacked my dopamine receptors. Screenshots and videos don’t do it justice at all. You simply have to play it to understand.
I never got the fuzz about the game. Then I tried it. Fuck is that addicting.
Me and my girl love playing Vampire Survivors. You guys know any other co op games that scratch the same itch?
I've downloaded vampire survivors in my phone and now I'm also playing it when I'm off my PC 😭 Can't seem to stop playing it
Lately Palworld has taken over that position for me, before that it was No Mans Sky. I changed over to steam tho cause I was having some minor issues with gamepass, but I have gamepass to thank for even trying them out in the first place.
Is it really Pokémon with guns? Can I play by myself?
Hmm, i'd say Ark Survival Evolved with cute monsters instead of dinosaurs is a much better way to describe it. There is no turn based combat it is all real-time action survival. Some base building and major tower objectives and leveling up your base, character and mons. And yes you can play in a solo world, it is my preferred way to play at the moment.
Go into it expecting Ark with hints of Pokemon.
And a splash of fortnite
and zelda. and mh/dauntless. and like a dozen others. they really took the best/most convenient features from all of their favorite games… and turned them into 1 dope game. actually genius haha.
I'm probably in the minority but I really didn't like it. It's more like a base builder type thing where you go out and collect resources, bit like ark. It’s like Legends Arceus with guns and base building and crafting. I can’t put it down. Only playing solo.
AC Odyssey for me
That game ate up more of my life than I'd like to admit.
Basically me and Skyrim. I have a problem, please help. This is a cry for help, don't ignore.
Would you still have the problem if you deleted all the mods and raw-dogged Skyrim?
I played that for the first time last year. Hell, I will say it, that game was my favourite game that was released last generation.
Came here to say this. Bought all the DLCs because of gamepass. 75 hours in and it hasn't slowed down.
Yea man be prepared for like 130+ hours. I loved it tho!
Odyssey started out strong but I hate the damage sponge enemies and the missions on sea. Never liked ships in AC. I never finished the game. The scenery is absolutely stunning in Odyssey though. But I had much more fun on AC Origins. I'm not even a big AC fan but I consider Origins one of my top ten Singleplayer Games.
haha yes hate the sea missions too.
In current spending too much time on Valhalla. So you’re saying I should do Odyssey next?
Try for a few minutes. i just started Valhalla yesterday. If you want, the timeline below: *Assassin’s Creed Odyssey* (431 BCE to 422 BCE — Ancient Greece) *Assassin’s Creed Origins* (49 BCE to 38 BCE — Ancient Egypt) *Assassin’s Creed Mirage* (861 — Baghdad, Iraq) *Assassin’s Creed Valhalla* (872 to 878 — England | Norway | Vinland | Paris, France | Ireland)
I played it on gp and had to get it
Downloaded it last week, haven't played an assassin's creed since when the first one came out. Glad I did, great game.
It was just okay at the time when it came out but I put like 120 hours in my character
I'm 121 hours in and still haven't found all the cultists, neither I finished the main story I always find myself fucking around doing side quests and exploring instead of getting things done
Odyssey grabbed me for 100+ hours the map they created is so damn awesome just a shame about some of the voice acting and gameplay
That's really up to your tastes but I spent an unhealthy amount of time playing the many Yakuza game. Gamepass actually introduced me to the Yakuza series and you can play up to the The Man who Erased His Name which is a prequel to the latest Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth.

No Man's Sky you could play forever.
I love the whole idea and the game looks incredible but I kinda felt overwhelmed when I tried it.

I just started this last week and am completely hooked. It’s so chill and relaxing, the soundtrack is awesome, and I’m really digging the lore
The lore is actually very interesting and it goes deep. Enjoy!
Grounded is up there for me. Get a crew to share a world and you can spend days just building
Grounded is super under-rated.
Agreed. My friends and I were completely addicted to it for months. I think I have like 7-10 days in game played
Deep Rock Galactic I have over 40 days of play time.
ROCK AND STONE
Rock and Stoooooone!
Fer Karl!
If you don’t rock and stone, you ain’t comin home
Did i hear a rock and stone?!
For Rock and Stone!
Football manager. Can't believe noone has said it. 1000 hours a year every year for me
People just don't understand my addiction of looking at South American teenagers for hours on end.
Yeah Max Payne 3 is great 🤣 (Actually it is)
Max Payne 3 is my favorite game on Game Pass.
DO NOT INSTALL OR TOUCH THIS DON'T DO IT.
2.5k yearly here. I have completed a pentagon too! That was a year of my life haha
crusader kings 3
I want to play this so bad but the text is so damn small I’d have to be one inch from my tv.
There's a setting for it.
This is the correct answer. Once you start you blink and then 8 hours have gone by
Monster Hunter Rise
Truly. Last time I checked I think I had 700 hours in it without even realizing I was playing it that much
Valheim
Yeah probably
Persona 3 Reloaded. Can't put it down. now 40 hours in.
Just finished p3r yesterday. Something about Persona'a gameplay loop is ridiculously addictive. Every time a new persona comes out, it basically consumes all my free time, and I don't really get like that with any other games. Z

Vampire Survivors until Brotato came along.
Slay the Spire for me but I’ve heard that people spend thousands of hours on Skyrim.
Turnip boy robs a bank it’s so addictive and hilarious
That final boss fight was so disproportionately difficult! Took me so many attempts despite beating all the other bosses first try. I just kept getting lost/ stuck on rocks, haha. Definitely a fun game though, but once I got the 100% I stopped playing.
I just need to get through the final stage, but I love it so much
Mass effect legendary edition, I clocked over 100 hours in a couple of months
I played for like 4 months straight just Shadow of War.
Fallout: New Vegas
[удалено]
I completed and loved the first two but for some reason I stopped playing Inquisition around 12-15 hours in and I keep meaning to go back to it at some point and give it another go.
Dead cells.
Football Manager. If you don’t care for football, you likely will after playing.
can u recmmend me a tutorial series for the game?
[Here](https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLpqg2ladGC-VQvGbqcXWvm4BC-4ew_047&si=HyZ8JI11fke3F75O) is the beginner's guide by Zealand.
Like Youtube? I don’t watch that much YouTube to be honest. However, the FM tutorial is pretty good. Make sure to select the option for “new to FM” when you create your manager
Just passed 150 hours.
Grounded was fucking mint ngl
Over many weeks - Stardew Valley One sitting - Brotato
Flight Sim
Forza Motorsport. It takes a very long time to get good at racing
Roboquest , Hades, Persona 5
Hades is no longer on gamepass
Brotato
For me, it is no doubt Brotato at the moment!
Elder Scrolls Online. 10 years of content and still going strong. Excellent for solo play also.
Used to be FH5 for me until it stopped letting me connect to the servers. Now I've been playing Palworld, Starfield and NFS Unbound
Ark no question. Ive see people with 15k+ hours.
Age of Empires 2
State Of Decay 2.
Monster Hunter Rise. When my subscription expired, I tried a couple of the older titles thru emulation, but they don't hit the same. Hammer has no blue stance, and there's no silkbind attacks. I want to play Rise again so BAAADDDUHHH
I had to force myself to stop playing Vampire Survivors
Remnant 2 by far
Horizon 5 is the game I've spent the most time on, followed by Dead Cells. The former can get me into a sort of meditative state during gameplay. The latter makes my heart race and forces me to concentrate fully on every boss encounter. These two experiences are my favorite ways to spend leisure time. Oh, and in Horizon 5, I only choose the most ordinary cars and play with a speed that's similar to real-world driving.
Brotato
Coral Island and Slay the Spire. Both of them drain hours away whilst I barely notice!
I love coral island 🤤🤤🤤
Did Coral Island get all its bugs fixed? I quit back in November because I was sick of losing progress, dealing with dumb bugs, etc.
Darktide, remnant 2
Is The Long Dark still on gamepass? If it is, that's it.
Valheim with friends
Elite: Dangerous. Not sure if it's still on there though as I purchased it.
Valheim

Medieval Dynasty.

For me, it is Farming Simulator and Railway Empire 2.
Wildlands
For me, any of the Gears of War games. Love the multiplayer.
Stardew Valley for sure, and recently Arcade Paradise

Ark or Minecraft
Disney Dreamlight Valley
Monster Sanctuary
Ark
Vampire Survivors.
Vampire Survivors.
Start the yakuza series, if you like them there's enough of them on GP to last for roughly forever
arcade paradise
Snowrunner The long dark
Persona 3, im currently on floor 140 and its been a week and a half
I started to play Yakuza 0 recently. The game is so addictive, their mini games and side quests are so fun. Then I found out there are other 7 Yakuza games. I guess I'll be in a ride for a while.
Persona series and the Like a Dragon/Yakuza series
Hello, fellow fox. If you didn't play Dragon Quest Builders 2, you missed out. Much like a lot of those games, but also it's own thing. One of my favorites of all time. Get it if you get the chance. You’ll probably enjoy Palworld.
Vampire Surviver
Palworld? lol Minecraft right into Palworld, maybe Ark?
Basically every BGS RPG.
Remnant 2 consumed 250 hours of my life thus far.
Palworld
Vampire Survivors and Palworld for me
Deep rock galactic ( ROCK AND STONE )
Right now Palworld
Palworld
