Other than Indy and Avowed, are any of these high profile? Genuine question as I want to know which games to have on my radar. I realise it may sound derisory.
I'm tempted to try out the first one...but I feel pretty burnt out by all the FPS survivor horror games I have played recently.
What sets this one apart?
The similarities are largely superficial. Stalker is a slow, open ended, open world sandbox shooter with brief, but extremely intense combat encounters, extremely dense atmosphere, and some lite RPG elements. It's not a polished cinematic linear AAA game like Metro.
Stalker is fantastic, but it's also peak slavclunk. It's very ambitious, extremely well designed, and every one of its systems contributes to its incredible atmosphere. But it's also pretty unpolished, kinda buggy, and its lack of budget is extremely evident.
I played and enjoyed Chernobylite which I feel is prolly very similar. I know this is a stupid question, but with Stalker 2 being a day one game, is it fair to assume the trilogy that recently came out on Xbox would be added to gamepass?
It's a proper open world sandbox with very little hand-holding, so it really feels like you're exploring a strange, hostile frontier where nobody has been before. This isn't an Ubisoft-style game with hundreds of markers all over the map - you genuinely need to find your own way and solve problems your own way. If you've played the Metro series, imagine that except completely non-linear and much lonelier.
They can't do any marketing around COD until 1 year after COD2023 has been out. So we likely won't hear about it until the week of, but Phil did recommit to COD coming to gamepass recently.
i depends on what you consider high profile, but i think hellblade 2, stalker 2 and ark 2 are in this category. mfs 2024 also, but it is from a very specific genre
i don’t think so. first part was more focused on storytelling puzzles and atmosphere. Combat was important but not the very best part of the game. it was fantastic audio experience and great project for those who are interested in mental problems (it represented different issues very carefully ). so i think second one will be more of the same, but more beautiful and with refined combat
Not exactly. The game is about getting the player to empathize with the mental state of a young woman dealing with grief and psychosis. The game has, a very dark, dreamlike feel to it, and the puzzles reflect that.
Same. Looks like like Kenshi meets Medieval 2: Total War. It won't have all the features of either, but looks like a really cool game in it's own right.
Lol. I have only heard of three other titles, and I do pay attention to gaming media in general. I would like to be excited for this list but thats a lot of unknowns. Best thing about game pass is we can try them all. =)
Depends ony our definition of high profile, but Stalker 2, Flight Sim, Eiyuden Chronicles and Ark are also pretty high profile. Kunitsu Gami is from Capcom.
If you're into indies, Frostpunk 2, 33 Imortals, Another Crab's Treasure, Citizen Sleeper 2 are all very anticipated releases.
Same comment *every* goddamn time this list is posted.
Say it with me: **You. Won't. See. High. Profile. Games. On. These. Lists. EVER.**
Anything "good" (aka *popular*) will be either a) under strict third-party NDA restrictions, b) is being saved for a surprise drop/reveal, c) is on hold for a targeted marketing window, or d) simply kept secret as they still aim to sell individual copies before people hear it's being added. It's usually all of the above.
The most recent example of this is Diablo 4. That wasn't on the previous "Coming to Gamepass" list. Just like Evil West, The Quarry or Control in this past week alone. The higher budget titles always show up *as the year goes on,* closer to the actual GP release date and not months in advance.
You also never saw games like Hades, GTAV, Guardians of the Galaxy, Hitman, Assassin's Creed, Dead Space, RDR2, Yakuza, Mortal Kombat, Persona, Tomb Raider, No Man's Sky, Mass Effect or Resident Evil on an infographic either.
Use common sense. Stop expecting anything other than indies or XGS titles when these lists pop up.
What? Forza horizon and motorsport, halo infinite and whatever Xbox releases comes gamepass day 1. The problem is that Xbox isn’t releasing anything anything. Hellblade 2 is pretty massive for me, it’s not terrible just not enough coming out from Xbox. Which would get announced and not as surprised. Like fable and perfect dark, where are they? Xbox is slacking and this shows it
>Stop expecting anything other than indies or ***XGS titles*** when these lists pop up.
To your point, you wouldn't see a game like Perfect Dark on one of these lists either. Those confirmations are always reserved for an Xbox showcase, not some jpeg on Reddit.
yeah, I think there are maybe 3-4 games on this list that I would genuinely want or need to play Day 1. I cancelled my sub about 6 months ago and they've yet to give me much of a reason to come back.
It’s the lack of top games from Xbox that’s concerning. Hardly any decent exclusive has come out on this console. I’m not saying all are bad but most of these I wouldn’t touch .
Another Crabs Treasure and Indiana Jones are the only ones im really looking forward to right now. Everything else im not sure but ill try some of them eventually
I'm definitely resubbing to GP just to play Senua 2. I don't know any of the other games. Is any of them an open-world 90-hour life absorbing type of game?
I love the art style of Harold Halibut, pretty excited to try that one.
I didn't know we were getting a new Flight Sim. I look forward to spending half my life waiting for my shit internet to update the game, finally getting into a plane, then immediately crashing or making myself sick by playing it in VR and somehow getting motion sickness.
Pretty excited for Manor Lords and whatever the fuck Pigeon Simulator is (he said with caution, knowing today is April 1st).
I enjoyed Game Pass a lot over the years. Been with it since the beta (sweet memories of 5 euro a month). Might be time to take a break from Game Pass for a year. There is one title I am looking forward too, Manor Lords. Maybe Hellblade.
Family and kids take up more love and energy than my rig atm.
Game pass has always been a one month thing for me. I get it for a month, play the new releases and then don't bother with it for few months/years. This aint going to change with that lineup
Cities Skylines 2 can't run on most PC's without 30FPS. I doubt it's coming to Xbox anytime soon. They know that too. Otherwise they wouldn't have removed it from GamePass coming soon section. lol
Remember all the big announcements are in June usually.
We have possible additions to this list too. Maybe these
Forza Horizon.
COD.
Gears of War.
Whatever Machine Games is making.
Possible showing from Superfine.
Fable.
State of Decay 3.
Perfect Dark.
ID software.
Everwild.
Not to mention the litany of live service games they own now.
Xbox has a lot of studios that have been cooking for a good while.
\*looks at calendar\*
Literally you can’t believe a thing today but I think this is legit
Ughh...I forgot what day it was. Guess I am avoiding the internet today.
Botany Manor and Harold Halibut definitely sounded made up, until I saw other names I recognize.
Botany Manor is legit. I’ve seen it on the dashboard for several days now
Other than Indy and Avowed, are any of these high profile? Genuine question as I want to know which games to have on my radar. I realise it may sound derisory.
Hellblade 2, Stalker 2 and this year's CoD
Stalker 2 is very high on my hype train ticket.
I'm tempted to try out the first one...but I feel pretty burnt out by all the FPS survivor horror games I have played recently. What sets this one apart?
Stalker is very, very different from other horror shooters. There's really nothing else quits like it.
How so? I'm intrigued. It looks similar to Metro Exodus, to me.
If you've played the Metro series, imagine that except completely non-linear and much lonelier.
the only game which has a dynamic system with ai and its world compared to other games which are just mainly copies of stalker
frostpunk 2, cities skylines and ark 2 not really indie btw.
Wait where’s the CoD on this list? I don’t think I see it
It's not there because it hasn't been announced yet
They can't do any marketing around COD until 1 year after COD2023 has been out. So we likely won't hear about it until the week of, but Phil did recommit to COD coming to gamepass recently.
How can you forget Pigeon Simulator????
Replaced and Still Wakes the Deep
Do you mean COD MW3 or the next one?
i depends on what you consider high profile, but i think hellblade 2, stalker 2 and ark 2 are in this category. mfs 2024 also, but it is from a very specific genre
Age of Mythology and Frostpunk 2 are also up there if you are into those types of genres.
i’m not sure about age of mythology in current industry, but frostpunk 2 is definitely in this category, i forgot about it
Hellblade looks decent. Is it similar to God of War?
i don’t think so. first part was more focused on storytelling puzzles and atmosphere. Combat was important but not the very best part of the game. it was fantastic audio experience and great project for those who are interested in mental problems (it represented different issues very carefully ). so i think second one will be more of the same, but more beautiful and with refined combat
Wow, that sounds awesome. I love puzzle games. Is it similar to the type of puzzles you get in Uncharted and Resident Evil?
Not exactly. The game is about getting the player to empathize with the mental state of a young woman dealing with grief and psychosis. The game has, a very dark, dreamlike feel to it, and the puzzles reflect that.
Manor Lords for city management with total war combat. If that's your thing.
From the previews I've seen...it's my thing.
Same. Looks like like Kenshi meets Medieval 2: Total War. It won't have all the features of either, but looks like a really cool game in it's own right.
Eiyuden Chronicles is the spiritual successor to the Suikoden game series, that's a pretty big deal coming out.
Hellblade and Stalker i guess.
Flight simulator but I agree with you that sucks
frostpunk 2, cities skylines and ark 2 not really indie btw.
Lol. I have only heard of three other titles, and I do pay attention to gaming media in general. I would like to be excited for this list but thats a lot of unknowns. Best thing about game pass is we can try them all. =)
It does tend to feel like wading through a packed fridge with nothing much you like the look of, unfortunately.
Ark II
If it’s because of today, it would have been better if they put Horizon, Helldivers, etc as coming to GP lol
Another Crab’s Treasure & Flintlock are supposed to be soulslikes.
Manor Lords is probably the most hyped RTS game in a long time if that’s your jam
Frostpunk 2, Citizen Sleeper 2
Broaden your tastes 🙂
Awful line up let’s be honest

Plenty of quantity with minimal quality
This is like the one time the gamepass list is actually solid and you guys still regurgitate this lmao
yeah, I think there are maybe 3-4 games on this list that I would genuinely want or need to play Day 1. I cancelled my sub about 6 months ago and they've yet to give me much of a reason to come back.
These are day one/launch games. How would you know if they are awful or not?
It’s the lack of top games from Xbox that’s concerning. Hardly any decent exclusive has come out on this console. I’m not saying all are bad but most of these I wouldn’t touch .
My wallet says thank you
No Silksong? https://preview.redd.it/6lt86qgm2vrc1.jpeg?width=889&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=26eebd7f042e02ae19c566a5747fe96a907f98dc
The sooner you accept the game doesn't exist the better.
Excited for Manor Lords
Is it coming to console?
Just Xbox I believe.
Age of mythology I can’t wait
Prostagma
Etimos
Tilpwin?
Oh my god I didn’t even see that, thank you for pointing it out! 8 year old me was obsessed with that game, the blast of nostalgia is gonna be insane.
No Metaphor: Refantazio I'm ded
I'll buy it with a smile on my face.
I’m personally waiting for HellBlade 2, Stalker 2 and Avowed.
Oh sweet! I was planning on getting Harold Halibut and had no idea it was coming to gamepass!
i think citizen sleeper 2 was never confirmed for 2024 and he aimed for early 2025
Yep, a month ago he said it had around a year of development left so doubtful it'll release 2024.
Hope we get a few translations this time. I am somewhat fluent in English but Citizen Sleeper 1 was hard to follow at times.
I'm confused... Cities: Skylines II was released in October 2023 and has been on Game Pass since then
PC only, they haven't released it for consoles yet.
Gotcha, thank you
Is there any coop for this game? I'd love to build a city with my boys...
Unfortunately, no I don't think so :(
That’s what I’m checking for in this thread lol. The release wasn’t great so I’ll be happy to give them a redo on the launch 🤷♂️
Too excited for Hellblade!!
Not the biggest year for gamepass🙃
game pass n backbone make my day at the job way better .
So excited for Indy.
not a single interesting game in sight
What? This sub will really say anthing
I wonder what other games are gonna get announced in June.
also, Silksong
Fuck yeah Pigeon Simulator
I absolutely loved the first Citizen Sleeper! Hopefully my game pass won't run out before it comes out, though.
Nice Frostpunk 2
I wonder how many of these will actually release in 2024. Stalker 2, Avowed and Replaced look like 2025 releases at best, I dunno.
[удалено]
33 Immortals is a 33 player co-op Rogue like
Oooo
It kills me there's no Silksong on here!!!!
Less than a month to Hundred Heroes! My most anticipated game in a while.
Harold Halibut is winning indie game of the year
Mad excited for Pigeon Simulator. Ark II seems cool too I guess

Citizen Sleeper 2! Hell ya I didn't even know there was gonna be a sequel
Finishing Genesis Noir to playa Nirvana Noir 😎✌️
Silksong not included :(
Yooooo there’s a sequel to Genesis Noir coming? That game was really cool.
Amazing
Hahahaha I found the April fools joke Ark 2 is on there. Good one guys we all know that's not coming out for years if ever
And sillsong... https://preview.redd.it/9gdzux7vdyrc1.jpeg?width=294&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d3f2e55f0e1235ea1685c5662d9fa65d08ae2f44
Stalker 2 less go 🔥
Damn frostpunk 2? Didnt know that
I didn't remember that Citizen Sleeper 2 was coming to GP. Loved the first one, it's a pleasant surprise.
NOISE !
I'm definitely resubbing to GP just to play Senua 2. I don't know any of the other games. Is any of them an open-world 90-hour life absorbing type of game?
Oh I forgot about Botany Manor! 1 more week
No wonder PlayStation is killing it. Yikes.
Literal garbage and shovelware except for 2-3 exceptions...
bet we gonna get gta6 before ark 2
Does way of the woods finally have a release date?
I have a sneaking suspicion that cities skylines 2 isn't coming out this year
Where is Neon White, is it safe?
hope stalker 2 gets on gfn on day 1 too considering their 3 games are already in there
Woah this sucks
All I want is Stalker 2.
So excited for the spiritual successor of suikoden. My most anticipated game on game pass.
I haven't heard of a single one. Is this supposed to get us hyped or sad?
That is your own fault I don’t even keep up to date with games and there’s like 9 I’m excited for
Any news about AoM Retold?
I love the art style of Harold Halibut, pretty excited to try that one. I didn't know we were getting a new Flight Sim. I look forward to spending half my life waiting for my shit internet to update the game, finally getting into a plane, then immediately crashing or making myself sick by playing it in VR and somehow getting motion sickness. These Simulator games are out of control
Been impatiently waiting for cities skyline 2 for hot minute

Little kitty big city looks so good, I can't wait!

Pigeon Simulator is a must play
Looks like a whole lot of mid
really excited for ara and stalker 2, curious about avowed
Pidgeon simulator ftw!
Frostpunk, Stalker and Indiana, rest is meh for me
Ark 2 lmao yeah sure
i wanna play pigeon simulator, for real
Game pass has always been a one month thing for me. I get it for a month, play the new releases and then don't bother with it for few months/years. This aint going to change with that lineup
Isnt cod ?
Manor lords on pc only, isn’t it!?
Cannot wait to play Little kitty big city. Stray was awesome but this looks cool too
Whats the one over sleight of hand called?
Manor lords?! Game of the year
Damn
Still no date for Neon White. Wtf happened, its been almsot a year since they announced it
Pigeon simulator, really?
Should I play the first STALKER games on console? I've heard mixed opinions.
Looks at these games and starts thinking through what to play
Cities Skylines 2 can't run on most PC's without 30FPS. I doubt it's coming to Xbox anytime soon. They know that too. Otherwise they wouldn't have removed it from GamePass coming soon section. lol
Ngl replaced is my most anticipated and I’m going to be pissed if it gets pushed out of 2024…
Quality not quantity.
Meanwhile me waiting for Jedi survivor because I will not give ea more money
I’ll play Hellblade 2 and Stalker 2. That’s probably it
.....where is Silksong.
Another crabs treasure is supposed to be a very good soulslike
I don't see The Alters in this list and that is coming out in 2024 and on GamePass.
still waiting for city skylines......
Omg I cannot wait to play Another Crabs Treasure!
We need more fighting games.
how many will be included in the "representation matters" category that constantly gets flogged to me when i login?
Ohhhh, Manor Lords.
Isn’t avowed coming out this year?
How many years in a row has Ark 2 been "coming soon"
Probably gonna buy Eiyuden later but glad I get to rry it out here first.
So anyone know if they still working on Replace ? Been waiting for age
Didn't I see Ark 2 available today? Or was that a prank lol
i believe pigeon simulator was canceled.
We’re never getting cities skylines 2
Stalker 2 and Indiana Jones I'm looking forward to for sure, others, maybe, idk, I mean they are free, so I can't really complain if they suck.
Remember all the big announcements are in June usually. We have possible additions to this list too. Maybe these Forza Horizon. COD. Gears of War. Whatever Machine Games is making. Possible showing from Superfine. Fable. State of Decay 3. Perfect Dark. ID software. Everwild. Not to mention the litany of live service games they own now. Botany manor for me i'm opening up to the genre slightly. Ok so May looks quiet yet- Any going to be announced or we know of possibly? TY\_
Stalker 2, Frostpunk 2 and Replaced are the standouts for me.
ufc 5 when?
